Adirondack Veterinary Service in Rome provides compassionate and professional care for pets. The team recognizes the profound connection between pets and their families and is committed to addressing wellness, chronic, and urgent needs. Adirondack Veterinary Service in Rome becomes well known for the way its employees make clients feel like family. The generous and consistent tone, together with the smooth flow of events that culminate in a follow-up after the visit, enhances the pet families’ sense of security irrespective of their visitation motives. Each visit starts with a discussion on any changes in energy levels, habits, or behaviors that have been noticed at home. The clinical exam goes through all the body systems “from head to tail” assessing things like heart and lung function, joint flexibility, dental status, and skin and coat condition. Staff members verbalize the findings to increase transparency and awareness among pet owners. Adirondack Veterinary Service focuses on offering overall veterinary health solutions through annual wellness examinations along with necessary diagnostics, surgical planning and monitoring of chronic illnesses. Treatments for allergies, gastrointestinal issues, parasite control, and pain management in arthritis or recovery represent regular animal care practices. A layered response mechanism targets every client issue allowing them to act within the bounds of their budget and time frame. Pet owners receive both written instructions and follow-up reminders. The app also stores a summary of the pet’s visit history. The tools make it easy for caregivers to plan activities, track the child’s symptoms and needs, and prepare for upcoming events. Multi-pet families appreciate the clinic’s record-keeping and appointment management systems. Adirondack Veterinary Service ensures that clients in Rome and across New York attain the same veterinary experience. Patients enjoy improved health, and the bond with their healthcare provider grows stronger with each visit. They are committed to preventive care and early detection for timely treatment. Clients value the company’s transparency approach and the educational support they receive. Whether it’s challenging diagnoses or senior care, this team strives to stay involved in your pet’s life at all times. And their stature is constantly growing as more pet owners get to know about the unique approach to pet health they offer.

I have never been to see you before. But 1st thing Tues morning you let my Mom bring me to see you. I was really sick and feeling like I just wanted to close my eyes. When I arrived, you felt my belly, put a needle in my arm. I didn't even mind even though I don't like my paws touched. You talked to my Mom and made her cry. I didn't know what was going on. You put a leash (I know what they are, my Mom takes me outside with one) on me and took me away as my Mom cried really hard. After a few hours, I guess, Dr Lou, gave me meds and I went to sleep. When I woke up, my belly hurt, but I was feeling better. I was in a strange place, missing my Mom and Matthew. All I wanted to do was sleep. I know my Mom and Matthew must be really worried about me, I had never been away from them. As time went by, seemed like forever, someone else called Abby, came to take me for a short walk. I had tubes everywhere. She was so carrying, just like Dr Lou. She gave me a little food. I was so hungry, but had been so sick, wasn't sure if I wanted to eat. I did. I didn't get sick!! Wow, maybe I am going to get better and be able to play again and go for truck rides with Matthew and walks with my Mom. Next day, Abby brought in my blanket and favorite toy. I know my Mom was here to bring this to me so I wouldn't feel alone. Abby was happy to put these in my kennel. It's night time again. I feel better. Maybe tomorrow I will see my family again. Come to find out, I was near death when Dr Lou examined me. I had a deadly infection in my uterus. He knew right away what was wrong with me and told my Mom that surgery was needed immediately or I would close my eyes. Well I am happy to say, I get to go home and see Matthew and my Mom again. I just wish I could tell everyone at Adirondack Veterinary, especially dr Lou and Abby how happy that I am that you saved my life. I didn't have long to live and you made all the right decisions so that I could live again. Thank you for my life. I love you all, Abigail Leigh cameronRead Less

I took my daughter's dog there to be spayed. Years ago I took all out cats and dogs there and spaying was under $100 with a Spring Farm voucher. I should have researched prices because they charged me $355 after an $85 voucher. Then say they won't do the surgery for 3 weeks. The day before she was scheduled to go in she starts to go into heat but when my daughter dropped her off they said it was not a problem. I go to pick up the little mutt and they wanted another $50 because she was in heat. $355 + $50+ $85 = $490 to spay a 30 pound dog and it turns out $50 of that is for "pain meds" - 2 pills that retail for under $3 each.Read Less

As a first-time pet-owner, I gave my cat Hartz flea medication (not knowing any better - will not do that again!) She had a horrible reaction - uncontrollable trembling, could not keep food or water down, etc. I took her to Adirondack Veterinary Services because they were the closest vet to my home. The veterinarian looked at me coldly and said, "We do not do cats." Then, began talking to the receptionists about how horrible Hartz products are, completely ignoring me and my very sick kitty. I had to actually interrupt to ask - "excuse me, I understand that you can not help us, but can you please direct me to someone who can?" The vet gave every appearance of being completely heartless.
