Roosevelt Animal hospital is THE BEST! They have been my vet for 12 years & I would never go anywhere else. Not just Dr. Zangara but all of the staff as well. They handle my pets in a professional manner and always give my dogs the very best in care. I am comfortable leaving my dogs there for a procedure if necessary and we have been through quite a few surgeries over the years with different pets. It has always been a positive outcome. I would not trust anyone else or go anywhere else!

Sold me $50 food that wasn't even the correct food for my pet's issues. So I had to buy another $50 bag of food. It is filled with byproducts and fillers. There are so many more healthier choices in the stores for a lot less money. I was concerned that my pet was always hungry and didn't want him to gain weight. He is now 3x's his weight in 4 months due to the vet telling me to feed him 1 cup of food a day. My new vet said he needs to lose weight for health issues and has him on the right food and amount. I made an appoimtment with Dr.Zangara for one of my cats that had been making strange sounds when she was breathing. The office was very accommodating and saw us that same day to get my girl checked out. The doc took his time being gentle and listened to her heart and lungs. The best part is that they were not pushy about running tests that they did not feel were medically necessary at that point. They invited us back if the sounda were heard again and that we would take it from there. So far, so good! I am releived that my girl is healthy and that the doc didnt break my bank too.
The staff is nice, the office is clean and tidy and they have 2 huge wonderfully friendly giant Schnauzers too!

Best doctors/staff, my family went to them originally because we couldn’t find a good vet for our rabbits. When I got my puppy, i knew they would be his primary. He wound up having lots of issues including stones and they’ve been the most caring, helpful people. They show my dog so much love. Dr.Z and his son are both great. Never greedy and always have worked with my budget. I recommend them to anyone looking for a vet.

Dr Z came with a dog I adopted from a dying owner. I now use him for all my guys for most everything. He is fair, friendly and offers a couple of alternatives if available. I've never been pressured to do or purchase anything needed or otherwise. I use a special order supplement that he gets specifically for me and gives me a significant discount on. A office visit is going rate unless there is a treatment involved. He's OK in my book.

Dr. Zangara is a wonderful vet. I've been taking my animals here for years. And always have had superb service. Yes, he is expensive. But I learned my lesson a few years ago when I stopped going to him (because he was expensive) I ended up spending more money in the long run at Bide-A-Wee clinic and my dog died, than if I would have just gone to Dr. Zangara from the beginning. My dog at the time was only 5 years old. I will never go anywhere else. Dr. Zangara's office is always clean, staff is always friendly, Dr. Zangara always puts the care of your animals first beyond anything else. He looks forward to seeing your pet/s whenever you come in, you never have to feel uncomfortable about calling the office and asking questions, even if you think your question is stupid. This is a wonderful place. And he certainly does NOT like to hurt animals. My dog hates the X-Ray machine and wails as if being murdered, well guess what? Not all dogs like the x-ray machine. Not all dogs like shots. Not all dogs like the vet. Not all animals will connect with the vet their humans have chosen. It's natural. But when you find a good vet, you stick with him and you are faithful to them.

I just had my first visit at Roosevelt Animal Hospital and I can assure you they were willing to work with my on services needed. Don't be swayed by the review below, if you own a dog they are required to be vaccinated every single year. If you haven't budgeted this into your annual funds, you shouldn't own a dog.
Anyway, I just wanted to balance that by review by saying when I brought a recently adopted stray in to get her vaccines and we found out she was heartwarming postive, the Doctor was incredibly understanding and we shifted our focus on healing my pup, holding off on the vaccines until after her treatment is finished.
Maybe the difference is as simple as the Vet realizing I am a responsible dog owner who full intends on vaccinating my pets annually and not just someone trying skirt around proper care and just getting a rabies shot

I think the other review here accidentally got the wrong office, since for as long as I've been coming here there has never been a Dr. Glassman.I have been taking my dogs here for many years. I had stopped going because Dr. Zangaria is expensive. Long story short, my dog had gotten sick, I ended up spending a fortune (more than I would have with Dr. Zangaria if I was going to him from the beginning) just to have my dog die. I was taking my then dog to Bide-A-Wee in the Hamptons, they did not have the up-to-date equipment to diagnose my dog's health problem and by the time they finally were able to diagnose him, he was skin and bones. We put him under and he ended up dying on the table. Meanwhile, we took him to other facilities that Bide-A-Wee recommended.Dr. Zangaria has up-to-date equipment and could have given my then dog another 5-8 years on his life since my dog had died before his 6th birthday.My dog that I have now, I take him to Dr. Zangaria and I wouldn't change my vet for anything. I love the office. I love the people that work there. And Dr. Zangaria really loves and cares about the animals. He is so great with them. He's honest, up-front and gives you the news as it is, and if it happens to be bad news, he tries to be as delicate as he can about telling you. He gives you a list of options of what you can do.My dog now had been diagnosed with Lymes Disease when he was just a puppy. Dr. Zangaria made it seem like a walk in the park, which it was considering we caught it early, gave him some medication and were told what symptoms to look for in him as he got older.My dog is 4 years old, and he's healthy. We go for regular check ups and if I have any concerns I never feel awkward about calling the office and asking questions. They're always willing to help and answer all of your concerns. And if they can't answer, they find someone who can.

Dr. Zangara at Roosevelt Animal Hospital is a great Vet. I have been taking all of my animals, dogs, cats, guinea pigs to him for over 15 years. He is gentle and kind and really cares. His staff is also great! After surgery they even call the next day to see how your pet is doing. My dog especially loves him. He will kneel down and talk to your dog and play with him. I highly recommend Dr. Zangara.

