We love both doctors McCarthy, but the younger is especially good. He takes great care to explain what is going on and how the treatment plan will work. He is super patient with us and our pets and seems to care deeply about the well-being of our animals. He has stayed late to meet with us when our dog was ill and we couldn’t get there during regular hours. I have not had any issues with the front desk people so I can’t comment on that, but the veterinarians themselves have repeatedly shown that they are skilled, caring and dedicated. Based on my experiences and those of my friends and relatives over many years, I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Go to Lewiston Animal Hospital if you can. My dogs fought with a raccoon today at around lunch time (12pm). I seen the raccoon attached to my mixed breed dog, 69lbs, and can only assume my golden, 75lbs, was engaged also. My wife and I both called Ford vet clinic, pleading for information and to come in right away and get rabies shots (the golden was due today and the mixed breed next week for their shots). The lady on the phone was very harsh and lacked compassion and understanding of our situation.
I feel bad for this clinic because we do like the doctors that see our animals, but that type of poor treatment during a stressful and potentially emergency situation is just awful.
On the positive, Lewiston Animal Hospital was helpful, called the county health department on our behalf (raccoon was picked up an hour later for rabies testing), such a positive attitude, sense of urgency and understanding to our issues. Use them as a mentor in service Ford Vet.

Honestly the younger male doctor is amazing the ONLY issue is literally everything else. They treat every person who comes in with an actual issue like the ghetto trash they surround themselves with. They base in Niagara Falls but clearly styerotype and discriminate. My perfectly healthy pet went in for a runny nose amd now she can't walk. When I called to make note of this and ask for a payment arrangement they simply hung up on me. Then a women VET TECH not even the Doctor came out to tell me that pets coast alot and that if I can afford her to surrender her. When I told her that like every other middle class American I live paycheck to paycheck she rolled her eyes. Ive been to this "Hospital" 3 times this month alone, seems like they're more looking for a check then to make sure your fur-baby is taken care of.

Very rude and nasty here. I feel they're responsible for further injury to my friends cat leg and refused to at least look at her now that she hasn't been abe to move in days. When we came there to confront the receptiniest for hanging up in our faces and to talk to a manager, things got heated when they tried talking down to us after everything they have done and ordered us to leave and never come back. If you love your animals don't take them to this location. My dog is my princess and I know my dog and my friends cat deserves the best because they are family. This vet is definitely not the best for our family.

I had a horrible experience with terminal care of my cat. He suffered an agonizing death due to their uncaring methods. There were many others who had bad things to say about Ford at the time so I'm surprised there are all the good reviews now.

We have never brought our animals anywhere else. From my childhood pets and on. The McCarthy's are the most amazing doctors you'll meet. We recently lost both of our dogs within about 8 months of each other and Dr. Patrick McCarthy is the most compassionate person I have ever met in a situation like that. They took care of Diesel and Trinity from the time they were puppies up until the time they passed. And the girls in reception and the techs are amazing. I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

I love ford. I work at Petco and constantly send people their way because I trust them and know they will take care of everyone well! They are very straight to the point, they don't give you things you don't need or things that won't help just because they are trying to make money. Some people may think they are short, curt or rude... But I find their bluntness refreshing and the fact that they tell you how to fix whatever is wrong and they don't BS you is just amazing to me. I've been to other vets who have told me oh "this will help, this this this this...." When in reality nothing helped and they couldn't do anything. I go to Ford and Dr. McCarthy tells me, "we can control it (allergies) but not get rid of it, and she will be happy and healthy!" I love them and will CONTINUE to send them people as long as they are open.

They saved my cat's life. Less than 12 hours of bringing her in for sick visit, she was in surgery. They were excellent. Friendly, compassionate, gentle very knowledgeable, and made sure I completely understood what was happening at all times. Switched from a more expensive vet, and that was almost 10 years ago. I LOVE FORD!!!! I will never go anywhere else. They are the best at what they do. They have always been amazing with all 4 of our cats.

Our poor kitty Mr Snow was euthanized earlier this week by Dr McCarthy and staff; his cancer aggressively returned after 7 years (McCarthy's father, Walter had performed a tumor removal in 2008) Everyone was extremely attentive, answered all questions asked and allowed us plenty of time to say our final goodbyes, even after he took his last breathe. They even sent us a sympathy card. Due to the Dr McCarthys expertise we spent 16 glorious years with Mr Snow. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

My "Cujo" lab/shepard mix is a growler and likes to make a scene when in for visits. My experiences with several area vets has not been good. One even when to the extreme of show fear when my dog was barking and backed into the corner. And I do muzzle him alll the time. Dr. McCarthy is very patient and ignores the growling/barking and talks in a very calm voice. Love this place.

He is super patient with us and our pets and seems to care deeply about the well-being of our animals. They saved my cat's life. Less than 12 hours of bringing her in for sick visit, she was in surgery. They were excellent. Friendly, compassionate, gentle very knowledgeable, and made sure I completely understood what was happening at all times. Switched from a more expensive vet, and that was almost 10 years ago. I LOVE FORD!!!! I will never go anywhere else. They are the best at what they do. They have always been amazing with all 4 of our cats.

Our poor kitty Mr Snow was euthanized earlier this week by Dr McCarthy and staff; his cancer aggressively returned after 7 years (McCarthy's father, Walter had performed a tumor removal in 2008) Everyone was extremely attentive, answered all questions asked and allowed us plenty of time to say our final goodbyes, even after he took his last breathe. They even sent us a sympathy card. Due to the Dr McCarthys expertise we spent 16 glorious years with Mr Snow. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

My "Cujo" lab/shepard mix is a growler and likes to make a scene when in for visits. My experiences with several area vets has not been good. One even when to the extreme of show fear when my dog was barking and backed into the corner. And I do muzzle him alll the time. Dr. McCarthy is very patient and ignores the growling/barking and talks in a very calm voice. Love this place.
