We love Miller Clark Animal Hospital!!! We took our first pound puppy Toby there in 1985, and have been taking our successive golden retrievers there ever since. The vets and staff are professional, knowledgeable, warm and wonderful with our animals and us. It is not unusual for Dr. Gina to be sitting on the floor reassuring our wacky 4 yr. old Jack when he visits. There is never the feeling that the staff or doctors are too busy to build rapport with our animals or answer any and all of our questions and concerns. First of all... my family has been using Miller and Clark since the 1970s. They only get better with age. All of the Doctors are up to date with the latest care so it doesn't matter who you go to see. (I won't name my faves to keep the peace lol). I have two dogs, 1 hard to handle and 1 a doll. They are both treated with love and respect. I never worry if I need to leave them there for a procedure because I feel that each person, from the vets to the receptionists all have a love for animals. I've never in my 13 years of owning my own furbabies have had a bad experience there. I never feel like I've been talked into something and my concerns are always met with compassion. I want to to start by saying that this practice restored my faith in human kindness! I came to them after a negative experience with a vet I had been with since childhood...over 40 years...I was skeptical and cautious...but I was taken in and listened to with such warmth and kindness that it brought me to tears. The care they took of my dog (my furbaby) was beyond excellent! Dr Gina and Manny were heaven sent! The vibe when you walk in to that office is wonderful and happy... They were all animal lovers and kind...they treated Tucker with love and compassion and me with kindness and respect...they looked at us as real patients and not as dollar signs. Very disapointed, brough my cat because he had a strange symptom and vet could not tell me what he had. Besides, they made me pay a high amount without consulting me about pricing of how much the analysis that they made to my cat would cost, I ended up paying 380 US$ but the vet didn't give me any directions on how to treat and cure my pet. Upon pick up she came to the front desk to explain the results again. She also made some recommendations based on my cats issue. I don't even know where to start with this practice. I wrote a review over a month ago starting out with the vets are great. But I did mention how I've been overcharged there. Received a phone call from them basically stating to pick up my records, obviously they didn't like that I wrote something negative in my review. I was expecting a call from them to remediate the situation, instead it was basically letting me know if I didn't like what they did to get out. At this point I completely lost trust in the practice and asked for my records back. Wrote a very kind email asking for my records back stating it's time for us to part ways. It has been eight days and I still have not received my records. I can't help but think there's a little spite going on.  I feel these websites are in place for people to speak their mind and as I said, I have a right to my opinion. In my opinion they overcharge. Today is my fourth phone call to find out where my records are. Very good vets but the charges are out of control. They charge you literally to walk in the door. Seems they are taking a bit of advantage of the fact that people truly love their animals. Recently brought my pet in for rabies shot and was charged for office visit when he has been there at least three times in the last month for an eye infection. The doctors at Miller Clark Hospital were my German Shepherd Rex's vets for most of his life.  Dr. Gina Antiaris and the Miller Clark staff treated Rex like a king until the last day of his life.  When it came time for us to make the very difficult decision to let Rex go, Dr. Gina made that impossible situation tolerable.  She counseled us, consoled us and treated us like family.  She allowed Rex to die on his favorite bed with his family around him.  Then, as if she had not done enough she brought us a plant, a card and a poem about "Rainbow Bridge".  She went above and beyond, as she always did when Rex was alive.  I can't praise Dr. Gina and the staff of Miller Clark Animal Hospital enough for their caring and sensitive treatment of Rex and the other animals in their care.  They are truly remarkable. Dr. Klock has been great, and takes the time to greet our dog Rosco with a pleasant and playful attitude and also explains everything thoroughly to us. I was completely shocked by the amount that Miller - Clark charges for vet services. Over $500 for a standard office visit. Much more expensive than other vets in the area. During the visit there was no discussion of the cost and I felt that services were forced on us so that they could make the most money possible. Awesome customer service! My dog was injured today while outside playing and got a large wound in her side. I called the vet to see what they recommended in terms of care and they suggested we come right in even though they were booked for the day. They saw her right away and took excellent care of her. I felt so lucky today that we were able to get her such good and fast care on a Saturday. I would highly recommend Miller Clark to anyone who cares about their pets and wants quality care! Read Less

