I've been a client of Hillsdale Animal Hospital since opening in 2000. Dr. Frazier and Dr. Kirk have always been courteous and respectful. During the last 15 years, they have seen a multitude of my pets and have always acted professional and compassionate. They truly care about each patient and client. I'd recommend them in any situation. I think a lot of people don't use common sense in certain situations. You wouldn't walk into your general physician with severe chest pains and get mad when they send you to the hospital. I've been in all types of situations with each Doctor and I can say they are both AWESOME!
Along with the staff, the veterinarians at Hillsdale Animal Hospital, always treats everyone with respect and compassion regardless of the situation.
One of my most memorable times was when my dog was sick on a Saturday morning. She was fine one minute and yelping with a painful tummy the next. When I called I was directed to come in immediately, which I did. My dog was examined by Dr. Frazier and test began. It turned out she needed 24 hour care, IV fluids, blood work every 2 hours. Dr. Frazier recommended she receive care at an emergency vet. It was my choice to take her to a ER vet, which I did. She survived and enjoyed many more years of being a patient of Hillsdale Animal Hospital. I did what Dr. Frazier recommended and my dog did great.
Dr. Kirk recently spayed my kitten. My kitten had been attacked by dogs prior to us getting her and had lots of damage to her lungs/ribs. Dr. Kirk was awesome with the kitten. She made sure she was completely healed prior to surgery to insure a quick recovery. A few days after surgery, the kitten had a cough (turns out she over grooms everything!) that was worrying me so I called Hillsdale Animal Hospital. I left a message and Dr. Kirk returned my call quickly. She listened to my concerns, regardless of how trivial they may have been. My kitten is fine, thanks again to a veterinarian at Hillsdale Animal Hospital.
The sad thing about animals is they can't tell their Doctor what is wrong. So many times owners wait too long to take their pet to the veterinarian. By the time the pet is seen by a vet, it may be very, very sick and require more treatment to get better. So many people blame the Doctor, but in the end owners are the ones that are to blame.
