Like most Hurricane Sandy victims I had a difficult time. Despite the flooding in my home, no electricity, and devastation. My son's dog gave birth to 6 puppies. Because my son works for the US Government he had to leave the next day for work. Due to the fact that we could not keep the newborn puppies and the mother warm and dry, we needed to find a veterinarian in a hurry. We went to CompleteCare Veterinary Center, where Dr. Sangiorgio assured us that he could take care of the mother and 6 puppies. He said that he had a technician there 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, as well as cameras. He told us it would be $500.00 down and my son could pay the balance when he returns. The very next morning at 11 am the receptionist called and informed us that the puppies were DEAD!!! I asked her "How many?" and she said "Let me check" she came back to the telephone and said "All 6" We immediately went to the clinic ...The receptionist told us that the doctor would be with us shortly that he was doing a procedure. (There was the man that had his face covered !) The doctor started telling us that we have to understand that dogs die. My husband said, "Explain to me how all six died" The man was a babbling fool and could not put two sentences together. He then drew upon his education using terminology he thought we would not understand, however all three of us are educators and understood perfectly that he did not know what he was talking about. My husband asked to speak to the technician that was watching over the dogs and he refused. My husband then asked to see the video of the evening. He also refused. We asked for the return of the $500.00. He jumped up, flailing his arms saying, "So this is about money!" After he composed himself he told us that we should come back in a half an hour. When we returned he had the $500.00 cash and a letter that he wanted us to sign; stating that it was "our fault" that the dogs died and that we promised that we would not sue him. I signed the letter and he returned our money. Before we left my husband said to him...you failed as a man, you failed in your job and you failed in your oath. He looked at the floor. Read Less
