let me start by saying by saying i love Dr. Wicker and Delina. Now i will list all the things plaza did WRONG. I purchased my doberman puppy on 2/10/19 prior to getting her i called all the local vets to check pricing for ear crops. when i spoke to Delina she said that her and Dr. wicker both owned Dobies and they would be more then willing to help with anything i needed but, they did not preform the surgery there and suggested stoney creek. Well stoney creek doesn't preform the surgery also. that was fine i found a vet in greensboro. on 3/5/19 canela had her crop per the surgery i was to bring her back on 3/8/19 so i called plaza to see if they could board and watch her while i went to work on 3/6 and 3/7. i was informed by practice manager i would have to pay for an "exam fee" on top of them taking down her ears which they could not re-post because they did not preform the surgery. on 3/22/19 after going to the surgeon on 3/8/19, 3/12/19, 3/14/19, 3/19/19 i was due to go back to the surgeon on 3/26/19. on 3/22/19 i smelled a horrible smell and saw brown stuff coming from her ears. i called the surgeon and they had no vet in the office that day i called Plaza and was told by the practice mangaer there is nothing they could do i needed to back to who preformed the surgery. i then went to "BURLINGTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL" CRYING!!! they were more then willing to help.. the tech there told me to go to my primary vet and they would have to take care of me. I then showed up and they did thank god for Dr. Wicker and Delina. they took down her ears and cleaned and gave me meds. Delina said she would help me post the ears if i bought my own supplies after the ears had healed on 3/26 i decided to board canela because i wanted to make sure her ears were on and they would help me repost so i wanted to make things fair and them not just helping me for free because they had no way to charge me for the re-posting. on 3/27 they helped me re-post with my supplies after Delina got off. i left my supplies there because i thought they were going to help me re-post. now this time line is going to fast fwd to when i asked for the supplies back while Delina and wicker weren't there on 3/29 i was treated like a begger. i heard the front office person get interrogated by the office manager about my supplies and the ethics of the helpful DR. and Delina. So i left and was then called back to say that they were sorry for the mix up. when i got there the office staff comes to the front desk and ask me what package i had them in. like i was trying to steal, i asked them to charge me to for the amount i needed. Fast fwd to today after spenind $1000 since 2/11/19 my dog has hookworms never missed a dose of heartgard or nextgard i have no idea how she has not been eating and has had the runs, when i placed my chewy order to get trifexis they informed me they no longer do the orders and i would have to fax it in i was due for prevention on 7/3/19 so i needed it faxed back so it would get here the following tue. so instead of wasting my money on a product that did not work i wanted to go with something else. hmmmm you would thin they would be willing to make sure i was helped but i was informed they want me to use their pharmacy... when the same product was $77 on chewy with 15 coupon and $133.00 with their pharmacy.. and why would i pay $56 dollars more for the same thing when chewy and stoney creek were more willing to help... I STILL HAVE 1996 POINT ON PET DESK IT IS A WASTE BECAUSE I WILL NEVER HAVE THEM TOUCH MY DOG ILL USES THEM FOR THEIR OVER PRICED RETAIL PRODUCTS $5 OFF. I JUST WANT TO SAY NEVER GO HERE IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET THE WAY I LOVE MY LIL SHOW DOG. I would also like to add that no one notified me about new changes with ordering from chewy and I would like to say if I was notified I would of planned accordingly. since I wasn't notified someone should have understood and been willing to help instead of just look at me as a dollar amount I'm also not to sure if the color of my skin and my sexuality didn't play a part in the way I was treated. So disgusted. Desperately looking for semi emergency care for my senior lab. Called and spoke to a wonderful lady Friday to make a Saturday morning appointment. Got there and is no record of appointment. Lady behind the desk couldn't have been less compassionate. She wanted to focus on that they had an old fill in doctor who hadn't even showed up so who knows if I could be seen. She wanted to add the extra jab that I should have written down the name of the person I spoke with, oh well. Thanks for getting Plaza when I'm in a crisis. Read Less

The extended office hours are great because I don't have to take off of work to keep an appointment. Staff is ALWAYS friendly. Waiting room is never crowded and I suspect it's because of careful scheduling. It's a peaceful place to sit with an anxious animal. I like the fact they have an older vet with lots of experience and down to earth, country doctor common sense. They also have younger vets eager to keep up with new treatments and technology. Tech's and assistants seem happy and interested. I've had nothing but positive experiences here. Read Less

