Dr Villadelgado is not only the best vet I think in the world but just the best doctor in general! I’ve never seen anyone care for their patients as this man does. He has love for all the animals that go in there and the staff does as well. He NEVER overcharges, I think he even under charges ! Even though it’s a bit of a far drive ,I’ve been going to him for years and will continue for as long as I can. I will not trust my pets with anyone else. There is always a nice amount of waiting but that’s because he spends his time with every animal, no rushing in and out. I love this place and I truly appreciate this offices hard work. Read Less

Doctor V knows his stuff. He is one of the best vets I have the pleasure of knowing. He talks quick and his assistants generally translate what he said to you but that’s just how it is. So shout out to Lindsey and Dianna who I have personally dealt with when I needed the explaining done. Overall though 5 stars without a doubt. He actually cares about the animals and the people. He runs a tight ship and it is all walk in so you may be waiting. But the wait is well worth it once you are seen. Even if it only takes 10 minutes. Keep up the good work Forest Animal Hospital! This is how you know this place is great. It smells like wet smelly dogs inside, BUT.... the staff and Dr. V truly care about animals as if it were their own. You can also tell he’s not there for the money because he only charges/suggests things your pet needs, and still gives you a break with the price on top of that. Wouldn’t bring my dog anywhere else. I don't know what I will do when Dr V. Retired, I wish this man would live forever. I call him the dog whisperer. He saved my Yorkie on more than one occasion. His prices are beyond reasonable and truly cares for the well being of your animal over money. All of the techs are the same loving hard working guys and girls as he is. There are draw backs from here for some people not myself and hundreds of others but there are those that walk in and can't tolerate the odor of animal. To bad for them, they think it's a dump but that's because they value animal care and not price gauging over modern furniture and a new paint job. I wasn't going to write a review cause I am just so thankful and grateful that my pet is alive (no thanks to Dr. V) But if I could help another family take their loved ones to someone better and save their pets life then I hope this helps.  Ive be taking my dog to Dr. V for about 3 years. Mainly because his pricing Is lower than any vet I've been to, But when you go and visit with Dr. V he's very curt with you and pretty much does every visit exactly the same as the last. My dog had an inguinal hernia and it was BAD. I had taken her back to Dr. V to inquire about getting it corrected. He said no, cause she was too old and whatever other excuse he had. He had explained to me that the odds of an inguinal hernia becoming a problem were 1/100. I went back cause it seemed to have gotten worse. He pushed it in with his hands and sent her on her way!    Fast forward to 7/17/2017 and my dog collapsed in my arms suddenly and she was rushed to the emergency room. Guess what the problem was?! THE INGUINAL HERNIA! She had an x-ray done and her uterus slipped through the hole in the muscle and got strangled and her body and she went into shock cause the organ was dying. BUT IT WAS NO BIG DEAL?! Right?! Thankfully she was stabilized and treated. She needed emergency surgery or she was going to die. You'll save money by going to this vet but is it really worth it? Took my dog Jack to 2 other places first. NSAL told me he needed his toe amputated and it would cost me from $900 to $1200 and they would have to keep him for 2 or 3 days. Dr.V said I don't need to keep him you can take care of him and he charged me $550. He tells you to be quiet not to speak till he's done telling you everything. My kids found this to be so funny because I don't stop. Yes the smell isn't the nicest but I will always deal with it since he is so nice and explained to me that he really didn't even need that toe. So caring he is and his staff. I would like to thank them all for helping my family. I need to go back now because Jack has just been diagnose with diabetes. He will need insulin but will be okay. This vet is the best i ever went to. He gives great prices and he understands not everyone can afford to spend so much. Without me asking he let my cat stay more than 3 days overnight for free to watch over her. Unfortunately she had an incurable disease and passed away but this doctor showed much sympathy and concern. I appreciate what a good man he is. He is not out to get your money. He really does care and he deserves so much for all the hard work he does. We brought all three of our pets here and it was one fee of 67, the vet we usually go to charged 67 each pet, so we saved money in just that sense. The doctor was so caring, and really took his time out to look over each pet. He gave us a free medicine for our cats rash. The whole staff was very honest and open about everything. When I bring my pets anywhere else I'm leaving paying 600 easy, I left there paying 90 for everything. The staff is absolutely wonderful and friendly. I don't know how anyone could give them anything less that 5 stars. I'd definitely recommend Dr. V to everyone I know! Read Less

Dr. V is amazing, caring and very humane. He's not in it just for the buck like everyone else I've seen. His staff is also very friendly; however the office is outdated but that doesn't at all take away from his excellent services. I've taken my 6wks old kitten to him because she has problems walking and he checked her out and told me there's nothing he or anyone can do to fix this issue and it'll be corrected by itself when my cat matures. He refused to charge me ANY fees for seeing my kitten because as he said he can't fix anything in her although he took his time examining her and checking her bones to make sure nothing is fractured or broken, but he did it all on the house even though his office was packed and we did take well over 30min of his time for him to examine her. Dr. Villadelgado took care of our Maggie (Cocker Spaniel) for 16 years and treated her like she was a part of his family. He is a great humanitarian handling the animals that he loves. Yes, you may have to wait to be seen, but the atmosphere is all love. Dr. V is a great Vet. and a laugh out loud, hoot. He IS the best and when you leave, you leave smiling. Maggie works so hard and is so kind and understanding, she absolutely amazes me. I don't know the names of the other staff, but they are all about love. Yes, they charge far less than other Vets, but are all about love. The very fact that you sometimes have to wait, fades away quickly at the care they provide. I have been taking my 3 dogs to this Vet for 6 years. 3 years ago I moved to NJ, but to this day I go into SI because this place is the best for my canine kids. I tried 2 other Vets in Jersey, and ended up back with Dr. V. Besides the Dr. being very knowledgeable, I love that the staff remembers my dogs. if you can get thru to the office the staff rushes you off phone. they do not take notes when they speak to you. doctor rushes thru seeing patients from the over crowded, smelly, waiting room. he DOES NOT LISTEN TO PET OWNERS. he speakes over them. he does not take notes. he charges less but remember, you get what you pay for and nowhere, then coming here, has that been more apparently. you could speak to them at 11am and by 12pm they will not know who you are or what was the issue with your pet. i cannot believe some of the reviews that are positive about this place are actually for this place. these people must be on drugs when they come there, or blind. this is not a good place to take your pet. doctor once dropped my pet right on the floor... i only went back b/c my mother insisted on taking her pet there. I've had as many as 7 rescued pets at one time. Anyone who's got pets knows that Vet bills are the biggest downside to having pets.
