Dr. Cardinali and the staff at Mount Sinai Animal Hospital are amazing, intelligent, and thoughtful human beings, which is exactly what you would want out of the people taking care of your family pets. My family has had many pets throughout the years that we've been residents of Mt. Sinai. Dr. Cardinali is extremely caring and will call your home well after his office hours to check on a pet or to give you lab results. We've left pets there overnight for monitoring without any doubts. He's always given us the best expert opinion and regiments for our ailing or injured pets. The most amazing story I can tell about Dr. Cardinali was when my family took in a stray kitten, no more than 3 months old. We found him in a parking lot of a store near our house. He was energetic, loving, playful, and he brought smiles to all of our faces for the short time that he was ours. We began to notice that he was becoming extremely lethargic and he had stopped eating and drinking. Dr. Cardinali fit us in for a an appointment right away. He took blood for labs and put him on an antibiotic, hoping it was just an upper respiratory infection, but we would know more once the lab results came back. Unfortunately, our kitten passed away very suddenly the next day. We brought him to Dr. Cardinali's office and, the compassionate man that he is, he was just as heartbroken over this loss as we were. In order to understand what exactly had happened to our boy, he offered to complete an autopsy free of charge. It turns out that our kitten had an enlarged heart which is never a promising prognosis even when caught early. It was peace of mind to know that there was nothing that ultimately could have been done to save our little one but at the very least, he had a lovely little life with us. We would have never gotten that closure if it were not for Dr. Cardinali.I live in Philadelphia now, but I still only feel comfortable bringing my pets to Dr. Cardinali's office. They've been extremely helpful given the circumstances, like fitting me in on weekends or mailing me prescriptions or letting a family member pick up antibiotics for me. Thank you so much to the amazing people that work at Mt. Sinai Animal Hospital! Read Less