This is going to be very hard to post!! We had our precious cat, Caroline for over 15 yrs.. This vet started treating her maybe 2-3 years ago cause it was a lot closer to our house as Caroline didn’t like to ride at all!! Well this past Thursday December 7, 2017.. My daughter had to rush her to the vet because she was having problems breathing.. See she had breast cancer a few yrs back and had surgery. We knew she had asthma, so we were thinking asthma attack.. Little did we know that the cancer had came back and spread to her heart and lungs.. The doctor and staff were so humbled to us. You could see the hurt in their eyes as much as they could see the pain we were facing..The staff aloud us all the time we needed with Caroline to love on her and say goodbye to her.. We are getting her cremated the dr took care of everything for us all the paperwork.. When we got ready to leave she hugged us all so tightly and told us, she was very sorry for our loss.. You can tell the staff are truly caring people that love there job and all the fur babies that come in there to see them..So again thank you staff members for loving our Caroline as much as we did!! I was extremely pleased with this vet. I'm new to the area and have tried out 3 other places before here and had issues with all 3. But the people here, including the front desk workers, the vet, and the assistant were all extremely kind and really seemed to love what they do. It's also fairly inexpensive compared to other places. My Bleu loved it here and so did I. Glad we finally found a permanent vet for him! Read Less

My fur babies have went to Plaza every since I was a child. As an adult I have a 9 year old and 2.5yr old baby that are patients as well as boarding clients. One will not find a more pleasant and caring group of people. When I take them in I know they will receive the highest quality of care and compassion. The staff absolutely love what they do and it shows with the way they handle my "children." I trust my fur faces are in a loving environment in their care. Dr. C is great with all my babies and thank goodness William is now recognized for all the work he does and Oh does he care for all the babies that come through that door. My family has been going to this animal hospital for 25+ years. We loved the now retired veterinarian and could not be happier with the new owners. I have a high-matienence dog, and they are always more than willing to answer any questions I may have or help us find the best treatment option for him. The staff is always friendly! There is not another animal hospital that I feel more comfortable leaving my babies with. We love Plaza Vet!!!!!! Read Less

This vet is a class act! The older gentleman vet that is here (sorry I don't remember his name) is very genuine and helpful. We brought our "baby" in here and he informed us she has cancer. We are devastated and he,  unlike many other places, had no interest in doing unnecessary tests that would cost us a lot of money just to get the same conclusion. We will continue to bring our other pets here for sure! Read Less

My dogs and cat have received nothing but the best of care from Dr. Cloninger and the staff at Plaza Vet. They go above and beyond all of my expectations when it comes to the care and treatment of my fur babies. They don't mind if you call and ask for advice while you try to decide whether a trip to see the doctor is in order. And are quick to get you in if you feel it necessary to see the doctor. William is great, he always tries to help with whatever dilemma we may be facing at the time. I usually ask to speak to him first, lol. But seriously, Plaza Vet is the best! I highly recommend them! Many vets will not allow you to be in the room when they are caring for your pet today. Plaza Veterinary has always been good about allowing us to see how our pet is being cared for first hand. Brutus (our chihuahua) is pretty picky when it comes to people and he seemed rather calm when Dr. Cloninger examined him. Of course William has always been good with our animals.Read Less

