Last night we had to euthanize our 11 year old 120 lb Labrador. She suddenly couldn't walk and we made a same day appointment with Brighton's urgent care, the closest vet with Saturday evening office hours. They gave us a 6pm appointment. The vet was kind and sweet to our dog and willing to help us figure out what was going on, and we discussed increasing arthritis meds and other options before x-rays, which revealed very significant arthritis, bone spurs, and a chipped bone that was not fixable and was probably responsible for not being able to walk,  as well as masses in her chest. We made the difficult decision to end her suffering, but they were supportive of us either doing it there or waiting until Monday to meet with our regular vet.  We decided to proceed and the vet assistants and doctor were kind and patient with our grieving family. They completed all procedures with us there, hugging our dog, and made a sweet clay paw print for us. Everything including x-rays and after hours and cremation was about $500. I'd recommend this hospital for urgent care. Read Less

I am very unhappy with our latest visit to the animal clinic. We had an emergency visit a month ago and really enjoyed it, so we came back to this clinic when the issue arose again. This time the experience so not so pleasant, the vet was afraid of our dog even though he showed no aggressive traits. She wouldn't pet him or interact with him, which is what he was looking for to feel comfortable. He is a lovable, friendly German Shepard, who can look intimidating but just wants a belly rub and a pet. The entire visit she did not touch our dog once. She didn't explain what we could do to prevent his condition in the future, he is having rashes on his belly. She didn't explain how to prevent these rashes or what was causing them. This vet visit did not put us at ease as pet owners and really discouraged us from going back. I would not recommend unless you see the Dr.Rand, we saw him on our first visit and he was excellent. This vet is ridiculous and so unprofessional. My dog had numerous ear infection and I literally have tried every medication and also had it sent out and cultured. Only to found out that when they shipped it out well my dog was on a Antibiotic and it came back inconclusive. Which they new it would because they put her on the antibiotic and shipped it out. Don't worry tho they also wAnted me to pay again to ship it out. My dog hurt her leg and couldn't walk so I brought her in to be checked. They X-ray her and Proceeded to tell me that It was arthritis and couldn't be her ALC because no tissue was show in the X-ray. They told me to buy joint/arthritis pills which I did. They said that there was something found in her other leg and I need to ship it out to have it looked at which I did because my dog is my baby. They didn't even call me with the results, I had to call them. After another two weeks of my dog not walking on her leg I decided to go to Millersport animal clinic to have her checked out. Within the first 10 minutes Ronald Malo told me my dog had stag 3 Heart murmur, she tore her ACL, which she needs surgery for, she also had a spot on her liver which could be Cancerous. I was so upset. I literally have spent close to $10,000 just on check ups and 8 years at Brighton-Eggert Clinic for them not to care about my animals and do there jobs. I called them and complained and the only thing I wanted back was the $420 I spent two weeks ago when they Missed diagnosed my dog with arthritis and had me buy joint pills for her. I had to go to another vet and have another X-ray and Ultrasound and blood work done which cost me the same amount for what they didn't do. They told me NO and they did everything the right way... I will make sure that my family and friends never go here. I will make sure everyone knows that this vet take your money and doesn't take care of your animals. This vet is very unprofessional and the only one stuffing is my poor dog.PLEASE DO NOT BRInG YOUR ANimALs HERE OR WASTE YOUR MONEY. I Recommend Millersport Aniaml Clinic. Family owed and they actually care about there animals.... Read Less

We really like it here. It's the only place that has found a way of keeping our Springer Spaniel's ear Infections under control! Up to this point this has been a lifelong battle. I just wish that the solution had been implemented before he lost his hearing to the infection. Nevertheless he is a very happy boy and we spoil him rotten! Pricing is average, the space is plentiful, they have separate entrances for dogs and cats and separate seating areas they also have a daycare and a doggy spa/grooming salon. For human types they have a Keurig coffee machine for while you wait. It's a fairly big animal clinic with typically 4-5 front desk staff, so they can serve many people in a short timeframe. Not always the best at calling back when they say they will. But they are far from being the worst in this regard. Read Less

