General Info
Dr Mike is native to the UK and grew up just south of London in Surrey. He attended St George's school of Veterinary medicine and did his clinics at Edinburgh University Veterinary School.
Dr Mike enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a particular interest in tick borne diseases, endocrinology, soft tissue surgery and dentistry. Not only does he get great joy and satisfaction treating the animals he sees, he also thoroughly enjoys getting to know their owners.
Dr Mike met his wife Willa, an MD at St George's and they have a 2 year old daughter Esme. They also have a black lab cross, named Lulu and two cats Peesh and Zebedee.
In Dr Mikes' free time he likes to take his family traveling. He is thoroughly looking forward to getting to know his new clients and their pets!

Have restored my faith in Vet's. Dr. Mike Devalier diagnosed a hyperthyroid condition in my elderly cat - am used to just being told kidney or liver failure - make him/her comfortable and let them die.
He's on meds now and seems to be doing fine.
When my other middle-aged cat seemed to be in pain, Dr. Hood diagnosed a kidney stone - not kidney failure - kept my baby for a few days and he seems to be doing well.
If you have a beloved feline, would highly recommend. They gave us many options, from the least to most expensive and are even open to alternatives such as herbal therapy.
Highly recommended.

My wife and I went on a X-country auto trip to California with our dog in tow. He has to take a prescription medication on a daily basis. Dr. Mike was good enough to write a new script for us before we left which we figured we would fill in CA. To make a VERY long story short, no pharmacies in CA would fill the script (new law in CA making everyone very cautious). After a few phone calls back to the good folks at Wood Hill and having our dog's records faxed to an animal hospital in CA, we were finally able to purchase the needed prescription item. The Wood Hill crew were OUTSTANDING in their service. They were genuinely worried and concerned for our circumstance and did whatever it took to help us get the medicine we needed for our dog. They are good at what they do and they all put their hearts into it! THANKS to all of you!!

The staff showed a lot of compassion whenever to put our cat down. They didn't overcharge us and sent us a sympathy card too. Highly recommend

Our local vet for our two dogs. Dr. MIke is great as are the attendants who work for him. Always had good service and good, reasonable advice. A country vet in the true tradition.

I have been taking my dogs to Wood Hill since the 1990's. I have brought 3 generations of my Labrador Retrievers there. They have always received excellent care. The staff has been very helpful no matter what the problem. Dr. Tanner and now Dr. Delliere have been superb, recognizing problems with the dogs and offering superb treatment before the problems got more serious. I recently brought my black Lab for a checkup and Dr. Delliere discovered diabetes. He called me on a Saturday morning so that Cub could get the treatment he needed over the weekend. That's dedication to service. Several days ago, a friend of mine needed to put her 15 yr old dog with kidney failure to sleep. Her own vet mis-scheduled the treatment and turned her away because they were closing 1/2 hour earlier. I called Wood Hill and they scheduled her within several hours. The staff was amazing. This was NOT a procedure. It was a human event in which everyone participated. I was amazed at the extreme concern of all both for the dog and for my friend. They gave her as much time as she needed to deal with this event. I really wish human health care was as comprehensive and excellent as this. Rev. John A. Molyn M.D. PhD.

Dr Susan Tanner,and her staff are just wonderful people, She goes out of her way to help her patients and the family also. I brought my 5month old Labrador retriever in with a fractured toe, and a bee sting. The first thing she did was get right down on the floor ,sat with him, gave him some love and comfort. He's on meds now and seems to be doing fine.
When my other middle-aged cat seemed to be in pain, Dr. Hood diagnosed a kidney stone - not kidney failure - kept my baby for a few days and he seems to be doing well.
If you have a beloved feline, would highly recommend. They gave us many options, from the least to most expensive and are even open to alternatives such as herbal therapy.