I brought my dog Sophie in due go an ear infection. Dr Sosnow was the attending physician. I was so impressed with her. I usually see Dr. Antiarius who is also top notch. Both doctors have terrific bedside manners with pets and also pet parents. Dr Amerling runs a top notch hospital. His office staff and assistants are terrific. We are so thankful to have switched our pets to this practice; they are the BEST!  Dr. Priscilla Whittington probably saved my cat's life, diagnosing what our former vet ignored and never told us: ongoing serious kidney problems, ear infections, gum disease, to name just a few issues.  Her gentle, caring manner put both my cat and me at ease, as she proceeded to explain the results of blood tests that our former vet never discussed.  Dr. Whittington also gave us a plan to change the cat's diet, to alleviate his suffering.  She saved his life!  I have heard that all the doctors in this practice are wonderful, of which I have no doubt.  The office is spotless, and the assistants are all caring professionals. We've taken our dog and cat to Miller Clark for over two years and like the hours, clean rooms, ease of making appointments, plus the vets, techs and office staff. Dr. Gina treated our dog for an infection when he was a few months old & was competent and caring... The cost was high, like $1,200 range plus medicine we bought there, but we were so frantic that we questioned little.When our cat recently needed his yearly rabies booster, we learned that two vets had left the practice. One stayed only a year, usually not a good sign. The other, Dr. Alex Saura, was wonderful with our cat, and we loved her. But she left MC just weeks ago. Miller Clark staff should have told me this when I made an app't. Instead, our cat was examined and vaccinated by Dr. Klock, who was very nice, gentle, but in a hurry -- and pushed more vaccines. When lab tests were suggested for a healthy cat with no problems, we asked why, received a half-answer, and quickly walked off to pay the ~ $300 bill. I was so disappointed in this practice I had trusted...Our pets are family, and we will pay for quality care. But Miller Clark is increasingly about making money first, w/ good care and communication a distant second. Unless things change by summer, we'll be searching for a new vet. Read Less

This clinic is very expensive and I was not at all thrilled with their service. They did not pick up a few problems that the other vet saw right away just by feeling my kitty. I eventually had to euthanize my cat and when they told me how much it cost I was flabbergasted! I checked with other animal hospitals in the area and Miller-Clark charged $165 more than where I eventually went. M-C gave me some spiel about how they are an animal hospital and everything is sterile and that's why their prices are higher. That's BS. The other place I went to was also an animal hospital and sterile and a lot less for the exact service (plus nicer treatment rooms). I will never return to MC for any services ever again. Read Less

