An excellent practice, best I've ever been to. Almost no wait at all - a real pleasure. Front desk was very friendly, assistants were helpful and knowledgeable, Dr. was first rate, knew exactly what she was doing, and very personable. Equipment seems to be up to the minute. The place is large, spotless, and doesn't smell at all. There's no sense of "assembly line. It's personal. Human follow-through that same day to check on pet, and appointment reminders later. Brought my dog here for a leg injury. Dr. Gittleman is a consummate professional. He spent a long time examining my dog, talking to me about his diagnosis and surgical procedures. He illustrated with an anatomic model of a dog's knee joint to allow me to have a better understanding of this type of injury. He answered all questions and concerns. After a few bad experiences with vets closer to my home in Westchester, a coworker recommended Animal Medical of New City. While I was not thrilled about driving 30 minutes with whining cats to get here, I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the facility and the care with which we were treated by staff. Dr. Gittleman exudes competence and professionalism. He is also one of the few vets that I have met that actually listens rather than lectures. Pricing is reasonable for the area, and they do not try to push unnecessary treatments and procedures on you. We have now been coming here for several years, and we are quite happy to make the trip. I started using Animal Medical of New City, when I got my new puppy this year. I'm an experienced dog owner, so I was skeptical at first. From day one, I felt my baby was in great hands with Dr. Gittelman and his wonderful staff. They are all caring and knowledgable. I was concerned the neutering would be overpriced, but not in the least. The fee was very reasonable. We took our now passed beloved dog to Animal medical of new city hospital for emergency after hours care. Now that we moved further away from our old vet, we decided to use Animal medical of new city hospital as our primary vet. I did not find them expensive at all. I recommend them without qualificationThese guys are great.  I've taken my cats to them for the past 10 years and they are professional, responsible, smart, thorough, clean and I trust them completely with my pet's care.  I also never got the feeling I was ever taken advantage of financially from them.  Ive gotten that feeling at other Vets in the past.  Everyone who works there, that Ive come into contact with, has been very nice.  I really get the impression they are really knowledgeable.
