I forgot the name of the receptionist I was speaking to earlier but she was very nice! I asked her about preventatives for my dog and she gave me every option available to me in detail. I've never had a problem with this place. My dog had dietary problems when he was a baby and the vet really helped! She made it easy on my pocket, she was knowledgable and returned my calls. My three dogs have been patients of Shop City for years. When we adopted Rocky almost ten years ago from the CNYSPCA he had his neuter done at Shop City and we were not happy with the vet we were using so we switched since we had a good experience with Rocky. The staff and the vets are very nice and knowledgeable. We do usually have to wait but I think they are busy with emergencies very often. I know if it was one of my dogs and the office was open and it was an emergency I would not hesitate to go straight over there. Read Less

My dog was seen as a walk in new patient yesterday and unfortunately was diagnosed with a sudden onset of a grave illness. Dr. Ruff and the rest of the staff was so caring and compassionate to my dog and to me. The time spent with us will never be forgotten. Took my dog there all of his life. He has an infection what looks like on his groin area they told me to put it on a Benadryl thing I did it butt it did not work. Kind of angry about that there was $100 gone. Butt friendly. Otherwise than my own experience every other experience was good Read Less

They are friendly, caring and informative. They care about how I feel about my dog's experience. The only reason I don't give it a full 5 stars is because sometimes we have to wait a bit, even with an appt. Recently switched to this facility after going to Liverpool Veterinarian or possibly may be called Liverpool Veterinarian Hospital ... ? (Located on Route 57 / Oswego Road - just up the street from Seneca Mall) Myself as well as my parents have been going to this Facility for 13 years and they have treated at least 6 - 8 of the family Dogs over those years. The staff is... Acceptable. But that's about the extent of the way they seemed to treat there clients.... UNLESS OF COURSE - YOUR WEALTHY & NEVER Face a situation of difficult financial Times and when you do and ask for any type of help with financial crisis or anything related- well... They pretty much will let your Pet aka Family member go without before doing anything at all to help you with any sort of payment related options. The Veterinarian Dr. Skogland, definitely is a compassionate Vet that surley loves his profession and not only enjoys what he does but is also very knowledgeable and good at it as well. Recently, I was DELIGHTED TO MAKE THE SWITCH TO VCA - Shop City Animal Hospital & was beyond impressed with the WHOLE staff & vey pleased with Dr. Honeyset (whom will be taking over the care of my new member to my Family- My Boxer Pup. He is EXTREMELY Knowledgeable & took his time to fully examine all my puppies needs and make sure to address ALL the questions I had during the visit - As well as apensing at least 5 minutes when I called few days after with some concerns and questions.
