A year ago we said goodbye to our beloved yellow lab just shy of 14 years old. We loved him like a son. We had always told ourselves when the time would come we would want to say goodbye in our home, the home he grew up in. We felt like it would be less stressful for him and more peaceful for us. We asked our vet who had been seeing him all his life Dr Leigh Semilof from Williamson Animal Hospital to come over. We thought she was going to make this terrible sad day a little bit easier. Well we were wrong. She showed up earlier and said she had another appointment to go to after. Her comments and her demeanor was telling us she just wanted to get it done and over with to move on with her day. This was such a hard decision for us to make not something we wanted to rush. She was surprised he was still so alert and said she wasn’t prepared for that. She just wanted us to grab him and hold him still so she could install the catheter on his leg. I said don’t you usually give them a shot to relax them first? She said well I don’t really have anything and then looked in her bag and took something out and said that would work that would make him feel dizzy. I had to walk away from the room I was so sick in my stomach. I will always regret not telling her to just leave but it would’ve not been fair for him to keep him any longer. She showed no compassion no empathy it was just a job for her. Needless to say I would stay away from her. I no longer bring my other dog to her office and I definitely would never recommend her to anyone. Read Less

I would not recommend this Veterinary Hospital, clinic. we brought our dog in because of a swollen lump in her chin area the vet called my phone and left a message on my answering machine and told us that it was probably an abscess and she was going to go in and drain it. I called back and said don't you want to do an x-ray first before you do that she said well that's up to you. I requested the X-ray and come to find out my dog had a large brain tumor . So then she decided not to drain anything and said the dog needed to be put down it was 2 o'clock in the afternoon their normal hours were open till 5. I said fine my husband wouldn't be able to get there until 3:30. She said well we are thinking of going home early because we don't have any other appointments it's okay we'll keep the dog here overnight and your husband can pick it up tomorrow. Of course I was very upset during this conversation knowing I had to put my dog down and while they were kind and said that's okay we'll keep the dog here the kindness was really an opportunity to collect another $150 to keep the dog there overnight in the freezer just because they were going home early and couldn't wait for my husband to get there at 4 o'clock when they normally close at 5 I had been doing business with them for several years so there was no consideration for being a customer of long standing and I get charged for their convenience of needing to go home early and not ever was I told about this during the phone conversation while I was crying about putting my dog down. This animal hospital doesn't even deserve a star. We took my sick dog to the vet, where the vet ran tests (like they're supposed to do). Didn't know what was wrong with him proceeded to bully my mother into getting unneeded x-rays and others tests. We left with medicine, in which my dog was getting better. Went back for a 2 weeks check up, they didn't even look at my dog, and again proceeded to bully my mother into getting more x-rays. We then left with more medicine to give him, a high dose I might add, 3 days later my dog was struggling to breathe my mother called the vet, in which she stated: "there's nothing I can do you'll have to deal with it on your own". That night my dog passed away. We've never had a vet that has just told us to deal with it ourselves. If we knew what to do we wouldn't need to go to them for their services. Poor quality service.
