I missed an appt.. the next we were late and they still saw my sick dog. They made us feel like we've been going there for years. The vet was so kind and answers allllll our questions. She helped take care of my 'first child's bad toe. A thousand lbs lifted off my shoulders. My heart is so full for this vet hospital. Thank u everyone for all your help. Awful! Rude staff, not helpful, and very unprofessional. Lady working the desk was miserable. They messed up time of appointment and would not claim any responsibility. This was a first time visit and they sent us away in a nasty, urgent and demeaning way. Will NEVER come back and have convinced others to stay away as well. Read Less

Been going to Dr. Beikirch for many years and would be lost without him. Treats me like I know what I am talking about. Does not order multiple tests unless necessary because he can diagnose without them. Also the most reasonably priced vet I know. Read Less

Our family over the past 20 years have had perhaps eight different vets and for the past 8 years we have stayed with the Sodus Animal Hospital. The doctor is very knowledgeable and he spends extra time every time we go to answer any questions to look over our animals thoroughly and provides answers to all of our questions and concerns. It's easy to see that he has a great love of animals and we will continue to go there as long as he continues his practice there. I would highly recommend this place to anybody. Sometimes we've had to wait past our appointment time perhaps ten fifteen minutes past our arrival time but to us it's worth it because we know he's just giving the client before us all the time they need and he will do the same thing for us. The place is very clean and is up to current Veterinary practices and care for animals. We are so glad that we found this Animal Hospital. I tried this place...once. The girls behind the desk are rude. When your trying to explain your situation and your a bit frazzled because it's your fur baby, they look at you like your a moron. Weigh your dog they told me, where i asked after 5 minutes. I thought they were coming out to get her. She motioned "over there" with her head, I said, you want me to do it? She said, "ya" like I was supposed to know this. I don't even know the Vets name because by this point I was already irritated. I asked questions in the exam room and not one of them seemed interested or helpful. Took my dog out to the desk to pay and all she gave me was the dollar amount, that's it. If I could give a negative star I would! This vet had been part of our lives for over 13 years. We highly respected him until now. My poor dog had been sick for a year which we had taken him to and the vet gave us what the outcome would be, what to expect etc. Well the weekend came after our poor dog started going down hill on mothers day and held strong to be here for Two of my children's college graduations. But the day came we knew it was time. I tried over Two days to talk with the vet who we also thought of as a friend. To set up a time with him to come in or just talk, but NO returned phone call. I finally made arrangements for my adult children to meet me at our house. See this dog was extremely special, we got him before my husbad went Iraq. He protected us and was comfort to my children in so many ways during that time. This vet I felt had a close relationship with not only our family but the dog. I thought WRONG! HE COULD NOT EVEN TAKE 5 MINUTES TO CALL US, COME OUT OF THE BACK AT THE OFFICE [HE WAS THERE] JUST TO COMFORT US, INSTEAD HE HID LIKE A COWARD. MY FAMILY HAD A STRANGER PUT OUR DOG DOWN. ALL I SAW WAS A BILL AND THEN A PHONE CALL FROM THE FUNERAL HOME THAT OUR FAMILY DOGS ASHES WERE READY. AS OF TODAY 2 MONTHS LATER WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CARD. I WILL NEVER TAKE ANOTHER ANIMAL TO THIS VET! The day I went into the vet the secretary said 3 people walked out from working there and that's why things were so unorganized, well good for them. VERY POOR performance and rude employees. I'm not sure the vet is even ever there. We have never seen him! employees doing shots, exams ect. that are not licensed vets. We have been treated very rude on several occasions! DO NOT RECOMMEND SODUS VETEINARY HOSPIAL TO ANYONE!! Read Less
