This is a fantastic Vet. Dr Bats was my Bassett hound Max's Dr when he got the dreded heart worm at 10 yrs old. He had a rough time with the treatment which was expected but he pulled through and they have been there for us ever since. Great and caring staff. My dog Luke absolutely loves coming to the vet. He is full of energy, but the doctors handle him so well. They are amazing with him and my cat Maggie. We have seen all of the vets at the practice and they are all great. I truly don't have a preference. The vets at VCA seem to be very knowledgeable and care about my pets. The staff is always prompt to answer any questions and very friendly. I would highly recommend this animal hospital! Read Less

The people here are so nice. I adopted my Riley from Peak Lab back in July, and this is where I picked him up from. I have currently had always gone to Banfield, but after being refused to be seen by three locations when my dog needed to be seen after an allergic reaction I went back to this VCA. They helped my baby and were super nice and didn't refuse to see him even though it was late. Needless to say I will be officially switching over to VCA completely. Great place and great staff! Amazing facility and staff. I really enjoyed my experience at VCA! Every time I come in I am always greeted by a really friendly staff member and felt as if they really care. I was unsure after reading some of the reviews but I have experienced the total opposite. I actually had them suggest ways to make the treatments/medications cheaper. I've seen both Dr. Peddy and Dr. Batts and neither of them ever made me feel stupid for asking questions whether it be about medication or payment options. I would rate the facility in general and the attending staff a 5. If I was rating the dr we saw it would be a 2. Over a number of visits the dr we saw was nice and concerned with the condition of our beloved animal, but she was all over the place with her diagnosis and treatment plans. It added more stress to the already grief situation and prognosis. She did what we felt was best, but she was also very clear when she did not agree with us. I can respect that to an extent, but I cannot respect when she made it out to be about money. She went as far as asking our credit card limit and giving advice on how to pay for an expensive surgery she was recommending. That crossed a line and her undertones were definitely not appreciated. The facility is nice, definitely animal friendly (even kid friendly!), the staff always greeted us in a cheerful manner and were pleasant every time we called. I would definitely use this facility again, however I would definitaly ask to be seen by a different doctor. Read Less

IVe taken my dog there 3 times before and each time the person seemed to talk down to you and they would charge outrageously each time of being over $400 and once almost 200 just for her to be looked at and be told what i had already known to be going on. Then i call to ask for some advice on something since i dont have the money right now to pay just for her to be looked at and i was told that the vets were on lunch but they would call me back and the guy asked what it was i needed help with. So i explained the story of what was going on and was told they would call when they got back and i have yet to hear back. Read Less

Found VCA to be very professional in the way they handle my two Labs. Most recently, one of our dogs had a dental clean operation. They kept us informed every step of the procedure as several teeth had to be extracted. The operation was a total success! I also appreciate the fact that they were helpful in assisting me with the paperwork involved. I found every aspect of VCA to be efficient and pleasant. Read Less

My dog was seen twice within 3 days. Both times I was told that her lungs were clear. She was given a full blood work-up, fluids and 3 medications. Total bill was $550. Plus they wanted to clean her teeth. 3 days later, she was worse. Took her to another vet. Diagnosis: Lung Cancer with 1 month to live. All medication given by this vet were unnecessary. I also found out their charges were way out of line. Go somewhere else.Read Less

I only wish I had made this my regular vet. After a horrible visit to Fuquay Veternary Hospital, I had to make the heart breaking decision to put my dog down because the Doctor at FVH did not care about how life threatening my dog's condition was. I took him to VCA to be euthanized and the staff could not have been more sympathetic and kind-hearted. They truly cared about my dog and what I was going through. They let me spend as much time with him as I needed before and after he was put down and did not push me to hurry with the procedure when I almost backed out. They made a foot print of my dog with clay for me to take home and even had his name on it. That was so touching and personal. And just the other day I received a card in the mail from VCA with signatures and sympathies from the employees. I only wish I had gone here before my dog's condition got so bad.