We started going to Plaza Veterinary Hspt in 2014. My Chow dog Luna-Jane had a torn ACL. Luna had her second ACL in September 2014 @ Plaza Vet. The entire staff where truly Amazing. They treated Luna like a Queen, and my husband and I like family. I've worked as a vet tech in, Md. for many years, but the staff there are truly an asset in life. It's so wonderful having all the Doctors there capable of meeting all of my and my Luna's expectations. Delina said she would help me post the ears if i bought my own supplies after the ears had healed on 3/26 i decided to board canela because i wanted to make sure her ears were on and they would help me repost so i wanted to make things fair and them not just helping me for free because they had no way to charge me for the re-posting. on 3/27 they helped me re-post with my supplies after Delina got off. i left my supplies there because i thought they were going to help me re-post. now this time line is going to fast fwd to when i asked for the supplies back while Delina and wicker weren't there on 3/29 i was treated like a begger. i heard the front office person get interrogated by the office manager about my supplies and the ethics of the helpful DR. and Delina. So i left and was then called back to say that they were sorry for the mix up. when i got there the office staff comes to the front desk and ask me what package i had them in. like i was trying to steal, i asked them to charge me to for the amount i needed. Fast fwd to today after spenind $1000 since 2/11/19 my dog has hookworms never missed a dose of heartgard or nextgard i have no idea how she has not been eating and has had the runs, when i placed my chewy order to get trifexis they informed me they no longer do the orders and i would have to fax it in i was due for prevention on 7/3/19 so i needed it faxed back so it would get here the following tue. so instead of wasting my money on a product that did not work i wanted to go with something else. hmmmm you would thin they would be willing to make sure i was helped but i was informed they want me to use their pharmacy... when the same product was $77 on chewy with 15 coupon and $133.00 with their pharmacy.. and why would i pay $56 dollars more for the same thing when chewy and stoney creek were more willing to help... I STILL HAVE 1996 POINT ON PET DESK IT IS A WASTE BECAUSE I WILL NEVER HAVE THEM TOUCH MY DOG ILL USES THEM FOR THEIR OVER PRICED RETAIL PRODUCTS $5 OFF. I purchased my doberman puppy on 2/10/19 prior to getting her i called all the local vets to check pricing for ear crops. when i spoke to Delina she said that her and Dr. wicker both owned Dobies and they would be more then willing to help with anything i needed but, they did not preform the surgery there and suggested stoney creek. Well stoney creek doesn't preform the surgery also. that was fine i found a vet in greensboro. on 3/5/19 canela had her crop per the surgery i was to bring her back on 3/8/19 so i called plaza to see if they could board and watch her while i went to work on 3/6 and 3/7. i was informed by practice manager i would have to pay for an "exam fee" on top of them taking down her ears which they could not re-post because they did not preform the surgery. on 3/22/19 after going to the surgeon on 3/8/19, 3/12/19, 3/14/19, 3/19/19 i was due to go back to the surgeon on 3/26/19. on 3/22/19 i smelled a horrible smell and saw brown stuff coming from her ears. i called the surgeon and they had no vet in the office that day i called Plaza and was told by the practice mangaer there is nothing they could do i needed to back to who preformed the surgery. i then went to "BURLINGTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL" CRYING!!! they were more then willing to help.. the tech there told me to go to my primary vet and they would have to take care of me. I then showed up and they did thank god for Dr. Wicker and Delina. they took down her ears and cleaned and gave me meds. The extended office hours are great because I don't have to take off of work to keep an appointment. Staff is ALWAYS friendly. Waiting room is never crowded and I suspect it's because of careful scheduling. It's a peaceful place to sit with an anxious animal. I like the fact they have an older vet with lots of experience and down to earth, country doctor common sense. They also have younger vets eager to keep up with new treatments and technology. This is going to be very hard to post!! We had our precious cat, Caroline for over 15 yrs.. This vet started treating her maybe 2-3 years ago cause it was a lot closer to our house as Caroline didn’t like to ride at all!! Well this past Thursday December 7, 2017.. My daughter had to rush her to the vet because she was having problems breathing.. See she had breast cancer a few yrs back and had surgery. We knew she had asthma, so we were thinking asthma attack.. Little did we know that the cancer had came back and spread to her heart and lungs.. The doctor and staff were so humbled to us. You could see the hurt in their eyes as much as they could see the pain we were facing..The staff aloud us all the time we needed with Caroline to love on her and say goodbye to her.. We are getting her cremated the dr took care of everything for us all the paperwork.. When we got ready to leave she hugged us all so tightly and told us, she was very sorry for our loss.. You can tell the staff are truly caring people that love there job and all the fur babies that come in there to see them..So again thank you staff members for loving our Caroline as much as we did!! They go above and beyond all of my expectations when it comes to the care and treatment of my fur babies. They don't mind if you call and ask for advice while you try to decide whether a trip to see the doctor is in order. And are quick to get you in if you feel it necessary to see the doctor.
