THE THEATRICAL RELEASE... Banfield has been great for my dog Dozier. They are friendly, attentive, knowledgable and convenient. It is always easy to get an appointment within a day or so. The staff really love animals and you can tell by how they greet them. They remember specific things, which for me is helpful since Dozier is blind. They always try to get me into a room as soon as they can. The vets that are on staff are great. They always answer all of my questions and are willing to listen to what I have to say when it concerns my baby boy. He is on one of the Wellness Plans, highly recommended for any cat or dog you have. We have already saved what it will cost us annually and we are only four months into it, so everything from this point on is free. THE DIRECTOR'S CUT... We have taken our pets to private vets in the past and they all have been great, but they are just so expensive. If you can't pay up front, or can get Care Credit, they usually don't want to deal with you. Then we found Banfield Pet Hospital's Wellness Plans. This is better than pet insurance and you don't need good credit, it's just a monthly payment via debit or credit card and you are covered for whatever level you pay for. With traditional pet insurance you pay the vet upfront then submit the bill to the company in hopes of being reimbursed by the insurance company sometime. Having it cover exams, bloodwork, vaccinations and much more is great for us. I highly recommend you check it out for your pets, it is well worth the money!!!! I can't say enough great things about Banfield. The vets they have on staff are so friendly and willing to take time to talk to you about your fur kid. I have never felt like I was being rushed out the door so they could get to their next patient or not listened to. In fact today, 4/6/2018, they were without power for most of the morning so they were behind. My appt was at 4:30 pm and I was in the room at 4:30 and the vet came in at 4:35. She was great as I had a lot of questions for them today. The vet techs are fantastic as well. They actually listen to me when I tell the specific things about my dog. For example today, Dozier was in for his vaccinations including bordetella. They started grabbing his head to keep him still that made him try to get away. He does not like being forced onto a position like that. I interjected and told them to just hold his snout and he won't pull away. When they did that he calmed down and up the nose went the vaccine, no issues. Everyone is very gentle and loving. They get right down on the floor with Dozier and pet and love on him like he was their own. It is nice to see that a corporate type of system like this still has people that really care. It doesn't feel like a factory line type of vet at all. We will be signing our other dog Kaya up for their Wellness Plan before long. She has recently been diagnosed with cancer and we have spent almost $2000 at another vet getting her better. It is time we bring her into the Banfield family. I don't use that word lightly, family, I truly mean these people are like family to us and our fur kids. If you don't have a vet, even if you do, check Banfield out. Most definitely check out their Wellness Plans, they have saved us almost $700 so far, that is much more than we will pay into the plan for the year. You walk in get what needs done that your plan covers and walk out without a bill. I only wish human insurance was that good. A shame really, but that is a discussion for another day. I would highly recommend Banfield Pet Hospital in the Henrietta PetSmart to any of my friends or family that has a cat or dog. Banfield is Welcoming, Bright, Friendly and Convenient. All staff members welcome your pet your name making you feel at home. The wait time to see the Vet is never more than 5 minutes. And you are in and out in less than 20 minutes. The Dr. and staff members are all knowledgeable as well. The program Banfield offers pays for itself - Ask about their puppy program! You are able to see the vet whenever about what ever at no additional cost. Also there are Banfield locations virtually everywhere in the US so if you move you don't need to worry about finding a new vet facility. I highly recommend Dr. Light! He is the vet my puppy sees and he is simply the best! Personable, knowledgeable, funny and takes the time to really get to know you and your pet! He makes not coming to the vet not only easy but fun! My whole family and dog look forward to seeing him every visit! Read Less

The vets and staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. My cat's procedure was not a cheap one but the staff informed me about the wellness plan and how it would help cut some costs at the time and in the future. The very large procedure and the wellness plan were about half of what my local vet would have cost. I was even called when the procedure was going to cost more than estimated and I was never left out of the loop during the procedure. There was always an answer to any question I had, in person or on the phone. The follow up call the day after my cat's procedure was very nice, it showed that they really called about the well being of my pet. I never felt uncomfortable with leaving my cat here and will continue to use Banfield for my other pets. Read Less

