I needed an emergency vet visit for my cat and was able to get a same-day appointment with Town & Country as a new patient. My cat was seen quickly by the vet, and although her situation was quite dire and rather frightening, the staff handled it really well, quickly determined the underlying health issue, and adequately explained to me the results and treatment. They offered to monitor her throughout the day in case her condition worsened. My fiance picked her up in the afternoon and he too met with the doctor. I also received a call the next morning to ask how my cat was doing. Overall, I could not be happier with their level of care and service for my pet. Read Less

Exceptional staff! Don’t let the swanky building fool you, vet services are affordable & they are transparent about weither a service is necessary. We have been regular clients for 10 years & even though we live 45 mins away continue to drive to them for all our veterinary needs. Staff is friendly & knowledgeable from the receptionists, techs & vets! They always follow up post appointment. There are not enough adjectives to describe how great Town & Country is for my pets! I am a volunteer with a local dog rescue group & they manage to balance the information of my past 15 foster dogs! Quality facility, quality care, customer service needs serious work. I took my 7 month old Scottie for spaying. I was told that I would receive a call when she was out of surgery/anaesthesia. I received no call. When I called to check, I was told by an argumentative technician that the doctor had called and left a phone message. That was untrue, so either I was given the 'standard' answer or they called the wrong number. I NEVER did receive a phone call. When I called the second day, I was made to wait over 10 minutes on two successive calls, and the representative's attitude on the second call was snippy. I have just retired from a customer service position, and while the actual veterinary care was good, lacking customer service will cause lost patients and reviews like this. They have one more chance to retain my business. I left another vet because of snippy condescending staff before coming here. I sent an email to the office manager and received no response. All I asked was to receive what I was told I would, a phone call assuring me my dog was ok after surgery, apparently that was asking too much. Customer service is a lost art. Imagine how any of them would have felt if their dog was in surgery/anaesthesia and they got no calls or updates. Unacceptable. Read Less

The person that manages the doggy daycare is incompetent. Yesterday I called after my dog had a accident June 13th. Be careful trusting these people with your dog. They can't tell the truth about what happens to them while they are at the facility. Lady said she called me twice to check on my dog and unable to leave a voicemail. Which isn't true. Very dissapointed in Town and Country. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. Read Less

If you want to deal with a young adults smart disrespecting mouth and someone giving you one price then charging you another then this is the place for you. They handled a bad situation in a awful way and the young lady at front was extremely disrespectful and condescending. I have been using Town and Country Veterinary hospital for about 20 years and they are the absolute best. We love Dr. Merriman, but have seen most of the other doctors for emergencies when we couldn't get into Dr. Merriman and they have all been great. I know my dog is in good hands with them. They have kept our 12 yo lab looking like a spring chicken and when we had emergencies pop up, they made sure we were seen that day and called us back with lab results quickly. We have used Town and Country Veterinary Hospital for over 13 years for our Shih Tzu Ruby. We love Dr. Nick Ashford but all the Doctors at the practice are wonderful. They are so kind and truly love my pet. One of the things I love best about their practice is that they do not overcharge for services. They do not push you to do unnecessary things and always offer you less expensive options for taking care of your furry family member. The last vet we used was all about the money. In over 13 years I have never once felt that way about this practice. I also love that the practice works hand in hand with the groomers in the adjacent business. Not only is this convenient it makes sure that if the groomer finds a problem the Vet staff comes right over to check on it. Finally, the practice is on the cutting edge of veterinary medicine offering many alternative therapies, including acupuncture. Read Less

