This place saved my beloved cat's life. I can't express how thankful I am. My previous vet fell short of diagnosing her ailments. I thought I was going to have to put her to sleep. This was a great place to take your pet. They are knowledgeable and their network makes it easier to get appointments. However our first visit there we were given a lot of medicines without the rationale as to why. Our cat has the sniffles and we got an antibiotic. But they never explained why they thought it was bacterial. Other than that they listened to our concerns and were kind to our cat.Read Less

Needed a place to get rabbit nails clipped.  After a bad experience with another local veterinarian we decided to change it up.  Very pleased.  Quick appointment, pleasant staff.  The lobby is welcoming and comfortable and the service was quick.  We'll probably keep this as our go-to place for all animal care. They lost my cats medical records, when I adopted her right there! The doctor was wonderful with her but some of the staff don't come off friendly at all. The doctor approved me for being a good pet owner since I took very good care of her and she is perfectly healthy. A week later I get a call that I got approved to adopt a foster cat that I met there and is recovering from stomach warms. Of course I needed to wait to adopt him for he can get better. When I call to visit the cat they say I was never approved to adopt the cat, even when I have a message of proof. I don't like the dishonesty and unorginazation they have for rescued animals. I've never experienced "wait" problems. I have been using this vet for my very "vet-frightened" pit bull. The techs are sometimes wary of my dog, but the vets have all been wonderful with him. They have been nothing but professional through torn ACL, routine checkups, attack by another dog with major injuries, sedations, etc. Questions via phone are answered in a reasonable amount of time and with the ACL, had an appointment just oto discuss treatment options. i was not charged an office visit. I will continue to use and support this vet. It is a shame others have not had the same care but in over 8 years I have no complaints. Read Less

This is a great vet. We have patronized this clinic for 10 years. I especially like Dr. Robertson. She is very compassionate, knowledgeable and has a 'sixth sense' that she uses to communicate with the pets. The other vets are also good, but Dr. Robertson is a cut above the rest. Years ago we switched vets out of convenience, but returned to Troy because of Dr. Robertson. She has diagnosed problems that two other highly experienced vets completely missed, which saved one of our dogs lives. Yes, this vet is very busy--they all are. My experience thus far has been very different from the experiences of others on here. I have two cats and bring them to Troy Veterinary Hospital for all their check ups and medical issues. It has always been easy to get an appointment quickly. We have never had to wait for our appointment. We have always gone to the exam room right away and while It might take a few minutes for the vet to make it in, the delay is not unreasonable and gives our cats time to get used to the room before the exam. Prices have been reasonable and service attentive. We've been there a total of about 4 or 5 times so far with no issues. Watch out for this clinic, particularly Dr. Robertson. My elderly mother has brought her pets here for years with very mixed results. Several years ago she brought a stray cat in that she had been feeding to get all the required shots and have an infection treated. They fixed up the cat, told my mom that she couldn't adopt it because it was de-clawed (our cats are all indoor/outdoor animals) and gave her a bill of $250! They then adopted the cat out to someone else. I couldn't believe it. My mother is easily exploited and continues to patronize this clinic thinking that she has no where else to go. Also, the staff is ever-changing, not always polite and yes, you'll usually wait around 20-40 minutes past your scheduled time before your pet will be checked. AVOID this place at all costs. Read Less
