I remember one of the techs always decorating the cast it was adorable. They pay great attention to detail and are very serious when it comes to the health of your animal. Everyone their is polite and caring. Their prices are reasonable not on the high end but also not on the low, they are willing to give you estimates before just so you k ow what you will spend, I know that means alot to some people. I recently brought my dog to the Palmyra Animal Hospital to get Dr. Rebecca Nealeys professional advice on a specific lump noticed growing under my dogs front shoulder area. Her first impression was that she was 90% sure it was a non-cancerous lymphoma but that wed only know for sure by doing a Fine-Needle Aspiration so I agreed. Once completed she examined the sample under her microscope and determined that the liquid was clear and that was a good sign. I asked: so the tumor is not cancerous then right? and her reply was Im 90% sure its non-cancerous. So before the test she was 90% sure and after the test she was 90% sure, needless to say, I was confused with this answer. I thought it was standard procedure for the Vet to send the specimen to a pathologist/lab to be 100% sure but she only biopsied enough fluid for the in-house test. She assumed that I wouldnt need to have it sent out because, she said, that is something that is performed as part of the surgery that she made sure she gave me a quote for with no consultation. Because I wasnt comfortable with her guesswork, I requested that she send a sample to the pathologist/lab which required another Fine-Needle Aspiration. When the test came back from the lab the results were inconclusive because the sample was bad. I ended up paying over $200 for this shoddy work but she did say she would only charge me half price to have the test performed again. Why would I want to pay even half price for such careless work? When I asked for a refund so I could get the work performed somewhere else Rebecca Nealey sent all of my animals records to me in the mail with a note saying she could no longer care for them. Just a note: I have taken all of my animals to the Palmyra clinic for over 30 years!Read Less

In 2016 I brought my dog to the PAH for Dr. Rebecca Nealey’s professional advice on a specific lump growing on my dog’s side. Her first impression was that she was 90% sure it was a non-cancerous lymphoma but that we’d only know for sure by doing a Fine-Needle Aspiration. She took the sample, examined it and was uncertain about the results but still said she was 90% sure it was non-cancerous. She assumed that I wouldn’t need to have it sent to a pathologist because this is performed as part of the surgery that she again assumed I would just have performed by her. Dr. Nealey made sure she gave me a quote for the surgery with no consultation at all. I had to request that another sample be sent to the pathologist/lab and it came back inconclusive because the sample was bad. My bill was $200 and after requesting a refund to get the work performed elsewhere, a few days later, I received all of my animal’s records in the mail saying she could no longer care for them… I was a 30 year patron!
