I was desperate to find a decent veterinarian after my cat chichi passed away after taking her to a mobile vet. I have a hard time trusting doctors due to past experiences.  I stumbled upon Long Island Animal Hospital and my neighbor said she has been taking her dogs there for years. I read reviews and they were good. My little dog was not feeling well and could not urinate properly. I called for an appointment and this was the only hospital of the 20 I called that asked me what was the problem and after hearing  about the issue asked me to come in the same night. We took our little Cookie in and from the moment we walked in we had positive energy and good vibes and Dr. Krawczyk was a very kind, gentle, and humble doctor. We felt safe with him. He is t pushy and he went straight to the point. You can feel his care and concern for the animals. He is a true veterinarian with compassion and love for his work. We are really blessed to have found him. Also the prices are fair. We will be taking the rest of the fur gang - we are so thankful that the search is over and we have found our veterinarian. Dr. Adam Krawcyzk and his staff are wonderful.  I came in today for my dog who has a history of seizures.  Instead of just giving the old fashioned medication (phenobarbital) which was giving my dog problems, he right away recommended newer and better medications on the market that would cause his less problems.  He is very kind and gentle with your pets and has a very nice personality.  I would highly recommend this office !  Thank you Dr.  Krawcyzk and staff ! Long Island Animal Hospital has been taking care of my dogs for the past 15 years. Doctor Rothman cared for Pepper and Mocha until Pepper's passing and the doctors retirement in the fall of 2016. He was a pleasant, agreeable doctor and I cried when he moved on, but he left his office in the good hands of Dr. Krawczyk.Dr. Krawcyzk and his wonderful assistant Gwynne have taken very good care of my aged dog Mocha. Unfortunately, last Monday we had to put Mocha down just shy of his 14th birthday. I was hysterical on my drive over to the hospital but the kind and gentle Dr. K and his stalwart supporter Gwynne made the transition for Mocha painless and comfortable. Adam and his staff are the best animal lovers in the area to care for my shitzu Chihuahua pinky. He's my niece Fancys doc and she recommended Pinky and he loves his doc. This is a wonderful veterinary practice. I have been a client for more than 10 years and have never had a bad experience. As soon as we go through the doors into the waiting room, we are treated with courtesy and professionalism. Every person who works here is excellent with both animals and humans. The prices are reasonable and procedures and medications are explained thoroughly. I don't have to drag my dog into the office----he goes right for the door. Very positive experience, first time client. Called at 6:05 PM with a non-life threatening emergency. The very professional reception staff handled the situation very quickly and was able to squeeze us in right away. The hospital is older but clean and neat. The doctor/practice owner was very respectful and professional. He examined my dog and prescribed the necessary medication (that had worked well for my dog on another occasion). Dr Infernuso, the vet surgeon was beyond amazing, along with his assistant Christine. My mom and I took our hound mix to the hospital for a front leg amputation.  Our own vet diagnosed Otis (our dog) with osteosarcoma and when asked with options, she basically said she would just put him down. Otis still had so much life in him so we struggled heavily with that sole option for a week. We took Otis to another vet for a second opinion which costs us hundreds just for consultation. The oncologist agreed that he wouldn't put Otis down bc of the amount of life that was in him. The only physical ailment Otis was feeling was his leg since it was so badly fractured. The surgery would have costs $5k-$6k at that vet. While there, we met this woman who referred us to Dr.Infernuso. My god, can I tell you how much of a relief it was when Dr. Infernuso agreed as well that Otis would be better off getting an amputation over euthanasia. It was thousands less going to Dr.Infernuso and we felt so comfortable having him do the surgery. He was so amazing through otis' healing process. He and Christine always called us back with every question we had and was constantly following up to make sure Otis was in fact healing properly. The after care is beyond amazing. I hope you don't need to go to Dr.Infernuso bc that means your pup isn't doing so well but should you have to get any vet surgery done I would 100% recommend Dr. Infernuso. Read Less

I highly recommend Dr. krawczyk for he is extremely knowledgeable in diagnosis & treatments for both dogs & cats and since I now have 2 of each I speak from experience! But Rothman is a good egg who has taken amazing care of my dog, Briscoe, he genuinely cares not only about the animals but also their "parents" and I'm sure if you told him how hurtful you found his remark to be, he would have been embarrassed and sincerely apologized to you. Dr. Krawczyk is extremely knowledgeable. We have a rescue dog who has a complicated medical history. We have taken her to three vets previously before being referred to Dr. Krawczyk, he immediately knew how to treat her current conditions without using medications/treatments that would cause re-occurrence of her prior issues. My boyfriend and I decided to change veterinarians for practical reasons. So last week we started bringing our precious "fuzzies" to Long Island Animal Hospital. It's close to home, and was highly recommended by other cat owners. The moment we walked in with little Ella last Thursday we knew we had made the right choice. She was seen by Dr. Krawczyk, as were her three brothers the next day. He's a really nice vet. As is Technician Gwynne assisting him. Yesterday, my Mama was seen by Dr. Rothman who is very personable, and we really enjoyed chatting with him. Their services are reasonable, but what matters most is the care our pets are given. Even making same day appointments isn't an issue. We know our fuzzies will continue to be in good hands with Drs. Rothman & Krawczyk, Technicians and Staff of Long Island Animal Hospital.
