Chatham Small Animal is amazing for regular checkups and illnesses, always taking extra time to make sure my pets are well cared for and I have all my questions answered.  I have had to call them and have a pet seen after hours twice, once during a blizzard!  The doctor could not have been kinder and more understanding about how upset we were about our cat, drove from his home (in a blizzard!!) to meet us, and then stayed with our cat.  All of the staff is very caring in the most difficult of situations.  I will never take my pets anywhere else. I called the Chatham’s Small Animal Hospital this morning as my guinea pig was very sick. They found time to fit her in today, for a late afternoon (after work) appointment no less. Unfortunately, my guinea pig didn’t make it through the car ride to the hospital, which I didn’t realize until we took her out and put her on the table. We're upstate weekenders and have a very old pug who we've brought to Chathams a couple of times for various things. We've always been very happy with the service, and are very relieved to have a reliable vet for our dog on weekends.We have a vet who we bring our dog to regularly in the city, and while they're good overall, we really prefer the service at Chathams. At least twice we've called for last minute appointments for some sudden ailment, and they've always found the time to us really quickly, even right away. The staff are very courteous and professional, and the vets are very knowledgeable and explain everything carefully and clearly to us. There's a very warm air of caring for animals at the place; it's really a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere.We're pretty picky about who we bring our 'old lady' to, and we've gone through a lot of vets in the city for various reasons. But we've been going to Chathams for a few years now whenever it's been necessary, and that probably says a lot. Read Less

I have been bringing my babies here ever since we brought them home from the shelter. I love CSAH. The staff are kind to animals and genuinely care about their well being. Jon & I have been bringing our two cats, Marley & Apollo here for a couple of years now. After adopting both cats from CGHS, we wanted to take them to a well-staffed and local veterinarian clinic. The veterinarians, technicians, assistants and staff are always very professional and courteous. They address all of my questions and are always willing to discuss any behavioral problems the cats are having. All of the staff are very knowledgable and are willing to help. I really appreciate the follow-up phone calls they give after an appointment to check in to see how medications, behavior, treatment, etc. are progressing. REALLY nice and helpful vets; staff are excellent and responsive.  Appointments are easy to get when you need them;  what I most appreciate is that before any procedures are done they ask if you want them and/or they give you alternatives.  No billing surprises.  Wait times can be a little long. Poor customer service. Poor diagnostic services. Disrespectful owner. Literally the worst costumer service experience of my life. My pet was not treated properly for her medical condition which cost us hundreds of dollars in diagnostics. After refusing a $38 hospitalization fee for services my dog did not receive it was requested that I not return after over 10 years of bringing my pets to Dr. Bilinski's practice. I just moved to the area, and my little furkiddo started crying out in pain.  Small Animal Hospital was fabulous taking in a new patient on incredibly short notice (they saw her less than 2 hours after I called!) and got her feeling better.  Dr. Dasch and the rest of the staff were kind, patient, and professional.  I left feeling very confident that we have found our new vet. Highly recommend this place, the staff is so caring, sweet and thoughtful. They sent us a beautiful card after our golden passed away even though he wasn't a patient there. The LVT are awesome and caring, the owner is a very good Vet as well as a boss and person. The clinic takes good care of the clients, but I don't recommend a long boarding period for your animals there. Also I would recommend making sure it is a tech that is helping out your pet and not the practice manager. Read Less
