Was in the office today with my older dog and was told an amount of 112.00 but then after getting upset because I was not credited for meds that I spend $42.00 that wouldn't despence when they were perscribed, (and I got filled at Walgreens for $23.00) my bill went up to 136.00. I was told by Dr John to bring them back and they would credit me for them. He didn't say when to return them and because they didn't despence you couldn't use them on another dog. So if you want to be ripped off just go there! They will not write perscriptions for 1 800 pet meds becasue the are their own pharmarcy I guess. I asked why the price changed the they said the had given me a senior discount but then it wasn't Tuesday so they couldn't give me a discount. I got the old meds back because they wouldn't give me a credit on them. The lady at check out was very rude and they acted like I was going to steal the meds they perscribed today.

We are so thankful to have Dr John for our vet. He is very loving, caring and affordable. I like the fact that he communicates our pets situation where I can understand. Two of our yorkies had major surgery this year and came out great. Thanks to a good vet and caring staff. Everyone treats me nice. I'm been so blessed to have The Pet Hospital for my pets. I have been there several times over the past year but recently have had a bad experience that I feel should be addressed. The other day, I had the unfortunate and first time experience in my life to make the decision to put a beloved dog of 15 years down. While most everyone was nice, one particular vet tech who assisted in the euthanasia, decided to make a hurtful and sarcastic comment during my grief. My dog's eyes had not closed after the euthanasia. While I DO realize this is not something that always happens when one passes, I made the comment that my dog's eyes were still open. When I made my comment through my tears and sadness for my lost beloved baby, I meant is there a way I can close her eyes. Instead of being gracious or kind, the vet tech stated, "it's not like it is in the movies!" Then she walks out of the room. That really upset me. I know it's not like the movies and I felt she could have been more compassionate rather than making such an uncalled for statement during my moments of extreme grief. During a time like this I feel that I want to be free to say and express what I want concerning my loved ones without such comments or coldness. I think Vets and vet techs no matter how many times they have to euthanize a pet should remember for some of us this is our first time and each experience no matter how much of a routine it is for them should be met with compassion for the family.

This is the best vet you will every have the pleasure of working with, Dr John has performed a couple of major surgeries on my Beagle & is schedule to do another surgery this time on my Chihuahua. Just when I felt that vets offices take advantage, this is far from the situation with Dr John, his priority is the pet & with his low costs it's the only place I will ever go for pet care.

My dog and I like coming here! I adopted him from Bessemer City and this is where he originally got his puppy shots so I continue to take him here even though I live in Charlotte. We tried another vet, but they charged outrageous amounts for visits and suggested a diet that was about $500 without giving me a warning of the costs. Dr. Lastella is very good with my dog and his staff is friendly and caring!

This review is not about Dr. LaSalle per se. It is about the groomers. I took my dogs here for care as well as grooming. The first grooming they did a good job. The second time I took them for grooming they butchered my Pekingese. Of course it wasn't there fault. According to the vet... My baby had a skin irritation. After about 3 months of not taking them there, I took them today. Sure enough by the time we got home my baby's entire body was red and swollen. It hurts for him to be touched. I'm taking him back and demand my money back and they gonna give him some help to ease his pain. They're not going back there. I wish I can post his pics.

Was in the office today with my older dog and was told an amount of 112.00 but then after getting upset because I was not credited for meds that I spend $42.00 that wouldn't despence when they were perscribed, (and I got filled at Walgreens for $23.00) my bill went up to 136.00. I have been there several times over the past year but recently have had a bad experience that I feel should be addressed. The other day, I had the unfortunate and first time experience in my life to make the decision to put a beloved dog of 15 years down.