I just took my two dogs for their first appointment at this vet. I was really impressed with everything. The building is beautiful and looks to be well maintained. The waiting area was nice and they didn't keep us there for long.Everyone I met was very friendly and the appointment room was very nice as spacious. The Vet and the assistant were great with my dogs and I felt confident in her assessment of my dogs. They both need to have a dental cleaning and some teeth removed and it's not a cheap procedure anywhere. However, they offer a dental care package that spreads out the payments and save me money even on routine visits. I was so happy to hear this as my previous vet did not offer anything like this to me.We're definitely switching to here given everything I've stated, plus they are much close to us. Read Less

We bring our puppy here for his veterinary care. My boyfriend usually brings him to the visits and we have always been satisfied with how they care for our pup. I dropped him off for his neuter appointment, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer to send you a photo of your pet after they get out of the surgery, which I thought was really sweet. They sent a photo of our pup Cooper and a stuffed monkey and said how brave he was! Some people might find it corny, but I like those small touches. (Pets are our family!) We will continue to bring Cooper here as we feel comfortable that we will receive quality services. Read Less

My pup Bridget has had a terrible time with her eyes in the last year. So terrible that she no longer has either. Thankfully, she is a perfectly adjusted sweet little dog who could care less about having eyes, thanks to Dr. O'Toole's surgical skills. When B needed her first eye out, it was an emergency and we took her to the Genesee Street Emergency Vet. That was where we met Dr. O'Toole who did any excellent job on removing B's eye. So excellent that we tracked her down at Brighton-Eggert when B's second eye needed to be removed. She did a great job on that eye as well! We've had to bring her in on a couple of other occasions and followed up with Dr. Miska and Dr. Mahoney. I can't say enough about how sweet, comforting, and SMART they are. I've never felt so cared for at a vet's office before. They make you feel as though they are invested in the life of your pet, and I really love that. We've decided to switch to this practice for all of our pets. Even though it's not close to home, you sometimes have to seek the best care for your furbabies, not the most convenient. Though I hope we don't need to visit too often, I'm comforted knowing that when we do, we'll receive excellent care. Read Less

My review is for the vet office only. The daycare/resort is awful but I wont judge the vet based on that terrible experience. We take our golden retriever Colby to the vet and have been seeing Dr Alyce Schaefer. She's been wonderful. We've been taking Colby since she was a puppy and she's had her spay surgery and all her first year shots. The first year with a puppy is a lot of vet visits. They called to check on Colby after her spay surgery and always called me back with my concerns. They treated her case of kennel cough over the phone for us. They've just been great. I've been told their prices are a little high but I dont think we overpay for their services and they have a yearly budget plan as well that really helped us our first year. For anyone who cares about the daycare- I think the staff are poorly trained and can not handle dogs who can be a little high energy. The guy there also gives off a terrible vibe. I'll hold back on what I'd really like to say about him. But we've since been going to camp bow wow with no issues at all for over a year. Read Less

This is always my default place to take my pups when I'm in a bind. It's so comforting knowing it's connected to their vet clinic! My pups have done daycare as well as boarding and they are always so excited to get there. They even get an extra treat every night at 6! Staff is always willing to take time to speak with me if I call to check on them. The rooms are so cute and each pup has a little welcome mat outside their room. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to board or socialize their fur baby!As for the vet staff, they are so helpful and go the extra mile for us. My previous pup had kidney disease and Dr. Tompkins was so amazing. The staff showed us how to administer the fluids at home and everything. They also have paw plans that really cut costs. Read Less

I was told that my dog had an obstruction and that he would die if he did not have a  $1,700 surgery immediately.  Of course I authorized the surgery.  After the surgery I was informed that there was not obstruction.  After talking to several people about this incident I found out that another client was told the same thing about their dog.  Fortunately, they took the x-ray from Brighton -Eggert to another vet and  got a second opinion, and were told to feed their dog hamburger and rice for a few days.  A much cheaper option! My husband & I were new to Brighton-Eggert when we brought in our sweet 13 year old girl we had recently adopted and we immediately knew we made the right choice. Everyone there is so friendly and caring, we felt welcome from the moment we walked through the doors. When we first brought our Vega in, she was not in good shape at all. Dr Sinclair was caring and honest while she spoke with us and although Vega's situation was not good, Dr Sinclair gave us options when we thought there was only one. Fast forward to 4-6 weeks after our first visit, Vega had gained almost a pound, her coat was shiny and soft, she was grooming herself and playing - she was absolutely thriving! We were so excited to bring her in for her checkup and we love that Dr. Sinclair is genuinely happy to see Vega's progress! Thank you Dr Sinclair & Brighton-Eggert Animal Clinic!! Read Less

