If I could leave negative stars, I would. I brought both of my dogs here multiple times. My male dog who was saved from the side of the road had lyme disease and heartworm. I spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on his treatment at Lake Country. I just went back today and they failed to alert me that a certain test needed to be done within six months to make sure his treatment was successful. Instead they waited until almost a year to tell me when I went for something completely different. Now, it is passed the point of his claim through insurance so I will not receive any help from my insurance company unless I pay another deductible and he may have lyme still! The vet I saw today had the nerve to accuse me of "forgetting" to give my dogs preventative treatments, and said that "most likely the test was offered and I declined." If I had not spent so much money, that may make sense, but I didn't opt out of anything when it came to his treatment. On top of this, I opted in today and was short a very small amount on my bill after paying cash for every single treatment ever received. I stated I would come back the next day to pay the rest since I was not aware I would be spending over a hundred extra dollars on a test that THEY FORGOT TO DO. Instead of being understanding to a patient who has spent so much time and money, they were going to sacrifice the wellbeing of my animals by holding on to their medications. Half the time you have to wait a huge amount of time for something that shouldn't, no one can answer a question outright. The vets only care about getting their money and could care less about the animals. When I first came there everyone was welcoming and friendly and now their true colors show. The doctors and their assistants truly love and care for the animals. I never feel rushed when asking questions. They listen to me and don't push structured plans if they don't make sense for the animal. I cannot say enough good about this practice!!! Read Less

We are new to this vet but we love them. Our pug puppy gets so excited when she sees Dr. Ambrosie. They are very flexible and got us in within hours when we had a emergency. You can tell that they really care about the animals and owners that they take care of. I'm so happy to have Hera grow up with such great veterinarians. Read Less

I have been using Lake Country for many years now. I could not be happier. They have provided excellent care to all my pets. The staff are kind and caring. As for the individual who complained about having to wait 15 minutes, I would gladly wait as I know the vets will take the time with my pet, providing a complete exam, necessary testing and answering all questions. Scheduling at times may have to be adjusted due to emergencies. If you don't have an extra 15 minutes to receive quality care, perhaps you should rethink being a pet owner. Don't keep me waiting. When you give me an appointment time and I arrive 5 minutes early, don't keep me waiting 15 minutes beyond my original appointment time. As a business, you are in control of the booking of appointments and the services that are performed during these appointments. I will be transferring my dog's records to a new vet.Read Less

Choosing your first vet is scary, but i am 100% sure I made the right decision! The receptions are amazing and super knowledgable, the vets have answered all of my questions and given me information I didn't even know I needed but has proved so helpful and they are so good about taking last minute appointments! Strongly would suggest all of my friends go here for any animal care!Read Less

Horrible experience. Brought my dog in for a fungus on his nose. Doctor said to wait three weeks and bring him back if it didn't clear up. They instead gave him multiple vaccinations to which he had a bad reaction. Called and the receptionist said that it wasn't from the vaccinations without even looking at him. Called back three weeks later for the antibiotic I brought him in for originally and had to plead to not pay an office visit again for the same issue, just wanted to come in and pick up the meds. Finally agreed, when I told her my dog still had a patch on his skin from the vaccinations she said I shouldn't have waited so long and should have called sooner. I didn't even bother correcting her. Picked up meds and asked if the vet could look at his patch of skin and she said they would charge a full office visit. I asked about a discounted office visit because it's all related to his first visit and she said they have re-appointment rates but he wouldn't get it for his issue. At that point I decided I'm all done with them. I gave them a chance because they are so close to our home, however I sincerely regret doing business with them. I'll pay the office visit again somewhere else where my dog isn't a dollar sign and they actually care about his health.Read Less

Absolutely fabulous practice. Just made our first trip there a week ago with our newly adopted cat and we were very impressed. This practice was recommended by a friend as a compassionate, cost effective alternative to our current vet. After 15 years with another local office we will never go anywhere but Lake Country Vet again. We will be bringing our other cat to see Dr Wayne for his next check up in a few short months.
