Amazing facility and professional staff. We had to put our miniature schnauzer down after his long battle with diabetes and heart disease. The staff was extremely accommodating, professional and kind throughout the process. They even followed up with a card sent to our home (even though our dog had never been to the clinic). I have been going to Hernas for about 8 yrs now and I have always had a pleasant experience. The vets are knowledgeable and answer questions. The staff at Hernas Veterinary Clinic are excellent. I have four corgis, some of whom are rather challenging at the vet, and everyone is so patient and kind to my dogs. Previous doctors and techs have been intimidated by my neurotic little fluffballs, but everyone at Hernas has been fabulous. I'd recommend them to anyone! Dr Hernas and Her associates are all so very kind and accommodating. I brought my dog in for several issues and they have always treated me (a nervous-wreck and emotionally attached pet-parent) with kindness. They always call the next day to check in on me and my dog which is a step above some of the other vets I have had. My 9 year old Chihuahua is having some sudden issues and this clinic went out of their way to fit me into their schedule, saw me quickly, and provide treatment for my little guy at a reasonable cost. They next day he was feeling a little better. Still not out of the woods yet and have to bring him back, but I know when I call Monday morning, that I will be in excellent hands. Read Less

I called at around 7am and they had me in the same day a few hours later. They saw me right away and were very knowledgeable and kind to my cat. They took blood work and xrays and very quickly found the problem and helped me understand exactly what was going on. Had a late night emergency with my dog and when I called Hernas first thing the next morning, they got us right in. My dog had two loose teeth from falling off of the bed and I was a wreck. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful when I called. Then, when we got there, not only did Dr. Hernas calm me down about it and make things as simple and painless for my dog, but the cost of having the teeth taken out really quickly and giving my dog a vaccination that he needed was extremely reasonable. Wouldn't let this horrid woman attend a cockroach. My dog was dying, Hernas remained cold and unempathetic, he pulled through but needed to be on an anti-biotic periodically. His cough returned, I called and requested more anti-biotic (the recurring infection was diagnosed by Dr. Wey and blew off his recommendation) being extremely careful to stress several times ANTIBIOTIC not the other cough medicine. I administered and Sam did not improve and by Sunday, he was in death throes. He had always responded to antibiotic and when I checked the pills, my worst fear was realized. Despite saying ANTIBIOTIC several times, they were not. Hernas' answering machine directed callers the emergency clinic. The EC clinic would not give me antibiotic without bringing him in and paying the $95 fee. They refused to contact Hernas until I put up a stink. She refused to call me and through the EC said the only thing she would do would call in amoxicillin to my local pharmacy because without knowing, yes, get this, "what antibiotic" that's all she could prescribe. She failed to do the ethical thing, that is show concern for Sam, call me and ASK what his usual antibiotic was, attempt to rectify her office's mistake. She NEVER apologized.Read Less

Our cat was totally constipated due to being a Minx and had to be kept and taken care of for 4 days with multiple procedures. I was only charged $500 which is about 1/3 of what I expected. They are very kind and really care about the pet rather than making a buck off of you. This is a real Veterinary clinic and would not think of ever going elsewhere again.Read Less