I have a wonderful little 13-year-old poodle mix who gets extremely anxious when going to the veterinarian, to the extent that she has had seizures when walking in the door.  It started out happening at her groomer.  When this first happened, Dr. Davies took care of her, calmed her down enough to get through the appointment, and gave us a prescription to sedate her for the next time.  We always request Dr. Davies for her thoroughness and kind, calming influence on our dog.  The rest of the staff is also really friendly and understanding, even to the point of cashing us out in the examining room so  our dog isn't further stressed.  I don't think we could possibly find a better experience for what could be a horribly stressful time. We've lived in 5 different cities in 3 different states over the last 6 years so have used I-can't-count-how-many vets for our three dogs. Almost all have been very good, but this place is a 20 out of 10 star place. The vets we've used, Dr. Miska and Dr. Schaefer, are so sweet and loving toward the dogs. They take as much time as we have needed for questions. Not once have I felt rushed.  Feel very confident in their knowledge and level of expertise. One of our dogs died last year. We received multiple condolences from staff and the vets at the time Daisy died and several months later. We have a new puppy now and feel so good about the care he's being given since his first visit. The techs are amazing too. They laugh/play with and carefully support our dogs when being treated by the vet. Our old, creaky lab goes in every few weeks for laser treatments. It's like a spa hour for him and makes me happy to see his arthritis relieved. The techs take their time with him and make him feel right at home. The people manning the front desk are friendly and efficient. I've never had to wait on the phone or when arriving in person. Even when things are hectic there with the animals, they remain calm and helpful. I just recently tried out the grooming facility with the new pup. Dylan came back looking GORGEOUS and smelling oh-so-good. He was relaxed and happy. Both the receptionist and groomer were very reassuring to me as Dylan turns out to be a barking maniac when seeing other dogs in confined places. Based on what the groomer said, he calmed down and was well behaved while being groomed. I'm sure that her presence had much to do with that. Finally, the facility is the cleanest, most state of the art I've ever seen. There is plenty of space for the animals (& people) in the waiting and treatment rooms. There also is no shortage of treats and cheese for the pets. Love, love, love this place and hope to never move and have to find another vet again. Read Less

I am not usually compelled to write online reviews for businesses but I had such a good experience here, I truly feel like this place deserves it. I just got my dog a month and a half ago, and needed to make a vet appointment. Because of an ever-changing work schedule it is difficult to get an appointment. I called and asked for a SAME DAY appointment and they were willing to accommodate. They offered an after hours appointment (6:20pm). I was running behind due to traffic and called to let them know, they were still okay with me coming. After accidentally driving the wrong place, I ended up being 30 minutes late for the appointment. They were still kind and nice when I came in, and did not seem angry at all. I felt so bad! When I got there, the first thing I noticed was how CLEAN it was in there! It didn't smell like dog/animal AT ALL! It was spotless! The exam room was spotless as well, the assistant Elyse was very thorough. She spent a lot of time answering all of the questions that new puppy owners have. She was great with the pup and helped us know what to expect and kept us informed of the Doctors timeline. She was great! Dr. Rams, I just can't say enough good things about him! He was SO thorough. He took so much of his time to educate us and we really appreciated all of the knowledge he shared with us. We felt he gave us a very objective opinion and was SO good with the puppy. Even though we were the last appointment of the night we did not feel rushed at all, in fact, he and the entire staff stayed AN HOUR AFTER closing time. Sue at the check out desk was SO kind and helpful. I honestly couldn't be any happier with the experience there. After a lot of price comparisons too, they're right in line with what other local vets are charging for services. I would absolutely recommend this facility and don't think I'll ever go to a different place. The one and only thing that bothered me, was after leaving and doing more research I found a $25 coupon on the vet's website. So, it did kind of disappoint me that they did not apply that to our visit considering it was the first time we have ever been there. Read Less

