Dr. Olsen and his staff are phenomenal. Each of them has a love for animals that engenders trust in their care of your fur family. Dr. Olsen spends time explaining every recommendation and symptom and explains all treatment options and answers all of my numerous questions. He calls us personally to discuss test results. His staff call back when they say they will, call to check on our pets after we bring them in for an issue and wait on all customers in a pleasant and sensitive manner. Fees are explained before and after procedures and for regular visits. They are willing to work with us to help us save money on prescriptions and give practical advice to help people on a budget. We have been patients for 11 years and have trusted 3 dogs and 4 cats to their care. I am willing to answer questions about the practice and will answer based on our experience. When you have an appointment, no matter how busy he is, he makes you feel like you and your pet are his only concern. Dr. Olson is a fabulous doctor - he's been using the "calm assertive" method long before Cesar made it famous. He's the only human on earth my dachshund doesn't bark at immediately. None better!! We brought our dog there for almost 14 years. Dr. Olson always gave thorough & compassionate information. He would present pros & cons for different actions and then let you decide without judgement which way to go. The entire staff is sweet, caring and helpful. We put our Casey down last week & to the end I knew they were only a call away. We came to Amclare after I brought my Girl Scout Troop for a visit (another Mom arranged it). I was ready to get another vet when I was charged $3.00 for a SAMPLE of toothpaste by my other vet.The doctor is very caring, and the staff is friendly.
