On Saturday, June 10th, I called Country Vet, because my dog Pepe was not acting himself. I was given an appointment that day, much to my relief, especially since Pepe had never seen Dr. Coughlin. At present, we were going to another vet, who was out of town that day. So, first off, thank you for seeing my dog that day. Well, what can I say. I have NEVER had any of my dogs receive such a THOROUGH examination. Dr. Coughlin was VERY informative, and did not rush at all with reviewing pertinent information with us regarding our dog. He was also very patient with my hubby and I talking over one another. lol What can I say we were riddled with worry about our pet who is more like a family member to us than an animal. We REALLY appreciated the vet's candid, honest evaluation of the situation. My dog, who was a rescue, and not comfortable with men, seemed to calm down after awhile, due to Dr. Coughlin's demeanor, and considerate manner in dealing with him. In fact, he even asked if he could have a treat after his exam. His expertise, coupled with professionalism really impressed us, and he will be Pepe's new vet from now on. I have had a LOT of dogs over the years, and have had numerous vets along the way, and by far, Dr. Coughlin ranks #1 on so many levels. I was also impressed that he drew the blood work up himself. (right in front of us) I don't know if that is the norm; and also showed us the heartworm test results. Also, his assistant, trimmed our dog's nails, in the same room. We have been taking our dogs here for years. Not only are the doctors amazing but the technicians and staff too! 2 years ago I had the unfortunate duty that no pet owner wants to do for their 13 year old dog. While I knew this was what my Nikita needed, it did not make it any less excruciating on my soul. Dr. Jones explained the process and allowed me every ounce of time I needed. I think I laid on the floor for 20 minutes with my dog afterwards and they did not rush me to wrap up my grieving...they just let me be. As for my little guys...my chihuahuas have had numerous dental cleanings and tooth extractions done by Dr. Coughlin and they are better than ever now! Great place with excellent prices too! My family has been a client of The Country Vet since Dr. Falcheck opened. Previous to that, Will had been our vet for 20+ years. We were sad to see him go, but knew he would leave his practice in good hands. Dr. Coughlin and Dr. Jones have lived up to our expectations and more! We are so thankful for wonderful, top notch, honest care for our pets. On multiple occasions, I have called with emergency issues needing immediate attention. Sorry I had been referring everyone here, thinking care was the #1 concern. However after my German Shepherd that was seen 2 weeks earlier and has been a patient there suffered a catastrophic event Sat, could not stand and was having severe labored breathing. I called this office only to be told we close in 20 minutes and cant see her. Are you kidding me? Well my K9 companion had to be put down. But the two doctors who have filled in are equally as great and fantastic, they know exactly what they are doing. I recommend this place to everyone. We love The Country Vet! My dog has been seeing Dr. Coughlin for many years, and we even followed him from a previous vet office... we wouldn't want to take him to anyone else! The entire staff is knowledgeable and compassionate, the office is quaint and clean, and the prices are very affordable. Dr Coughlin and Dr Jones are amazing vets. They have taken great care of our chocolate lab since she was 8 weeks old. Any question or concern we have had they answer respectfully and knowledgeably. They have excellent prices and they sacrifice nothing in terms of care to provide you those reasonable rates. We look forward to taking our dog to the Country Vet for the rest of her life and we will bring our next dog or dogs to Dr Coughlin and Dr Jones as long as they are in our area. I had taken my senior dog to another popular vet in the Rochester area to have a tumor aspirated. They took a look at the cells two different times and continued to say it was nothing to worry about and that we just needed to check it again if it became bothersome. As it grew I became more concerned and decided to get a second opinion. I took my my dog to see Dr. Lacey Jones. She aspirated the tumor (obtaining two samples from two different locations) and told me that it didn't look like a harmless lipoma. After looking at the cells she advised that we get it removed asap and send it out for a biopsy. Her rates were less than half of what I was paying at the other vet and she was very through in examining my dog! She also shared (in detail) exactly what she saw in the sample AND why I should make it a priority for our dog. I felt very confident leaving my dog in her care. I will be changing my veterinarian to the country vet permanently and highly recommend others do the same! Thank you for taking great care of my pup! Read Less

This place used to be great, but sadly Dr Will retired. The new owners are just looking for your money! Sadly I needed a new copy of the spay/nurture they did back 8 years ago. They gladly charged me $5 to reissue the document. $5 isn't going to break me, but it has driven me to go to a different Vet.Read Less

Dr. Falcheck has helped us care for pet rats and our dogs. It is apparent his love for the animals the first time you meet him. He is one of the few vets that went to school for his love of animals and that love has never soured. Your pet will not be a number in his care. Read Less