I brought my 6 week old pitbull terrier in due to loose foul smelling diarrhea, He was immediately seen and diagnosed with pravo. A common but ( deadly disease if not treated) found commonly in his breed. The staff was so kind and reassuring to me that my pup would be just fine. Needless to say (Porter ) thats my pup's name stayed two nights for treatment and observations. Staff called and sent me pictures to update me on Porter's progress and conditions. I couldn't have brought him to a better place. The Doctors and staff are so efficient. This is why I chose Brighton Eggert Animal Clinic to be my pup's primary vet. Thank you so much for the tender loving care you gave to Porter. He's now a healthy 7 week old happy pup. Read Less

They made sure I wanted all of my cat's shots updated and did it all right in front of me. I was very happy they didn't try to sneak anything in, like my last vet. I left my last vet because they put flea treatment on my cat without asking and then charged a huge fee. I really like the office's decorations, it is nice but not over the top and stuffy. Separating dogs and cats is also very nice. I'm very happy with my experience and look forward to bringing my cats to Dr. Kendra Robertson!€ Read Less

Today I found my dog dying when I came home on my lunch break he had been dealing with congestive heart failure since last spring. We did everything we could to prolong his life Without letting him suffer. The staff and vet who helped us were more than kind, we were directed to a room with a couch that was very comforting. The vet explained everything to us and we were given all the time we needed with our beloved Louie before and after his passing. Thank you thank you thank you We were given his paw print in plaster as a keep sake no charge. Knowing this day would come sooner than later I was dreading the process and how things might go be assured that Brighton Eggert animal clinic is a wonderful place to take your pet and when the time comes you and your pet will be treated with respect and kindness I can't say enough about the reassurance we received and most of all my Louie was not scared and drifted off peacefully in my arms.Read Less

I was here earlier today to get a rabies vaccination for my big boy, Noah. The appointment lasted only ten minutes. Quick and efficient. The staff was so friendly and kind to my pet (he is a pit bull, so many people assume he's vicious and treat him differently); he didn't want to leave the office that he cried when I was checking out because he couldn't see the new "friends" he had just met.I also picked up a spare pack of dog tooth brush wipes (they look like face cleansing pads). This is the easiest way to clean a dogs teeth and I was pleased to find that they have these on hand at all times. It's a lot easier to use these than a doggy tooth brush. A pack of 100 wipes is only $20 (a deal in my opinion). The entire visit (rabies vaccination, vet visit, and tooth cleaning wipes) came to only $102. I was expecting a lot more! All in all the service you receive and the price you pay make this a top pick for discerning pet parents in the area. Everyone at the Brighton-Eggert Animal Clinic is the very best! Professional, friendly, express concern for your dogs needs and do their very best to provide exceptional care. Rusty (dog) loves going to see the technicians and Dr. Davies. Dr. Davies provides the absolute best care for Rusty. She is thorough, caring and takes her time to ensure everything is checked out completely. It's never easy moving from one vet to another - we had lived in Chicago with the best veterinary clinic there... Brighton-Eggert ranks right up there with the very best. I highly recommend the clinic to everyone I know that has a dog.       The pet resort facility is beyond outstanding! every person provides exceptional care for the dogs. They make sure the dog when in play is comfortable with the group of dogs they are with. They are attentive, professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the dogs and has (from my view) a wonderful relationship with all the dogs. Day care is a blessing! especially when the weather is good and you don't have room for your dog to run and play - bringing them here is the best versus sitting home. We've visited a number of other boarding/day care facilities and not one even comes close to the level of care, and the quality of service and (most important) the cleanliness of the facility. When Rusty stays for a few hours, a day or a few days I know he is being cared for by the best people and am confident that if Rusty needed care, they would take care of it right away. As you can tell, there aren't enough words to describe the pet resort! Rusty and I love the pet resort and everything about it! including that it is right next to the animal clinic that has emergency services if needed. The absolute best!" Read Less

