Our sweet kitty, Annie, got very very sick out of nowhere last night. Within twenty minutes, our sweet girl went from completely normal to almost dying in a mere twenty minutes. By the time I got her to the vet, she was rushed back and they called "Annie triage STAT". She was so sick, we thought she would die. Everyone there was so compassionate and skilled, and while they were clearly very worried, they moved mountains for her. She had a tumor on her spleen that had ruptured... and she was bleeding internally. Her temperature was super low, her blood pressure was so low they couldn't even get a pressure, and her color was terrible. They transfused her, removed her tumor and her spleen this morning, and have cared for her on the highest order. Miraculously, she not only made it through surgery, but has bounced back so well that the vets and vet techs all sound amazed. Obviously, we had a great outcome against all odds, but that's not why I'm giving this incredible animal hospital five stars; it's the people there that have impressed us. Their diligence, judgment, skill, compassion, and their excellent communication made one of the scariest and saddest nights of my life bearable. It's hard to express our gratitude in words - "thank you" seems insufficient. We would recommend them to anyone with an animal in crisis. The peace of mind knowing that our sweet girl was in great hands helped quell part of our fear and her survival is down to their skill (and she's a spunky little thing and wasn't ready to go yet.) We got to go visit her this evening, which was great, and our sweet little thing purred as we petted her, even in the cone of shame and with three lines still in her. Seeing her meant so much to us, especially considering how she looked the night before. As if by some miracle, we may actually be able to bring her home tomorrow! THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. See More Read Less
