I have taken several dogs yo this clinic and they always did all they could to heal and/or save the animals. I read some of the bad reviews and many of them come from people who have a hard time understanding that pets eventualy will be of a certain age and then pass to a better life. As far as I know this clinic, including Dr. Fish who has retired, has always been professional and helpful. Also I find it convenient for other clinics to speak badly of their competition. This clinic has saved two eyes from two different dogs, when other place said in one of these cases that one of the dogs would lose the eye. They perform teeth scaling at a much affordable price than many other places with great results. I will keep bringing my pets here. Read Less

New dr at vet clinic. He is excellent. Prices are reasonable great vet care .great people skills . They called me to remind me to take cat in for shots. Wait time is nominal. They have strays  and rescues walking around . That lets me know the care for animals not just pedigrees. I have been using this vet for a few years at another clinic. Horrible place to take your pet for care. If your love your pet stay away from this place. I took my dog to have its ears crop. One ear was cut smaller than the other and one ear started bleeding really bad, so I call them to express my concern and their response was, bring him tomorrow we are closing now, needless to say I took my pet to another vet around me that same day, who re-stitch the ear that was bleeding, and kept my dog overnight. They could not believe how bad of a procedure this vet had done.This should have cost me 450 ended up costing me 700. Lesson learned. Do a better research and read reviews like this. Unlike the other reviewer that took his pet back to them to correct the chop ears, I did not do it, I did not want to cause my dog more pain than what they had cause. A little less than a year and a half ago, I brought my dog to this vet. She was not doing too well and I needed to know the specifics of her pain/suffering. I was informed with everything I already knew. She is "old, has cataracts", but other than that, she is "fine". Her "white blood count is just a little high". "It will be hard for her to walk simply because of her age". I did NOT need to go to the vet for what I already knew. I sought out a second opinion and the news devastated me. Not only was my old puppy getting old (which I knew), her white blood count was 10 times over what it should be, which meant her body was fighting something much worse than old age and she would not win that fight against infection. The second opinion I sought out frightened me, but gave me the information I needed to know so that I knew what my dog was going through and what she would soon be facing. It would become harder for her to walk, because of the infection in her cervix. She would drink an unprecedented amount of water, because her thirst could not be quenched and her kidneys were failing. Her back legs would not be able to hold her tiny stature, again, because of her kidneys. She would urinate frequently, and evidently would begin to suffer greatly. Had I not sought out a second opinion, I would not have faced the reality of my pooches suffering or her condition. I would only recommend this veterinarian's office to have nails clipped. That doctor is like magician ! He is right person at right place ! Animal clinic of Woodhaven is the place to go !!! Doctor cares for your pet / not only to keep business going ! I had decided to change our regular wet to That place ! After first visit and new medicines my dog acts like she is half of her age :) no more struggling to breath !!! My 10yo Pomeranian have her hearth oversized , which causing less space for her lungs  to work -because of that she was coughing all the time . We went to her regular doctor few times / she had medicines and there was no change !!! Other doctor was just suggesting more and more testes made etc ... And said There's  nothing else could be done and that the way how she will be until her end !!! When it got seriously worse -I decided it's time to change our wet / HERE IS THE CHANGE ! LOVE IT !!! This place is the worse . First off I took my American bully there to get his ears crop. Dr fish did a horrible hack job . I notice after cleaning and taking scabs off my dogs ears that one ear was cut different from the other . I called the clinic and soon after took my dog back to him to correct his wrong doing . He told me nothing was wrong that my dogs ear is natrully like that. I said no way. He did the sergery again to correct his mistake . But then has the nerve after me spending $ 420 dollars to charge me a $90 dollar extra fee for anesthesia to my dog to sleep. Yea ok ! Very unprofessional and might I add rude.... I've visited this animal clinci and i was very impressed with the staff on how careing they are about doing whats right for animals and ensureing ever pet parent that whatever decision are made, It was the right one for the animal. i've been working in the pet industry for many years and trusted my affiliated vet clinic with my pet but when my dog got sick really bad i had to take him to get a second opinion with someone who wasn't affiliated with me or my company that i work for. sadly what i thought was wrong with my baby boy was correct i know there was little hope then for my pet. many thanks to doctor fish and his staff for trying to fix something that couldn't be fix. anyways i would recommend this place to anyone and if you ever have to get labs or xray done its done on the spot and you get the result in mins. I'm an owner of two cats and have been going to Dr.Fish for more than 4 years now. Yes, he can be crass, so if you are expecting him to make a connection with your pet it's not happening - complete lack of bedside manner. However, that's not something I personally prioritize in doctors including my PCP, what I expect is a doctor to be straightforward, clear and efficient with me which is exactly what Dr. Fish does. I believe he expects the same from the animal owners and has a better connection with you if you're straight with him as well. He definitely doesn't beat around the bush. The prices are fairly reasonable, and the technicians and receptionists have always been sweethearts and very helpful. Like mentioned in other reviews the place is full of rescued animals (mostly cats) just roaming about the area. Everyone I have recommended to Dr. Fish has had a satisfactory experience so far - I however cannot vouch for the service in cases of emergencies or serious surgeries since I have not experienced those with my cats as of right now. We've been taking our pets here at least since I was born. Dr. Fish may come off as nasty or stoic, but he's a great doctor. He's not for everyone, as he's not very comforting, but he knows what he's doing, and personally I think that's the most important thing.Read Less

Dr Fish and his staff are looking to rip you off not your pet's wellbeing. I took my 13 year old dog with a growing tumor which he refused to diagnosed, yet he charged me for the visit. He took 2 X Rays, which a second PROFFESIONAL Vet found out to be useless. Read Less

Rude, does not care about your pet, does not like to work, will not attempt to make your pet feel safe and comfortable. They get two stars because the vet tech was somewhat engaged. He did not do a complete check up, my dog was prescribed antibiotics and probiotics for his Gastro intestinal discomfort by an excellent veterinarian that same week. Dr. Fish just did not care about my dog. You'd like this place depending on the type of person you are. I did not like this place because, although their prices are technically less expensive than your average vet, your getting what you pay for. Low quality vet care from a Veterinarian who does not care about animals. I brought my pit bull puppy for a wellness visit. Before coming in, I called to see if they had appointments available, I spoke with the Vet himself and he was incredibly, unbelievably rude.   "Hi, I just got a puppy and I'd like to make and appointment for a routine check up please"Vet: "ok, when do you want to come in?""What availability do you have?"Vet: " I don't know! You want an appointment right?! So you tell me when you want to come!" I had to hang up and have my coworker book the appointment for me, I was about to lose my cool! The day of the visit, all he did was listen to his heart beat and tells me he seems healthy. He did not attempt to make a connection with my dog in the very least. I asked the Doctor if what did he think about doing a CBC to make sure there wasn't something invisible to the naked eye, he shrugged his shoulders and said "for what? The dr didnt seem to be much of a pet lover and didnt comfort us on the operation , so we pick my do up with no aftercare instruction , my dog became aggressive after the surgery .We took him to a different vet and found out that the doctor left some sutures inside my dog!!
