I'm a first time dog owner and they've been very helpful in guiding me through this experience. I like that they've got the PetSites because it's hard to take the time to call sometimes and I can update my Dog's log if we're monitoring an issue with her. There's good communication and they've always been friendly and understanding. No shaming if you're late on getting a check up or shot. Things come up and they're very nice about it. My family just recently had to make the devastating decision to send our 14 year old, beloved 'puppy' on her journey over the Rainbow Bridge. While the decision itself was tough enough, thinking about how traumatizing bringing her to the hospital would be on our nervous girl was excruciating. We knew we could not allow her final moments to be spent that way. Upon discussing our concerns with Dr. Michelle Bombard, she immediately calmed our fears, and told us that they would come to us, no problem. We have always had great experiences and interactions with all the staff members, but we will forever be grateful to the two women that showed up at our door that morning. Dr. Michelle Bombard and Jean were kind, and quiet, and gentle. They got right down on the floor, took the time to check our 'puppy' over, to speak with us, and to finally assure us that there really was no other choice to be made...it was time. To hear from a professional that our decision was (unfortunately) the right one will forever be a little salve on our broken hearts. Malta Animal Hospital allowed our precious little girl to remain in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her humans, and in the loving arms of her best friend. Went for a second opinion. They are so busy and have different staff members attending details that they forgot several issues, including a simple chip insertion that was requested on two different visits. (Too many "cooks in the kitchen will spoil the broth".) Nothing was resolved, but repeating everything the original vet did at 4 times the cost. The experience only left a costly impression. One of the secretaries (not the brunette) is extremely rude and inattentive. My dogs are suffering from various tick-borne diseases and it's been impossible to speak to the vet when one of them is reacting terribly to the medication. Extremely disappointed after dropping nearly two grand here. When they were vaccinating my younger dog, I heard a woman yell at her and tell her "you're FINE, when she was scrambling because the needle had hurt her. The Malta Animal Hospital staff is outstanding! They are dedicated, knowledgeable and professional. I have been bringing my 3 1/2 year mini schnauzer there since she was a puppy. My experiences with Malta Animal Hospital, including the most recent, have been outstanding. I began bringing my cats here after I moved to NY in early 2014. All of the staff are caring and knowledgeable and appointment times are readily available and flexible. I love that the client services staff and technicians recognize me and my cats. Dr. Jake Zaidel in particular managed care for one of our cats through an extended illness, up to and including helping him pass on peacefully in an emergency euthanasia just yesterday. Dr. Jake is a great people person too, and handled my husband and I very well during this trying time. I've used Malta Animal Hospital for quite a few years now. I think they have taken care of 9 animals of mine over the years. The staff and doctors are excellent. They are always available to assist via phone, from their website, or in person. There have been times I've shown up for emergencies and am always impressed with their level of care and compassion. We have been visiting Malta Animal Hospital for quiet some time now, both of our kitties are patients. Our youngest, has just had his neuter today and he did wonderful! My husband and I are very impressed with the Doctors and the Team at Malta Animal Hospital. They have went an extra mile to make sure that Tyson was well taken care of! I have received follow up phone calls from both Dr. Bombard and Dr. Zaidel whenever I had a question. They were both very thorough and comprehensive in their treatment, which we appreciate very much! The team truly cares for the furry patients which was evident the moment we stepped inside the clinic. We have received a very thorough report for Tyson post his surgery, even his post-anesthesia photo was in the report! Can't say enough good things about this place! Dr Kara Sedacca is the best. All the vets here treat your pets with the highest regard and best care imaginable. They saved my cat's life recently. She had what we think was a severe allergic reaction to a med and required a blood transfusion. Dr Sedacca was comforting and let me know every step of the way what was going on with Leesha (cat). She called me more than once after Leesha came home to see how she was doing. If you love your pet, this is the place to take them for the best of care! Read Less