This review is based on my most recent experience with this clinic. If I could give a 0/5 I would. I really did want to love this place. The facilities are nice, and everything appears optimal. Unfortunately, experience, personable staff, and knowledge are on the lower end of this location's spectrum. Despite records, recommendations via other boarding facilities, and others vouching for my animal, they concluded my 11 year old male cat was too "aggressive" to board. Now, whilst getting a shot, which he hates doing (like many animals), he was loud, but mainly was scared of the vets. Other than on a table for shots, he is a very lovable little (that one is subjective, as he's a big ball of fur) ball of fur. He's been boarded at least 10 times at another location with absolutely zero problems. He's never showed aggression, and actually was the boarding clinic's favorite animal to have. Their kids would bring him outside to play and they loved him. So, simply based on one doctor (who quite frankly, for some reason was particularly rude to me off the bat - for reasons unbeknownst to me - ) saying my cat was an aggressive cat, they cannot board him. I would love to bring him to the other location that was once his usual, but unfortunately it is 6.5 hours away. The worst part, you may ask? I scheduled this appointment nearly a month ago, and they just let me know all of this now. I leave for vacation in a week, for which I will be gone for 10 days. So, not only are they disrespectful, they have no grasp of the idea of punctual business practices. I will probably not be able to even take my vacation now, because simply, there isn't enough time for me to scramble to get a reservation at another place. This is my first vacation in two years. I really just wanted to love this place, but the amount of miscommunication and disrespect has turned it into quite a horrible experience. Also, to make matters worse, my father has talked to the place 3 times in a week (while I was at work, thank goodness for him). Not 3 days ago he was talking about this same exact situation and they said "We trust you know your animal, and if he's been boarded like that before, then it won't be a problem". I just received the "We can't board him because he's aggressive" call today. Back and forth with this place. I cannot comprehend how they have received such high marks online. What a terrible, terrible experience we have had. I only pray that others are treated with more professionalism than I have been. This isn't including the rudeness that was conveyed over the phone to me, as if I didn't know anything about my animal. I won't even get into that. Though, apparently, I am not the first to have a similar experience by reading the comments. It's really all just a shame. Either way, I wish future customers a better experience than I had.Read Less

Our dog was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of bone cancer. Dr Tompkins(Nate), gave us pain meds to help the dog and let us come to grips with what had to be done. We had him put down today before he started to suffer. Dr Tompkins did the end of life injection. We were treated so nicely and they really care about you and your animal. They gave us a free mold of his paw print with his name on it for free. Had a special, private room for the procedure. All the staff were so comforting, compassionate and made the experience as nice as something like that can be. They didn't rush us at all. Gave us all the time we needed and wanted with our dog in the room. It was really quick and painless for Java. He fell right to sleep in my wife's lap in about 5 seconds. Dr Tompkins was there with us and petting the dog and was just really nice. I really feel like all the vets there love animals and understand and know how people feel about their animals. I highly recommend this vet and especially, Dr Tompkins. He was really great through the whole process. Even took time to explain to my daughter when Java was first diagnosed what was going on and how Java was feeling. A horrible thing to go through with your animal. But, they will treat your animal and you like family. Best vet clinic and veterinarians, ever. Hands down. Thank you Dr Tompkins. As hard as it was...you were great. Update on 5/11/16.....We just received a condolence card in the mail from the vet clinic. So nice. Dr Tompkins even took the time to write in it. Along with the other vet who had seen Java before. No card with a general stamp of the clinics name from them. They really do go above and beyond what I ever have seen or expect from a vet. A big, busy vet clinic too. Thank you, everyone. The clinic (Dr. Mahoney and Staff) always take the time to answer any medical questions that I might have and provide real time answers and support in dealing with any medical problems. Along with the report cards, they provide good advice as to how to fix certain behaviors and work with you as a team and provide support along the way. I was visiting my Mom for the holidays when my 15yr old got really sick. I took her to one emergency clinic that was terrible and thankfully trusted my instincts at 4 am and left without doing blood work etc. As it was the holidays, I didn't have many options so we ended up at the Brighton Eggert emergency section. I really cannot say enough about how amazing everyone was there, but especially Dr. LoVullo (hope I spelled it right!). She took so much time with me and I didn't feel like any of the tests were not totally warranted. Sadly I don't live in Buffalo anymore and since coming home, I haven't been able to find a vet anywhere near her quality. I've actually called her a couple of times from PA and she spent another half hour on the phone with me offering advice on care for my very elderly girl. My dog is actually sick right now and I'm contemplating getting in my car and driving seven hours to see her, that's how much I trust her! You really don't know exactly how good a vet or clinic is until you've been to a few lousy ones as has been my recent experience. Choosing a vet as brand new first-time puppy owners was daunting, but luckily we were recommended to Brighton-Eggert from friends, and decided to give them a try. I am so glad we did. I brought our 2-month old puppy in and the doctor was wonderful. She set my mind at ease with all my questions and concerns, talked me through all the shots he'd need, and was very real with me about which products she trusted and which she didn't. She helped me choose affordable options, and was so good with the puppy! He loved her, even while getting his first set of shots! Check-out staff was very helpful, and overall he just had a great time meeting new people and other dogs. I'm also very happy with ou PAW plan; an affordable way to space out the cost of having a new puppy, including neuter, multiple shots, fecal tests, nail trimming etc. My main reason for giving five stars is the ability to choose the same doctor for each visit. That consistency is so great especially in such a big facility, and for that I'd 100% recommend Brighton-Eggert. Read Less