I've taken my 4 Golden Retrievers to their Daycare and Groomers for years and have been very happy with them. The staff is knowledgeable and caring. Cooper, my oldest Golden, loves Luke and gets very excited when he hears he gets to go see him at Daycare. Since we were very happy with the Daycare and Groomers, we decided to start using their Veterinary Services as well. We've seen 3 different vets there and couldn't be happier. However, Dr. Ashford is our favorite. Cooper (8.5 yrs old) has several health issues and requires meds and constant lab work. Last week, he was in such bad shape that we were considering putting him down. We were devastated! Dr. Ashford did some additional research and we put Cooper on a handful of meds and within 2 days, Cooper was eating and able to walk again. He even wags his tail and has some pep in his step. Dr. Ashford is the best and holds a special place in our hearts as he was able to make Cooper comfortable so we can keep him around longer. All the staff at the Vet office is amazing, as well. Town & Country & Dr. Ashford are the best. This is a very nice facility and from the minute you walk in the door everyone is very friendly & caring to you and your pet. I drive quite a distance past many other vets to get there and it is well worth the trip. Not only are their prices more reasonable but they are a far superior group. All the vets are very informed, gentle and caring using a combination of modern medical science and good old common sense and compassion. They go out of there way to explain the problem, treatment options and the cost. The dogs walk in willingly and are never ready to leave so that tells me these people are sincere because dogs know. I only wish they treated humans because you will never get this level of care at the MD's office. Read Less

Very impressed with this place! We came for the first year check up for our two kittens and every thing went so smooth. We arrived 10 minutes before our appointment to fill out any new patient paperwork and they did all of that for us based on the paperwork we got from the adoption agency. We were seen right away by a vet tech and then the dr. Came right in afterwards. No issues paying and we were in and out of there in 30 minutes!The staff was great and you could tell everyone there really loves animals. Also they have a very distinct philosophy and believe in not over medicating and not switching anything (food, medication) unless there is an issue. The vet had every opportunity to "upsell" me with additional vaccines and medications but did not. Very nice to know this team has a love for animals that is greater than making money. This review is for the boarding services only. It's a top-notch, clean, and well maintained facility. The staff is friendly, and I think my dog had a good time there. However, there were several things that made me not want to return. We always bring our dog's own food when we board so it doesn't upset his tummy. When I picked him up, inspection of the bill revealed they had charged us a $1 per feeding "storage fee" for his own food. What??? I was not informed of this when I dropped him off, nor is it mentioned on the website. This seems like taking advantage. Wouldn't it actually be CHEAPER for them to feed him the food that WE provided? If anything, we should have received a discount...Further inspection of the bill revealed they had also charged a $9 medication administration fee. My dog didn't receive any meds while there. They said it was a mistake and refunded it to my credit card. When my dog was brought out, I looked down and noticed his toe was bleeding to the point where drops of blood were landing on the floor. He had been groomed that day so I figured it was from the nail trim. I asked them to take him back and put some styptic powder on it, which they did. When she brought him back, she said the groomer sent along a message to "make sure he doesn't pull too much so his nails don't grind into the pavement" because they had been cut really short. Um, ok, why so short? Obviously too short if you had to give me that instruction and my dog was bleeding. My dog's regular groomer has no trouble cutting them to the proper length. I didn't receive a report about how my dog did during his stay. I paid for five additional activities for him (2 play times, 1 walk, 2 TV/couch time). When I dropped him off I explained that my dog can get a little anxious when boarding in new places. I asked that they please call me if it seemed like he didn't enjoy one service or the other, or even if he needed more attention. I would have been willing to pay for that. I never received a call. After I left from picking him up and I realized I hadn't received a report, I called back to ask and they said he enjoyed his stay but he needed more play time. I realize it was busy (4th of July holiday) but if you are going to bill yourself as a place that provides all these extra services, you might want to sell them a little better and make the owner feel a little more at ease.Finally, a silly thing but annoying nonetheless. My dog is male but they repeatedly referred to him as a "she." I know dogs don't care about their gender but this is a loving member of my family who I'm leaving in their care for over a week. Did they really spend the entire week thinking he was a girl?? It just added to the sense that they weren't taking much special care. Read Less

T&C has amazing vets and techs; they are knowledgeable, but also very caring and friendly. They always take great care of my dog Emmie and she's been there more times than we'd like! The check up visits are easy to schedule but they also are the best when it comes to emergencies. I trust them and would recommend them to anyone!!  We've been taking Emmie to them since we rescued her about 8-9 years ago.  Their place is easy to get to, reasonable cost, clean, and staff have great customer service every visit. I have been taking my animals to Town & Country for the past 6 years now. I have always been happy with their customer service and professionalism. The doctors and staff are all wonderful.It looks like a mini ski-chalet lol.. They are very comparable on their prices compared to other vets, actually cheaper in $$ than Banfield at Petsmart...
