Blue Flint Animal Hospital

Asheboro, North Carolina
General Info
Blue Flint Animal Hospital, Asheboro uses spatial memory and energy balance for treating animals. Every step of the visit, from arrival to discharge, enhances sensory harmony for pets across North Carolina. The rooms for patient appointments are set up the same way every day (the furniture, lighting, and door to the room are always the same). Staff members use minimal vocal variations and restrict their body movement to narrow arcs with pauses between procedures to allow pets adjust. Smell (every event is independent, smell is neutralized). Pet orientation patterns enable owners to select seating arrangements that may be in proximity or distanced. Blue Flint Animal Hospital provides the following diagnostic services infection control joint health nutritional modification behavior and recovery. Each service emerges in its own right rather than being a checklist item. When the animal turns away and lowers its ears, they initiate familiar signals with staff by performing low-impact actions such as air stroking or offering a towel/sleeve to anchor. Post-care reintegration builds upon rhythm-based techniques. Once the medical procedures are done, the family members must be trained on how to ensure consistency in morning activities by minimizing home stimuli and employing smooth sound effects as it approaches bed time. Instructions also involve environmental adjustments to help pets cope and resume their daily activities without much confusion. Blue Flint Animal Hospital offers professional veterinary services in Asheboro, NC, and surrounding communities. Services at Blue Flint Animal Hospital include: Internal Medicine, Diagnostics, Ultrasound, Reptile Care, Radiology (X-rays), Pocket Pet Care, Nutritional Counseling, Behavioral Counseling, In-House Pharmacy and Surgery. This diversity means that pet lovers in Asheboro, NC, and the surrounding areas can take their animal companions for anything from routine checks to sophisticated procedures. The clinic remains a trusted establishment in the Asheboro region by ensuring that pets receive services aimed at promoting healthy and comfortable living throughout their lives.

My dog had a bowel obstruction that turned out to be a tumor. I took him to blue flint and they basically just gave me pectin and a lecture about getting my dog's teeth cleaned. Thing is, I had gotten my dog's teeth cleaned there within a year of this lecture. Now, it turns out the tooth and gum degradation is a telltale sign of the specific kind of tumor my dog had. At that point it was probably small enough to operate on, but this place had no clue. Fast forward a month and they're telling me my dog has terminal cancer. They were way more interested in making me feel like a bad dog owner to book another teeth cleaning appointment than they were in helping my dog at the time. Absolute medical negligence. This on top of issues we had with another family dog that had fallen off a table and become injured, which we only found out when we switched vets and requested the dog's medical records for the transfer. We had no clue why this dog could barely walk for a month. My mother had told me about her experience euthanizing our family schanuzer here. They basically just inject the dog and let you watch them drop. No real emotional support or anything. She was reasonably upset about this and they essentially insulted her for crying as much as she did. Zero compassion. If you love your dog, dont take them here. Staff is negligent and higher ups are snotty jerks that would rather tell you youre a bad dog owner than help your dog. Also, even when your dog is dead there is apparently no way to get them to stop sending you healthcare reminders and opening the wounds all over again continually, even if you show up in person and ask them to stop. If pets had the same protections as people, this place wouldn't be in business. Read Less

I am new to Asheboro and needed a vet for my 4 pets. A close friend referred us to Blue Flint. My experience was HORRIBLE! My 16 year old Cockapoo became ill. I took him in 3 time in a month and each time the doctor said he just had a sinus infection and would be fine. On the 4th trip a doctor told us real story. A tooth had decayed and created a whole into his sinuses and my dog was aspirating. Because of his age we put him on a hospice a plan including pain meds. He deteriorated and we took him back. My son took our pet in and the doctor prescribed the same pain med our pet was already on. So now we were paying again for a drug we already had at home. We decided to travel to our previous vet to see what we needed to do. We got a real answer. I do not trust the doctors at Blue Flint. I think they brought us in over and over without intelligent, thorough information. I would never recommend this clinic. I am beyond disappointed. Read Less

She's so intelligent with her diagnoses and spot-on with her treatment plans. And to boot, she's relatable and easy to talk to. I'm so happy we lucked into picking them for our babies. This review is not regarding the veterinary services due to the fact that I have never utilized them. This review is for the boarding services I used a couple years ago. I feel that I need to warn prospective boarders. I boarded a rambunctious out going pup there for 5 days while on vacation. When I returned to pick her up she was lethargic and wet (due to a bath they must have attempted to give her while I was in the waiting room). She still smelled like shampoo and stale urine. This pups hair was falling out like crazy and when returned home she stayed balled up in the corner of her crate for a week straight. Now I'm no dog whisperer but I can put 2 and 2 together. They left this dog in the kennel or whatever they put the boarders in for the entire 5 days probably just sprayed the kennel out to get rid of the urine and stool. This dog was traumatized that's why she needed a week to get out of that funk. She must have been given some horse crap cheap feed that's why her hair was falling out. Now how can that be done under a vet nose.. it's just goes to show you can abuse animals on the chain, in the crate or in a kennel. It doesn't matter where they are kept it matters what the intentions are of they're care taker. Blue Flint just wants the $$. Read Less

Blue Flint is the absolute BEST place to take your fur family EVER! My dog LOVES going to Blue Flint. He is a special needs dog (deaf), very large/muscular and is high energy. Everyone who works here truly cares about the animals and takes the time to get to know them. I take Mesa (my dog) to daycare twice a week and he cannot wait to get inside when we pull into the parking lot. The people who work here are always smiling and happy to see us. They greet Mesa immediately and even learned his sign language to better communicate with him. Mesa dubbed one of the employees his girlfriend (Janet) and absolutely adores her ( although he loves everyone here)! Janet even came to see Mesa in a play at Christmas on Sunset, ON HER OWN TIME, to support him. Dr. Gardner is the main vet he sees and she too goes above and beyond every time we see her. It is overwhelming to find people who truly care. Having a special needs dog is a challenge and Mesa is thriving. Though my husband and I put in a ton of work with him, he would not be as well adjusted as he is without the kindness and compassion of others. WE LOVE BLUE FLINT!!! Read Less

Read Less

I love these people! We've moved around a little and had a few different vets and these are by far our favorite. Dr. Gardner has saved our oldest dog multiple times... so many we've joked our dog must have 9 lives like a cat! She's incredible at what she does.

Read Less

The Vets at Blue Flint Animal Hospital are some of the best I've ever dealt with. They love my dogs and take extra special care with all of them . When my snowflake had to have his operation for cancer Dr Gardner was very loving and kind to him getting down on the floor with him to comfort him. All the Vets there seem to really love animals and have gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable there, as well as the staff they're all very nice very friendly. Also when my dog's got into a little scuffle they were able to see them the same day for no extra cost I can't say enough about Blue Flint Animal Hospital and Dr Gardner. I've had to have lots of blood work done on snowflake for his cancer and they always call me in a timely manner with his results. It's not cheap to take the dogs there but it's worth every penny.