BEWARE!!! If you move and the location is no longer convenient for you they will charge you the remaining wellness plan amount.  Now I have to either drive an hour or pay $400 to cancel my plan.  Also if you have a healthy pet the annual wellness cost is much cheaper at your local vet and additional services are more expensive here.  It will cost me an extra $150 to get my dogs teeth cleaned here at Banfield as opposed to my local vet which now looks like I have to drive an hour each way to get it done.Full disclosure all the employees have been phenomenal and we love the vet here.  We feel as though he truly cares for our pet so this isn't so much a location review as a company wide review. I have 4 small dogs and 2 cats and they all go to Banfield,I  have 4 well visit plans for 3 of my dogs and 1 cat. We go to Banfield because they except the Care Credit card and we can make payments on the card. I am there A LOT and I think over all it's a good place to take your pet if you have lots of fur babies. I really like the staff and I love the vet,but they have given shots and done services when I didn't want them to . I understand, it gets crazy busy there and no one's perfect but if you are asked to DROP OFF your pet and you tell them you want to Talk about a service/shot,then you pick up your pet and now you have to pay for something you wanted to talk to the vet about...REALLY? ?? I DO NOT LIKE DROPPING OFF MY PET !!!/or/WAITING IN THE STORE till I can take my pets in a in an examination room. My pet is afraid  as it is and I have customers from Petsmart  coming up to my pet and loving  my pet ! I want to wait in a room till we can see the vet ! My  fur babies are my kids and I feel like it's an assembly line,"get them in/get them out!" Also,the communication with the staff at Banfield is poor. Not only have my pets been giver services and shots when I have said I wanted to speek to the vet first,I've  made appointments for 2 pets but when I go for the appointment they only have me down for 1 Pet!  They did fit me in with 2 pets but I mostly saw the vet tech.I feel they need to work on the QUALITY OF CUSTOMER SERVICE and NOT SO MUCH  on pushing services and filling up the daily schedule! We recently started coming to the one in In Henrietta. My puppy is seven months old now and we wanted to find a quality vet to take care of him and our other dog who is going on 5. We really appreciate the staff and the courtesy calls after the visits. Our vet before this would not call after to find out how everything is going. I like the value of the service provided it is exceptional. Before we found Banfield hospital I hated seeing the bill for my 5 year oldWe bought the pet insurance plans for both dogs and I'll tell you I couldn't be more satisfied. Brutis and Wolfgang like going in there. I have saved about $1000.00 with both plans. Before I took them there I didn't realize the extra shots that were included in care of dogs. I appreciate the staff and doctors for taking the time to explain the things that go into the packages. I will continue to go in the future. Read Less

I really enjoy this location in the Pet Smart store in Henrietta, NY. I have brought several pets to this hospital and have always received very helpful and professional care from the staff. I find the prices to be reasonable plus, they offer the option to pay for a yearly plan with monthly payments which makes financial component that much reasonable. Banfield Pet Hospital is great! We've been taking our cat, Xavier, for over two years now. The service and professionalism is always worth it. They are located in the back of the PetSmart on Jefferson road, so traffic isn't always optimal with Buy, Buy Baby and The Christmas Tree Shop flanking it. We pay for the pet insurance plan that allows multiple services like check-ups, dental cleanings, etc to be covered an not paid out of pocket. We have saved thousands on services, just by carrying the policy. Any pet owner should have one, if they regularly take their pet to the vet.Banfield has from what I've found to be the best veterinary services in Henrietta/Rochester. Our cat is 12 yrs old and has kidney issues, so he is on special diet food. They are always in stock.He recently needed to have some dental work done and I was very fearful of the cost/benefit for a cat his age. The staff and doctors took extra time to verify that the anesthesia, pain medication, and antibiotics would have little to no affect on his kidneys. They also did a great job in explaining the whole procedure and where, if any, extra costs may come in with the surgery. The staff are very prompt with follow-up calls, even for general check-ups. As with any specialty services like this, you need to make sure that you are informed to a point that your comfortable and educated in the decisions you make. If you don't ask if there may be extra costs or what specifically will be done, you may be surprised by a price increase. I'm a huge fan of Banfield Pet Hospital and would recommend it to any of my friends. If there was one thing that I'm not a big fan on, is the location, but they still get 5 stars in my book if they continue to be great. Read Less
