The Animal Hospital of Roslyn is the office of Dr. Victor LaGinestra and was established in 1995 and is a full service small animal practice located in Roslyn Heights, New York which specializes in canine and feline care.
We provide high quality, compassionate veterinary care to cats and dogs. Whether your companion is a puppy or kitten, an adult or senior, our dedicated veterinarians and team members will provide you with a wellness care program custom-tailored to your animal's needs. We also offer state-of-the-art referral services including cardiology, oncology, and surgery.
Our goal is to provide exemplary medical services that meet the needs of our clients and patients in a professional, friendly, warm manner. Our staff members strive to treat our patients as if they were our own pets. We aim to maintain the highest level of care while providing a positive experience for our clients and patients, and are truly committed to open and honest communication.

I have been taking my pets here for years. The place is in a precarious shopping center but that's about the only oddity. The staff is professional and friendly and they treat your pets as if they were one of their own. Generally open at all hours one would need to bring their pet to a vet. Definitely recommend as your go to vet.

I just called and really wanted to go to this vet, unfortunately I was not even given a ball park figure in the cost of dental work. They want u to bring the animal and than tell you. I know there can be a huge difference from extractions in dental cleanings to just regular cleaning but offering a ball park price is fair. I could not get that from this office. If I have to pay for every office visit to locate a vet I will go through a lot of money I was not pleased

I have taken my animals here for 20 years. The staff is excellent and caring and very helpful. Dr. Vic is a very caring and knowledgeable vet who I highly recommend. He does not try to order unnecessary tests or procedures and truly cares about the animals. We also board our animals here and have never had any problems and our pets are well cared for when we pick them up. Excellent place!

My family has taken our animals here ever since we've had animals and everyone is so professional and kind I wouldn't trust any other animal hospital. Dr. LaGinestra is extremely sensitive to your animals needs, warm and kind. The manager her wife is also very professional super warm and kind. We have boarded our animals there in the past and when they go there they're excited to go! Highly recommend this animal hospital with anyone who wants the utmost care for their animals:)

I have been going Dr. Vic for over 20 years and have had great experiences always. He is such a compassionate and knowledgeable vet. I would trust no one else with my animals. He and his staff truly love animals and it is evident in the care they give. I board my animals there as well. I would board nowhere else because I trust them. My animals are my babies. I drive 20 minutes to use see Dr. Vic when I have many vets closer to me. All of the staff are kind and helpful, I wouldnt go anywhere else!

I have been with Dr. Vic for 15+ years. I have had numerous pets that he and his staff have taken care of and I have always been treated great. Simply put, Dr. Vic and Dr. Taddeo are awesome. I trust them and their judgement. I would never go anywhere else. The clerical staff may change and individual isolated issues may occur but as long as you get one of those two doctors examining your pets, they will be will be cared for extremely well. I have no complaints at all and would highly recommend them to anyone.Armando C

I absolutely love Dr. Vic and won't take my dog anywhere else!!! He is amazing. My dog has had ear infections, had bad allergies, was dehydrated once and Dr. Vic has helped her every time and he is very informative. The staff is very friendly. And his assistants hug and kiss my little Pomeranian and it makes me feel better that they are so loving and she is in good hands. I recommend him to everyone who needs a vet for their dog. There are other vets at this location but I only take my little girl to Dr. Vic. Love him. Summer gets a little nervous at the vet but he is very gentle and is not forceful. Highlyyyyy recommend him!

After running various tests on my very sick cat totaling $1000, I was told that several numbers from her blood work were off the charts and that there she "most likely had a blood cancer". The doctor then recommended three options two of which were put my pet to sleep and chemotherapy before they even proved 100% that there might be some sort of cancer present. I asked the doctor whether or not a cat could contract H1N1 since my wife had a bad case of it. She replied that she has never heard of such a thing and it wasn't likely. Five days later my cat was back to normal and a quick search online resulted in finding many articles on national news sites about documented cases of felines contracting H1N1. Once I called in to tell the doctor about the good news and my findings, all I got back from her was constant justification of her original position saying a miracle occurred here. Im still not sure that getting over the flu can be classified as a miracle however one thing Im positive about is the fact that I was ripped off at the Animal hospital of Roslyn.

I just called and really wanted to go to this vet, unfortunately I was not even given a ball park figure in the cost of dental work. They want u to bring the animal and than tell you. I know there can be a huge difference from extractions in dental cleanings to just regular cleaning but offering a ball park price is fair. I could not get that from this office. If I have to pay for every office visit to locate a vet I will go through a lot of money I was not pleased

I have taken my animals here for 20 years. The staff is excellent and caring and very helpful. Dr. Vic is a very caring and knowledgeable vet who I highly recommend. He does not try to order unnecessary tests or procedures and truly cares about the animals. We also board our animals here and have never had any problems and our pets are well cared for when we pick them up. Excellent place!

My family has taken our animals here ever since we've had animals and everyone is so professional and kind I wouldn't trust any other animal hospital. Dr. LaGinestra is extremely sensitive to your animals needs, warm and kind. The manager her wife is also very professional super warm and kind. I trust them and their judgement. I would never go anywhere else. I absolutely love Dr. Vic and won't take my dog anywhere else!!! He is amazing. My dog has had ear infections, had bad allergies, was dehydrated once and Dr. Vic has helped her every time and he is very informative. The staff is very friendly. And his assistants hug and kiss my little Pomeranian and it makes me feel better that they are so loving and she is in good hands. I recommend him to everyone who needs a vet for their dog. After running various tests on my very sick cat totaling $1000, I was told that several numbers from her blood work were off the charts and that there she "most likely had a blood cancer".
