I just got back from Dr. F's office and sat right down to write this review. He is the most amazing health care provider, pet or otherwise, that I have ever dealt with. I took my little old man, Remus (14 y.o. poodle mix) into Dr. F for a check up and to see about his HORRIBLE teeth, which we have been battling for most of his life. Before looking at my dog, he began by asking questions about his life, diet, and exercise. He talked to me about food choices and vaccine choices, which provided me with some incredibly helpful information that I had been wondering about for a long time. After examining Remus, the doctor determined that he didn't have the facilities to treat Remus's teeth. I think my heart must have visibly dropped to the floor. Most professionals would have thanked us, handed us some referral cards and a bill and sent us on our way. But not DR. F! He spent the next 1/2 hour on the phone with other offices helping me to find the best place to treat Remus. He even spoke to the doctor that will do the work next week, giving him the low down on my dog and vetting his credentials and facilities for me. THEN, he asked the vet if he could do the blood work and initial exam in order to save me and my pup the trip down town to do it pre-op and offers to fax it down as soon as it is in. All of this, as I sit there, my dog in-lap, mouth agape, and yes, crying a bit. I haven't been treated that kindly in a really long time, and it was greatly appreciated. Cathedral Dog and Cat Hospital is a family practice and they clearly take that charge very seriously. For the rest of our New York City lives, my pets and I are officially part the family! Thanks Dr. Fierman! Read Less