Very disappointed. I've been taking my dogs there for over five years. I lost my job and needed to get my dogs rabies shot renewed as required by law. Dr Glassman refused unless I paid for a check-up and renewed a bunch of other shots that I didn't want or felt I needed. Even when I was already there paying $75 for an office visit to remove a piece of something from my my dog's paw, which she didn't and all I got for that money was a suggestion I soak the paw in salt. That was a week ago and I may need to take her to another vet as she is still in paid. It's a scam to lump a bunch of things to a law require vaccination to get more money from pet owner. It's vet like this one that make owning a dog so expensive. Oh, and I'm still waiting for my records she said would be mailed to me.

He wound up having lots of issues including stones and they’ve been the most caring, helpful people. They show my dog so much love. Dr.Z and his son are both great. Never greedy and always have worked with my budget. I recommend them to anyone looking for a vet.

Dr Z came with a dog I adopted from a dying owner. I now use him for all my guys for most everything. He is fair, friendly and offers a couple of alternatives if available. I've never been pressured to do or purchase anything needed or otherwise. I use a special order supplement that he gets specifically for me and gives me a significant discount on. A office visit is going rate unless there is a treatment involved. He's OK in my book.

Dr. Zangara is a wonderful vet. I've been taking my animals here for years. And always have had superb service. Yes, he is expensive. But I learned my lesson a few years ago when I stopped going to him (because he was expensive) I ended up spending more money in the long run at Bide-A-Wee clinic and my dog died, than if I would have just gone to Dr. Zangara from the beginning. My dog at the time was only 5 years old. I will never go anywhere else. Dr. Zangara's office is always clean, staff is always friendly, Dr. Zangara always puts the care of your animals first beyond anything else. He looks forward to seeing your pet/s whenever you come in, you never have to feel uncomfortable about calling the office and asking questions, even if you think your question is stupid. This is a wonderful place. And he certainly does NOT like to hurt animals. My dog hates the X-Ray machine and wails as if being murdered, well guess what? Not all dogs like the x-ray machine. Not all dogs like shots. Not all dogs like the vet. Not all animals will connect with the vet their humans have chosen. It's natural. But when you find a good vet, you stick with him and you are faithful to them.

I just had my first visit at Roosevelt Animal Hospital and I can assure you they were willing to work with my on services needed. Don't be swayed by the review below, if you own a dog they are required to be vaccinated every single year. If you haven't budgeted this into your annual funds, you shouldn't own a dog.
Anyway, I just wanted to balance that by review by saying when I brought a recently adopted stray in to get her vaccines and we found out she was heartwarming postive, the Doctor was incredibly understanding and we shifted our focus on healing my pup, holding off on the vaccines until after her treatment is finished.
Maybe the difference is as simple as the Vet realizing I am a responsible dog owner who full intends on vaccinating my pets annually and not just someone trying skirt around proper care and just getting a rabies shot

I think the other review here accidentally got the wrong office, since for as long as I've been coming here there has never been a Dr. Glassman.I have been taking my dogs here for many years. I had stopped going because Dr. Zangaria is expensive. Long story short, my dog had gotten sick, I ended up spending a fortune (more than I would have with Dr. Zangaria if I was going to him from the beginning) just to have my dog die. I was taking my then dog to Bide-A-Wee in the Hamptons, they did not have the up-to-date equipment to diagnose my dog's health problem and by the time they finally were able to diagnose him, he was skin and bones. We put him under and he ended up dying on the table. Meanwhile, we took him to other facilities that Bide-A-Wee recommended.Dr. Zangaria has up-to-date equipment and could have given my then dog another 5-8 years on his life since my dog had died before his 6th birthday.My dog that I have now, I take him to Dr. Zangaria and I wouldn't change my vet for anything. I love the office. I love the people that work there. And Dr. Zangaria really loves and cares about the animals. He is so great with them. He's honest, up-front and gives you the news as it is, and if it happens to be bad news, he tries to be as delicate as he can about telling you. He gives you a list of options of what you can do.My dog now had been diagnosed with Lymes Disease when he was just a puppy. Dr. Zangaria made it seem like a walk in the park, which it was considering we caught it early, gave him some medication and were told what symptoms to look for in him as he got older.My dog is 4 years old, and he's healthy. We go for regular check ups and if I have any concerns I never feel awkward about calling the office and asking questions. They're always willing to help and answer all of your concerns. And if they can't answer, they find someone who can.

Dr. Zangara at Roosevelt Animal Hospital is a great Vet. I have been taking all of my animals, dogs, cats, guinea pigs to him for over 15 years. He is gentle and kind and really cares. His staff is also great! After surgery they even call the next day to see how your pet is doing. My dog especially loves him. He will kneel down and talk to your dog and play with him. I highly recommend Dr. Zangara.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. Dr. Zagara likes to hurt animals and is highly unprofessional. He is dismissive, incompetent, and a just plain mean person. Never take your pet here.

Very disappointed. I've been taking my dogs there for over five years. I lost my job and needed to get my dogs rabies shot renewed as required by law. Dr Glassman refused unless I paid for a check-up and renewed a bunch of other shots that I didn't want or felt I needed. Even when I was already there paying $75 for an office visit to remove a piece of something from my my dog's paw, which she didn't and all I got for that money was a suggestion I soak the paw in salt. That was a week ago and I may need to take her to another vet as she is still in paid. It's a scam to lump a bunch of things to a law require vaccination to get more money from pet owner. It's vet like this one that make owning a dog so expensive. Oh, and I'm still waiting for my records she said would be mailed to me.
