We had a horse colic today and they sent Dr. Jordan and she arrived within 15 minutes. She was very thorough and even stayed for a while to make sure the horse was doing better. A few minutes later one of our dogs got into a fight and We had to rush her to Bear Creek. Dr. Pike was working and took great care of our dog. She is even going to stop by tomorrow to check on her. Do all of your pets a favor and take them to Bear Creek Veterinary Hospital. We have been coming here for years and appreciate the availability of an office visit or farm call, whatever the need. We spend thousands of dollars here every year. Each and every employee does his or her best to provide the best service tbat they can. I want to share this touching experience with everyone on Bear Creeks website. On January 5th we had to put down one our dogs. His name was Bandit & he was so full of life that day. However he had a aggressive tumor on the roof of his mouth. It was made clear that his playfulness would soon come to an end so we didn't want him to suffer. Sometimes pet lovers have to make an extremely difficult decision about their beloved pets. The staff at Bear Creek were so kind and compassionate. They never rushed us and let us take all the time we needed, even though they were extremely busy. The vet, and I'm sorry I can't remember her name, took the time to explain everything to us. I am sad that we moved far enough away that we will not be able to travel here anymore, but I felt I should leave my review of Bear Creek finally. We used this veterinarian for a couple of years while we lived in the area, and it is a once in a life time find. All of the doctors absolutely love your animals like they are their own. Their prices are always very very reasonable and they do everything they can to help you out in any type of financial situation. I've had a dog with two broken legs taken care of for 800 dollars, that included x-rays, all the visits, all of the equipment, all of the bandages, for a few months. They love that dog. I also had another puppy who got Parvo, and I couldn't afford the care to leave him there, even though it was fairly priced. Since my wife has medical experience and works in the medical field, they instead sold us all materials, IV fluids, medicines, and gave us very clear instructions on how to care for our dog at home, and that dog lived. I've had a neuter done and it was very professional, my dog acted like nothing had happened. I will miss Bear Creek and continue to recommend it to all of my family and friends within a reasonable drive away. Oh yeah, they also saved my mother in laws dog who almost died from malpractice at another vet. Thank you for everything you guys have done and for who you are as vets.Read Less

Monday evening our mastiff mixe became I'll and they got him right in. He normaly is scared of the vet and never being here before we figured he would be here too. But he acted like they were old friends. He was in lots of pain and the vet was so gentle with him. Scheduled his surgery and got him on antibiotics and pain meds. They even were able to trim his nails. These folks rock. They listened to every little detail and answered honestly. He loved it there and we will go back with the rest of our fur babies. Read Less

I can not tell you how wonderful these folks are!! Dr Pike and Dr Connelly were the absolute best! I had a very sick baby (pot belly pig) and there care and compassion was remarkable! I don't need to tell anyone who's lost a beloved pet what a traumatic experience it is! These guys make it as peaceful and comforting as humanly possible! Dr. Pike and the fine staff at BCVH provided the best of care for my Rottweiler, Hugo. He can be very difficult to work with, but Dr. Pike and staff never let that get in the way of Hugo's healing. I took my 16 year old Jack Russell Terrier in today for limping on front leg.....now he is our baby and family member and love him to the moon and back ! The entire staff was very polite , professional and very informative. They answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns . They are not pushy trying to get you to do all these high price procedures and they lay out all your options from the highest to the most pallative of care . They did a great job with my dog, and she usually cant stand to be away that long. If the measured anesthesia was too much for that other poor souls dog I can't imagine what they went through, but mistakes happen everyone makes them. They couldnt give her pain meds if she was already too heavy on the anesthesia, if your dog was in heat that would be why they overcharge, which they told me up front there would be extra fees if that happened. Horrible service. Seriously words cannot express how unsatisfied I am with this clinic. My dog needed to get spayed and they gave her too much anesthesia, they wouldnt give her pain medicine, and it looked like a 5 year old hacked her all up. My dog is in pain after surgery and they wont give us any pain meds for her? And then, she already had a 1 year shot for rabies so we needed the 3 year shot completed and they just did another 1 year on the rabies. They called 3 times during her surgery for just cosmetic issues that they wanted to overcharge us on. I will NEVER go to this place again!