First of all the person at the front desk was incredibly rude. Being rude with a smile on your face does not count as being nice either- it's just more off putting. When I approached the desk I walked to the window she was standing at (mind you, where she was choosing to stand despite seeing I had a dog and HER knowing the policy). After I told my dog "look (dogsname) they have kitties", My dog just stared at the cat in the cage and didn't move or make a sound to indicate trouble. She actually loves kitties but the woman at the desk was rude anyways. The staff member said that we should be on the other side in a very rude manner. She was actually a straight up b and I only wish I would have told her so. I indicated that I had never been there before and didn't know and she was STILL rude. Just WOW. If my dog didn't have a semi important concern I would have left right there. I noticed as I was leaving (and still perplexed by her strange reaction), that the only indication for clients to know this aforementioned policy is a white- on-clear sign on the door. Not exactly eye catching when you are focusing on getting your dog in the door. So that started things off on a bad foot because I hate rude front desk people who choose to work in a customer service field and I loose respect for professionals that hire them.Second, the vet did not investigate my concern well enough. The vet stated it is a hot spot though one could clearly see it was an infected cut that had semi healed before I found it on her body. After shaving she then said that she looked at it better, and it might have been a cut but that she was still unsure what really happened. We did not get enough antibiotics to last and she's still draining but at this point I don't think help from BE is an option. The wound area was not cleaned when she was taken in back and they did not even shave the whole area well enough. Normally offices shave off too much but this time I had to not only clean the wound at home (directly after leaving the office) but also get out a scissors to cut more off. Also FYI my dog is a model patient so if someone tries to defend this poor service by saying she is difficult to manage, that's simply not the narrative for this dog. Also they didn't even take her temperature, I mean REALLY?! Even the friend I brought with me noted how they didn't take that great care of her or inspect the issue very well.**Before this visit I brought my other dog in for something on her tail. They told us she would need surgery and it was around $3k or she would probably loose her tail. I love my dogs, they are majestic and any price is nothing when it comes to their well being. I asked my sister who used to work as a vet tech. She said the antibiotics might work just from a photo I sent her via text. I was scared to wait and risk it. But something tells me BE banks on this (pun intended). Anyways my dog's tail was fine I just popped the pus out of it like a pimple **I used to love BE and bring in a big box of coffee and doughnuts whenever I came in. I felt like the staff would help me and respect my choices. This time I felt like they were rushing me to the check-out to swipe my card. I'm 99.9% sure that I will be finding a new vet and 100% sure that I will be telling all my friends and family members who go there about my experience. Read Less

They are experts of pressing me to take unnecessary blood test for my cat. It cost me $200 and I was just a student at that time and they knew it. It was the first night I adopted my cats from SPCA. My cat showed some symptoms of URI(which people from SPCA told me later that it's normal and easy to treat). The vet told me that it might be URI or another disease that is fatal but she had to have a blood test to find out. I was freaked out when I heard fatal so I didn't think of that SPCA wouldn't let me adopt the cat if they tested out something in the cat. So I told them that I'd like to wait for a night and bring it to spca the next day cuz spca will cover the cost. She said sure but she didn't want to wait for so long. Anything could happen during the night. She seemed really concerned about my cat. But I guess she was just concerned about the money. So I was convinced and paid for my lesson. Recently I got my first puppy from a rescue who had all of her shots done by the rescue. I brought my puppy into Brighton Eggert for a baseline appointment and ended up spending almost $200 on shots that she already had done, along with listening to the spiels about how to spend more money on preventative things for my pup AND I got a stool sample done, which is always suggested but not necessary, just to find out the puppy food was giving her loose stools (not a parasite). I had to bring my pup back for a booster shot; in which I waited 40 minutes in the exam room and paid $80 for a visit and the booster; PLUS I got to hear more spiels trying to get me to spend more money on my pup. This visit put me over the edge. Thanks for your service over the years, but I don't plan on bringing my animals to this clinic anymore. Too expensive and waste of time waiting for vets. Read Less

