I have had nothing but great experiences with taking my babies here. I have a chihuahua that had to have most of her teeth removed and the anesthesiologist pretty much held her until I came to pick her up that night. I also recently had to have one of my dogs put to sleep after he was found to have cancer and was in so much pain. They exhausted every effort to first rule out cancer and keep him comfortable but in the end no matter what it was his time. They were so caring through the entire ordeal and even afterwards. My regular vet was closed and they told me that Aquaduct will see his patients. My 16 yr old diabetic cat Haley had a UTI and they gave me an antibiotic that looked brown and she hates it. About 4 days later she was no better and now peeing bright blood so I called Shaker Vet since they had seen her a few times in the past and I also brought the medicine they the other vet had put her on. The vet at Shaker had no clue what it was and there was no name on the bottle either. Needless to Haley was put on another antibiotic and things cleared up quickly. So I had to pay 2 vet bills and would not recommend Aquaduct and will no go back. Read Less

No one ever go to this place. My dog died under their control and mine isn't the first. Brought my dog in to get her teeth checked. They gave her a rabies vaccination and shortly after she was acting weird then foamed from the mouth and threw up. She never had an allergic reaction in her life from a rabies shot. So they took her back in then gave her benadryl to "offset" the reaction. That didn't help so Dr. Pike then injected her with a steroid and still nothing. They then put her on oxygen and an iv and injected her again with a steroid. And they had no explanation as to what happened. We then brought her the an emergency clinic which, on the way she had passed. Worst part is, she was was a gift from my godfather who I just lost recently.Read Less

Horrible Customer Service Horrible attitudes i now remember why i never brought my kitty back after her initial visit I had a simple question and i was already almost in tears and the women on the phone has a very poor and rude atittude and hung up on me without even answering the question. When we had brought the cat in for her initial visit they were just as rude as well the vet man handled my cat the whole time she whined and wanted o get away and shes a very calm tame cat so there was no reason for it. Excellent veterinary care!!. I have been taking my senior dog who has alot of health issues to Dr. Pike since I adopted him 2.5 years ago. He and the whole staff take great care of my little boy everytime -- and we are there alot. We've been taking our dog Lucy there since she was a puppy and she is now almost 3. The staff has been nothing but professional and have treated us as family. Their veterinary medicine is the best of the best and their doggy day care program always leaves Lucy in a happy and very tuckered out. All in all it has proven to be a great facility. Read Less

I just recently started going to this hospital. I went here many years ago with another pet, but when we moved and the other pet passed away, we opted to take our pets closer to where we lived. Big mistake. We recently were fortunate to adopt 2 more pets and decided to go back there. Well we made the right decision, not only is the staff great to deal with but so are the Drs, having met only one, we find them very caring and professional, you can tell they are not out to make a quick buck, ex of this is, I have been having trouble with disciplining my new pet and paid someone to come to my house and give me some advice, but it didnt work out, so i mentioned to the staff that i had a appt and they said to bring her in and that Dr Pike would be able to help, so I did and he gave me some advice as to what to do, i admit when i walked out of there, i was a little skeptical, but i had nothing to lose so i figured why not, well to say I saw a improvement within a couple of days is a understatement, but I did, if not sooner. He took the time with her with no second thought, that impressed me, so as long as i have pets and there are caring vets and staff like this, this is where I want my pets to go.Read Less

They gave my cat antibiotics from the beginning to bad they weren't aggressive enough to save her!! If they had started out with a more aggressive route to begin with, maybe she would still be alive. Dr Allen is/was the problem he told me that the cat wouldn't do anything to harm herself & I was stupid enough to believe him. I think if she is not drinking water that means something is wrong internally but they waited for over a week before they saw fit to do anything about it!! And now she is dead!! But you still get your 1,283.00 for a botched up surgery!! Maybe I'll call a lawyer... Read Less

We have been going to Aqueduct for more than 3 years now. While I do think that the services are slightly overpriced, my dogs have always been treated wonderfully by the staff. They actually get excited when we pull up. We are now bringing them to doggy daycare, which they love! Plus, whenever they need updated shots, etc. they let you know in advance and it can be done while they are there for the day. I'm not sure what the other reviewer means by lab techs taking the dog. We always see Dr. Pyke unless it's something quick like a blood draw. And we are always allowed to stay with the dog. Read Less

I really like Dr. Pike ..he seems genuine. I'm not to crazy about the staff upfront..at times I felt they could be a bit antisocial. The single dosage  flea meds are a bit overpriced, if you call other vets you can find flea meds a bit cheaper.  I will be taking. My cat here for a check up soon & my dog should be getting fixed. Things have really changed in 10+ years here ... Used to go and there was Dr Friendly (no joke ... his real name and he was friendly and interested).  Also had Dr Snyder and she was genuinely interested in the animals.  Now, the lab techs come in, take the animal from you, give the shots and your on your way.  Not sure if Dr Snyder was forced out of here or chose to leave but next vet appt our animals need will be with her at the Balltown Road Animal hospital Read Less

I had my dog fixed there & I must say dr Ellis is very sweet. She talked with & treated me like a human. The the 2 woman at the front were not so nice. It was my first time there & I don't feel welcomed at all. Even when I called to ask questions the woman seemed annoyed with me. I would still like to take my pet there I just hope they change. This vet clinic is absolutely terrible.We took our sick cat there not long ago; he'd begun losing weight, and we were only a bit concerned because we'd only just brought a new cat into the house and thought maybe she was stealing a bit of food from his dish, but nothing serious. He'd always been a little on the tubby side, so a little slimmer wasn't a bad thing.But then, he didn't put the weight back on. And he began to eat less and less. When he stopped drinking, we knew something was wrong.It was a Saturday, and for that I agree this place should earn one star: The have minimal weekend hours, not something most vet clinics offer.The vet took one look at him and said he had no clue what was wrong with our cat. He suggested that, as a diabetic, maybe we should stop injecting him and our cat would become hungry again, which made absolutely no sense. The vet never offered an explanation besides "maybe" his sugar wasn't being managed properly, though when they tested him in the office, it was at a normal level.We wound up taking Midnight to Shaker Vet the following Monday and were told within an hour that he had cancer and wouldn't make it through the week.Not only was the vet at Aqueduct completely wrong, but they charged us almost $200 to get the wrong diagnosis. They are a terrible clinic and I tell all my friends with pets to stear clear. Read Less

Great Animal hospital from my experience.  I only went there for a check up for my cat but it seemed like a nice facility.  Plenty of parking, nice reception area, large exam room.  The vet took her time with me and I did not feel rushed at all.  I was surprised that I had to ask her to take the cat's temperature but other than that I was very happy with the experience.
