A great veterinary facility. The Vetrinarian's that we dealt with were knowledgeable, evaluated our pet, and thoroughly reviewed other facilities prior work. I have been taking my animals to Liverpool Animal Hospital for awhile. 5 stars all the way around. Dr. Holtze is the only vet I have had the privilege of meeting but, I'm sure they are all great. He is very knowledgeable, direct, informative and honest. I have the utmost respect for him. Recently one of my friend's dogs was very sick. He got her in the same day, fixed what he could immediately and gave suggestions as to how to handle care of his other animals. I couldn't ask for a better person to look after my animals. The vet was to give my fiance's dog a dental exam. The vet only looked at front upper teeth and said teeth were fine. Spoke to the owner to ask if that constitutes a proper manual dental exam. He said "no" and offered to look at the teeth himself. He noticed tartar on a front tooth and said he could scrape it off if we would like. We agreed. He was eye level with the dog near the floor and was laying the dental tool on the floor instead of a paper towel in between scraping the tartar off. Then using it again on my fiance's dog. That is quite unsanitary and we never went back after that. They also ask their customers to give them reviews . A review should not be asked for. Dr. Carista is my favorite, but every doc here is good. A Dr. P (can’t remember his name) did my cats spay and did an excellent job. He called me afterwards to let me know that everything went well. He does the surgeries on Friday. I’ve also had many dogs over the years that have had care from here. I would highly recommend this Liverpool Animal hospital to any pet owner. Read Less

Great People here, One of the best vet's around. Recently i had a dog pass and choose to have Liverpool animal hospital handle the cremation instead of my usual vet, they where $100 Dollars cheaper, AND i got the ash's back in a VERY nice carved wooden box. Liverpool animal Hospital Also did a clay paw print, where most places will ONLY give you ink on paper unless you pay $30-$60 more. I am Very Pleased to say that They will be my surviving dogs, cats, and hopefully my reptiles new vet(not every vet is an exotic reptile vet). I've always had a great experience with Liverpool Village Animal Hospital. We always see Dr. Carista. This week Dr. Carista saved my little girl. Kay was so sick, not eating, drinking, walking and running an exceptionally high fever. Dr. Carista went above and beyond and took care of Kay as if she was her own cat, even when she had IVs and spent the night in kitty hospital. The attention to Kay (and her very emotional and sad Mommy) was amazing. I can not thank Dr. Carista enough for getting Kay turned around and on a path to a healthy recovery. Read Less

So I'm a bit conflicted and I go back and forth on whether they should get a 5 star or a 4 star.  Because while the services and staff are beyond excellent, the prices...well lets just say that you may be set back quite a bit.  We came here for our cat a little bit ago because she kept trying to throw up and couldn't get anything out but bile, and when she did eat she would instantly throw up.  It was extremely depressing.  So not wanting to lose her, I brought her in.They ended up keeping her for a few nights and we really never did get a solid answer on what was causing the issue, but I'm honestly happy that she ended up being okay.  They did x-rays, checked her blood, and all kinds of tests.  The poor thing was miserable and stopped cleaning her fur during her visit.  We believe it was a blockage because after we did a...barium flush I believe, she started getting better.  Slowly she started eating again and was able to hold down solid foods.  The theory is that she may have had a huge hair ball that was stuck and the flush pushed it out.The part I really like about this hospital is that they know how much pet owners love their pets.  They let us come and visit our cat everyday to give her hugs and try to make her feel better.  That was huge to us, because we were really hurting not having her at home.  So there in lies my confliction.  Amazing hospital for pets that truly care, but one that will sometimes make you max out a credit card or two.  I started as a 4 because I remembered the price, but I changed it to a 5 once I remembered how great they were to Luna. very reasonable pricing, only downside, Bailey was supposed to have a follow-up within a month to check her ears and make sure the medication was working and i asked them to send me a reminder but they never did and i had to bring her in bc she had another infection right as the first dose was wearing off and the cost possibly could have been lower had we done the follow up but, everyone is absolutely great. The entire front staff welcomes Odie when he visits - Dr. Jordan is excellent with Odie whether it's an ear problem or just a regular visit for shots. We really hope we can find a "Liverpool Animal Hospital" look-a-like when we move to South Carolina. Hi, Clover and Shatzie's mom here. We have moved to Seymour, TN and after trying 2 other vets, we settled on one 18 miles away, but we'll see. Shatzie had a rough adjustment to this apartment complex. He became very barky and aggressive toward other, and much larger dogs than he. I had to drop him off at the county humane society, and after 21 days HE selected a retired fellow that wanted a companion and someone to take long walks with. The staff was delighted, because this fellow had visited their pet-adoption events a few times this summer, and Shatzie, quite shelter-wise, took an immediate liking to him. I brought my dog Harley in to get a kennel cough shot. Dr, Nicole Carista took extra time to examine him. She took the time to explain to me about the shot, how it works and what to expect. After the visit she made a comment to my dog, Harley about kidnapping him and keeping him in her cubicle. I don't know if she knew I heard but it made me feel great. knowing I could go on a small trip and leave my best friend with a good vets but with someone else that talks and treats my best friend the same way as I do!! I have been going to this hospital for while and would NEVER change vets. Even the staff greets the animals and treats them like they are their own pet. We love our animal hospital!! The front staff is fantastic - Michelle and all of the girls are more than wonderful - if they are having a rough day, you would never know it!! The technicians are wonderful - Marissa, Christopher to name a couple - the behind the scenes group!! They keep things moving and provide such great care of our pets. And the Drs - Well, if you love your pet and want outstanding care, compassionate and superiorly skilled veterinarians that listen, understand and educate....then this is the practice for you.
