By far the worst experience with an animal hospital.  I recently moved to this area from Middle Island, NY.  In my quest to find a new vet, I ended up at this place on Plandome Rd. because it was the shortest distance from my new residence in Plandome Manor.  The vet seems good along with his staff, but my God, his prices are nuts!  I've never before felt so ripped off in my life.  He was nearly 3x the prices from Middle Island.  I understand it's Manhasset , but come on, there is NO reason for those prices. And that older lady at the front desk is a dunce.  She does not listen and no matter what you say, she tells the to give the all the shots whether they are needed or not.  One month I was alittle short and asked her to please check out my 3 shepherds because they were sick and acting strange.  I explicitly told her NO shots, maybe 4-5 times!!!  Well, 25 mins later the vet said everything was fine and when I went to the front desk to settle up, I then received a bill for nearly $2,300!!!!  Never again!  These people stink! Dr. Hendrickson is an outstanding veterinarian supported by a talented staff. He cared for our once-feral cat from the time she was spayed to her recent passing from cancer as a sweet, now domesticated almost 20-year-old cat. Along the way he did tooth extractions and two complicated cancer surgeries to improve her quality of life and longevity. We recommend Dr. Hendrickson and the Manhasset Animal Hospital most highly. Okay maybe this place is good for cat grooming like Sabrina said but I wouldn't recommend bringing in sick animals as there are plenty other vets/hospitals around in nassau/queens. Dr. Hendrickson cares more about the money than the patient as I learned the hard way when my dog was drugged up with a list full of names I can't pronounce and I didn't find out exactly what he did to her and how much it was until after it was done. I question if he actually knows what he's doing because those drugs just made the problem worse and didn't even do anything to solve the initial problems. In fact, our pet couldn't even stand/walk after I took her to see him and she just looked even more miserable than before.  The right thing he should've advised me to do was to put down our pet or try to spend more time before she dies but he decided to squeeze in a little bit more money before she goes away. Regret bringing her in but I'm ranting because this only happened a couple weeks ago. Read Less