In the last two weeks my daughter Ashley and I had to make some trips back and forth to the vet for our sick cat Tigger. Unfortunately, he has passed away because he was too sick and nothing more could save him. We are forever grateful with Dr. Klock for his care,compassion and kindness towards us and Tigger. My family and I have been going to Miller and Clark Animal Hospital for close to 20 years and cannot say enough good things about this place. We have always felt the doctors genuinely care about their patients and love helping the animals and helping us as owners make the right decision for them. And as pet owners that have animals with special needs, we cannot express our gratitude enough. In the recent years, we've had the pleasure of working with Dr. Gina, Dr. Saura, and Dr. Klock. Our dogs absolutely love Dr. Saura and she always asks how my mother's little old pup is doing. When the little guy was having some issues, even though she was not the one treating him, she took the time to console my mother and encourage her that the little guy was going to be ok. Dr. Klock was treating him at that point and he did such an amazing job on the little guys difficult surgery. The whole staff worked so hard and they were able to get him back up and running and a year later he is still going strong at 14 years old. My most recent experience has been with Dr. Klock in treating my guinea pig. He's been amazing in taking the time to make sure he's doing the right thing for her and is so patient in dealing with her difficult situation and surgery. He takes the time to explain the procedures and explain what is happening to my little girl which is greatly appreciated since I'm the type of person who likes to educate myself about the situation at hand. And again, the entire staff, from the doctors to the vet techs, to the front desk are genuinely concerned and engaged in this little ones recovery. Miller and Clark has treated my dog, my foster dogs and my mom's dog very well over the years.  In particular I love Dr. Saura but all the vets are all great.  My mom's dog was near death last year. We weren't sure what was wrong. She was in bad shape. We think she might have ingested some sort of poison.  Their compassion and diligence saved her. The staff is wonderful. I am writing this review of Dr. Alexandra Saura.  She does not even deserve a single star.  My dad took my dog Poppy to her for the first time in early May because he had a tumor growing under his tail.  Aside from the tumor, my dog ate well and played well.  Dr. Saura prescribed a certain medicine for 2 weeks.  She informed my dad that he should expect Poppy to drink more water during medication.  During those two weeks, my dog's health started to deteriorate.  He did indeed drink more water, but he started to lose his vision and memory.  After the initial 2 weeks, my dad went back to Miller-Clark to ask Dr. Saura to see Poppy.  She, through the secretary, refused to see my dad and dog and instead gave him a prescription refill of the same medicine.  We started Poppy on the second prescription, but we had to stop because we knew something seriously wrong was happening to our dog.  He stopped eating and was losing weight fast.  His eyes also started to bleed and he couldn't walk.  My dad took Poppy to go see Dr. Saura, but he was refused a second time.  He then took Poppy to a different animal hospital and the vet there said that Poppy was experiencing kidney failure and that the medication he received from Dr. Saura was too strong.  The damage done to my dog was irreversible.  Poppy had to be put to sleep in early July because he was in too much pain.  My family and I are truly heartbroken.  In short, Dr. Alexandra Saura killed my dog Poppy.  Shame on her for her malpractice and negligence. If I could give a zero I would.  Went to another vet who actually cared about my pet.  Just because I'm from Mamaroneck, don't assume I'm going to drop thousands of dollars because you say it's "the only way".  This was experience was in 2010.  Needless to say my dog is just fine with about $300 in treatments, vet bills, and meds.  When I called to let you know of your error, you dared to doubt the other vet. M & C are all about $$$$.  Sad to think my family trusted you since 1985... you are a disgrace.  Wouldn't trust them with euthanasia, let alone pet care of a live loved one. Read Less

I recently switched to Miller Clark from another local vet and am extremely pleased. Miller Clark has Saturday and Sunday hours which is very convenient and kind. compassionate vets and techs. They helped me through the process of treating my aging cat and ultimately putting him to sleep. I was touched to see they had a bereavement room special for people going through this. I was able to hold my beloved cat in my arms in a comfortable leather armchair, wrapped in a warm towel, while they sedated him. Great but starting to getting pricey...Been going here years for Dr. Gina who I followed from  another vet office. Dr. Gina on vacation so got another vet who was nice for new Maltese annual. Bill over $350 but included that pricy parasite test but since dog was a rescue worth it and was given free meds for dog. Set up for the 8lb male dog to get neutered, on day of procedure asked estimate of cost. After some delay was given a price estimate of over $850. Needless to say left without the service. Lucky, I had check priced online and found $200-300 norm at private vet. ASPCA does for $125. I really like this vet and travel from Bronx for service but suggest asking for estimate before any over annual cost. Read Less

We started with Miller Clark Animal Hospital in 1972 (with Dr. Pinckney) and have continued to entrust our dogs in their care. Everyone over the years has been very helpful, companionate, and extremely knowledgeable. Our last dog was with us for 17 years and during those last years the doctors were very understanding and patient with us and our dog. We have used Dr. Amerling at Miller-Clark for many years.  He is compassionate and knowledgeable.  Our pets have been treated with kindness by all the technicians.  When we unfortunately had to put our first dog to sleep, they were very patient and we were allowed to be with him to say goodbye.  The office is really well located and their hours are great-- I can bring in my dog early in the morning for treatment before work!  I would highly recommend this practice for anyone who loves their pets and wants high-quality care.