These guys were really great with their reception and ease of appointment. Knowing how expensive Vet visits can be I asked for a quote and assured full disclosure before any other services.  My Lucy, a 11 year old mini poodle mix wasn't bouncing back from her recent flight cross country. It had been a week. She was improving slowing but since her litter mate was diagnosed with Addison's late in life my friends suggested I get her checked out. The Vet diagnosed her with an "achy back" the labs were negative.  With the test results came the drugs: ibuprofen and muscle relaxants.   As a human who mistrusts pharmaceuticals I questioned the doc and again at the check out after learning the price for the two pill bottles (one holding a liquid ibuprofen) was about $40. I took the meds, paid the bill, which now was greater than twice the price quoted and enough for a one way flight to Cali. I realized when I got home it was all too much, called to return the useless meds that I would not be giving my dog anyway. Of course reception was wonderful. I would get a call the next day from the office manager. They could not take back the drugs because they, like me, would have to dispose of them. There was no solution but for me to keep the drugs, packaged inappropriately for storage, the $28 liquid leaking out of the pill bottles. Sadly, this shop was running $25 referral discounts they could have simply found a better compromise. In the end I paid $175 to learn my dog had an "achy back". Proof vet care can be spurious at best. Read Less

My family has been taking our animals here for many years. It's really nice that they have a separate dog and cat side. Even though I hate missing all the dogs when I bring my cats in - I know that it's a lot less stress on my cats this way. They are very punctual and follow through with what they say. I've called with questions and a Vet will call me back when they say they will. They have an emergency service (which I have never used). The only downside to this office is that they have so many doctors working here - that rarely I see the same one. Even though this is about 20 minutes from my house and there are plenty of closer Veteranian's offices to me, I choose to take my cat here because I trust them with my animals. Read Less

This animal clinic came highly recommended to me by the folks over at City Creatures, as it was a closer clinic to my house. Clearly, we need more vets writing on Yelp, because that recommendation turned out to be 100% solid. Both times I've been in to the Brighton-Eggert Animal Clinic, me and my dog, Eko, have received excellent care here. The ladies at the desk are really sweet, the techs are all loving and friendly, and the vets really seem to know their stuff and love what they do. Last time we came, the tech even made my dog a special "cupcake" treat for being so good: a tasty biscuit, topped with special doggie E-Z cheese. Super cute.I also really love the fact that they're not out to recommend unnecessary services or stick you with hidden costs. I.e., when I questioned the yearly kennel cough vaccine he was slated for, they told me that unless he was regularly boarded or sent to doggie daycare, he probably didn't need it. The facilities themselves are pretty humble-looking: it's an older building, stuck out on the corner lot between Brighton and Eggert in an older part of Tonawanda. The lobby's nothing fancy, but it does have a cute box full of toys for the puppies, and helpful info about pets to browse. I might upgrade this rating to 5 stars I no longer live near this animal clinic, but now I happily drive back out to the Northtowns to have my dog seen here. It's that good! Read Less

Read Less

Read Less

Along with the report cards, they provide good advice as to how to fix certain behaviors and work with you as a team and provide support along the way. I will never take a pet of mine anywhere else. The most caring and compassionate vet. Our 13 yr old yellow lab was diagnosed with a tumor on her spleen. Unfortunately her day's were numbered. She also was due for her rabies shot, and they advised us to wait and even offered to write a letter to the town regarding her license. Definitely not in this for the money, but for what is best for your pet and your family. When the day came for our dog to cross over, it was a Sunday, and they were there for us, meeting us at the door with a gurney , listening to our stories of her life, giving us time before and after with her. Even making a cast of her paw for us to keep. a few days later we received a personalized condolence card. This group of doctors are the very best in the area! They now care for our new puppy with the same love and compassion.Read Less

Thank you so much to Dr. LoVullo and everyone that works there that have all been so kind and helpful. Read Less

Be smart if you go there. Read Less

Read Less
