The care that they provided for my dog was amazing! After a bad ear infection I had to put drops in my dog's ears and I couldn't do it. If I had to pick one word to describe this animal hospital it would be COMPASSION!!!! From Chrissy, Carl, and the rest of the very knowledgeable support staff to Dr. Cohen and Dr. Phelps. For the past 50 years of my life I have never been without at least one dog in my life. Sometimes as many as 27 when I was a breeder, shower, rescuer, and foster mom to doberman pinschers. Needless to say I have worked with many veterinarians some good and some less than desirable. Our most recent fur Angel is a lovely bull terrier we rescued 13 months ago. Tessie was in need of urgent care the morning I called the office. After explaining her problems to Chrissy I was told to bring her in right away. Dr. Cohen saw our girl and immediately jumped into action doing blood work, x-rays, and even referring us to a specialist for an ultra sound. While the prognosis for our girl hasn't always been what we wanted to hear she has been on medication for the past 3 weeks. In that time Dr. Cohen has called us no less than 3 times EVERY day even on her days off to see how Tessie is doing. I call that DEDICATION AND A TRUE LOVE FOR ANIMALS!!! Not the almighty dollar. This is an incredible practice and I could not recommend them more. During the end of the life of our dog, Dr Cohen focused on quality of life and treated him with so much love. After using Drs Indrieri and Schmeiser for our rescued dogs and cats for more than 20 years, we were concerned when they retired. But even in retirement, they did the right thing for our animals by turning the practice over to Dr Parendo. He is friendly, caring, and professional and has surrounded himself with quality people. Dr Cohen recently performed successful cancer surgery on one our cats, and Drs Carter and Phelps helped us last week as we had to make the tough decision to euthanize our old beagle, Judd. I have had many animals my entire life. I have 5 cats now. Four that are 14 years old and better. I have two on lifetime medicine that require visits often Therefore, I have been to many vets with them. . Since this practice has been taken over , I can;t say enough about Dr. Parendo and his staff. You can truly tell that he is not all about the money. He is truly there because he cares about the animals and is not so quick to run expense tests.right away. He always returns my phone calls and takes the time to explain every thing . This is an awesome animal hospital. I worked here many years ago when Dr. Schmeiser and Dr. Indrieri owned the business, they were both very knowledgeable and caring vets. They retired and sold the practice to Dr. Keith Parendo, another extremely caring and knowledgeable veterinarian. Dr. Parendo explains things very well and is also a very caring veterinarian. He truly wants the best for the animal in his care. I bring all my dogs to see him and he never rushes ne out, always answers all my questions and concerns. I,ve gone to St Francis before I stopped going because of the rude staff.I had heard very good things about the new owner and wanted to try it to see if the hospital had changed, but no the same rude staff was there.
