I had my 2 male cats, Booski and Ninja, neutered here Thursday &they're doing great. The clinic is under new management &my appt was not rescheduled. It took less than 10 days to get an appt, which was great because I was expecting a longer wait time like when u get pets fixed thru the humane society. But that wasnt the case. The employees here are very kind & explained everything well. They loved my Booski and said he's such a good cat. The male nurse that works here (not sure of his name) but he was so nice &he even helped me with my carriers to the car. Both my cats were given enough pain meds for 2 days. Though they seem to be pain free and are healing well. No bleeding or leaking. Running around like normal within 2 days. (I wont let them jump though as recommended). I was nervous at first to use the clinic because of the reviews on past management. But guys pls dont judge them based off that. New management makes a huge difference &I was very satisfied with this clinic and my 2 babies are doing well. And I no longer have to worry about them spraying or impregnating. They also gave them their rabies shots and capstars for fleas. Thanks you guys for taking good care of Booski and Ninja. I would've given 5 stars if the vet working there had introduced himself or spoken to me. But I unfortunately didnt get to meet him or her &I dont know their name. But he/she did a good job and I'm happy with their work. Update: I just recently had another male cat neutered here &once again a great job done. I would like to warn others though, if your cat is under a year old, please dont make him/her go without food for more than a couple hours before the procedure. I know most pets are told to stop all food &water after midnight. But younger pets will have lower sugar levels &their recovery will be harder..I didn't know this, so my little 8 month baby didn't get to eat after midnight so he was very slow to wake up &get moving after being neutered. The vet here was great at realizing the issue &getting my fur baby back on track. My kitty recovered well &another job well done at the spay neuter clinic. &They also must've valued my first review because this time the vet came out &spent time talking with me. They are supposed to be there to help people financially. I took in a homeless dog & got the humane society to give me a discount on spaying. I have 8 dogs. When I got there, they took me in an office & gave me a sales pitch. I agreed to pay for the rest of her shorts, which was $14.00 extra. They called me & said she was in stage 1 , either coming in or going out of heat & that it would be another $25.00. Then they said she had fleas, so they gave her a capstar, which would be another $5.00. I keep all of my pets on flea medication year round. I get it cheaper from eBay. I make $200.00 a week, along with a social security check that isn't enough to live on. I told them that I couldn't afford anything more than the shots, because I have so many pets that I take very good care of. After they spayed her, they called me and told me I would have to pay $44.00 more, because of the supposedly heat situation & for the capstar which I have at home. It is under new management. I've had many dogs spayed here, before. They didn't try to rip me off. I don't get upset easily, but right now my finances are short & I think they just try and rip people off. I called just a few moments ago with concerns regarding my English bulldog and without hesitation they made an appt for her first thing tomorrow. They were so nice and if the appointment making experience is this way, I feel very comfortable leaving my baby with them for her surgery. I will update this review after the procedure and just wanted to express my sincere and heartfelt thanks for helping me with my girl. UPDATE: I will be referring everyone I know to this facility for their outstanding care of my precious English bulldog. They were kind, very gentle and loving with my Gracie and because they went out of their way to help me get my concerns eased, they will have my loyalty with the ongoing care of both my Bulldogs. I took my cat there to get fixed, she ended having a problem and had to go back in and get refixed because it was something to do with when she was a baby her female parts didnt form right. The dr didnt bill me and did it free of charge. They us give instructions to take home. And pain meds and also told us when to give meds and also what times we had to give them to my cat. We love Dr. Doby and all of the staff at the clinic. Thank Goodness, there is finally affordable spay and neuter service available in Burlington, NC, again. I really liked that Dr. Doby took time to explain the take-home pain&inflammation medication. Everyone is super friendly and our male kittens came home happy and healthy. In fact, they think they got "tutored" , not neutered- lol. We are very pleased and happy to give a great review to caring, kind people and a great veterinarian. This is the most unreliable place I've ever seen and I don't recommend sending your animals here at all. while the ladies that work in the front are SUPER friendly (the only reason it even gets 1 star), the doctor is awful and I've never even met them. I tried to get my dog fixed here THREE times. They cancelled on me twice. The first time because the doctor apparently was sick and then again when the doctor apparently hurt his hand. My cousin received a call last week saying they had cancelled on her too. I got the feeling the doctor just had better things to do. The worst part was that I actually brought my dog in. THEY EVEN SEDATED HIM. Then called for me to come pick him up because they had to cancel. So I had a traumatized, sedated dog that didn't even get what he came there for. I don't know if the doctor is just a dud or if the whole place is jinxed but whatever it is, I will NOT be bringing any animals back. I initially chose it because it was a cheaper alternative to a vet's office. But money is no factor now. I don't trust this doctor with my animals and you shouldn't either. Read Less

I have been a property owner in Burlington for over 20 years. 10 years ago, I moved closer to my family in WI, but kept my house in Burlington, because I am not too far from retirement. I have had several parties taking care of the house for me, but this year I have become a target of the city, and I want to sell the property and get out of the hell hole that it is. I have gotten to assessments for a vacant property, stating that the grass has been too high and there is trash in the yard. I say this is BS, because I am there once a month. There has NEVER been any trash in the yard, other than after Hurricane Fran. Also, I cut the grass every time I am there, and a friend cuts it when I am not there. It has NEVER been over maybe 6 inches high. The city refuses to provide evidence of any high grass or trash in the yard. They say that I can come in and see the pictures, knowing damn well that I am not there more than a couple days over a weekend. Since they will not provide evidence, This tells me that there is no evidence,. They can expect to hear from my attorney concerning this second assessment, because they are full of crap. I know, because I have talked to other absentee owners, and they are getting the harassment from the city. I can't wait to rid myself of the property now, and stay in the Midwest, where I am from and people that work for the local municipalities aren't on a power kick.Read Less

I took my 6 month old Weimaraner here and it was the best choice! Mark at the front desk was very polite and answered all questions that I asked. It was a reasonable price. My puppy was wide open the next day which I tried my best not to let her, but it showed me she wasn't in that much pain. On one side you see dreams like your fancy house your nice banks , business , more places to choose from , an the other side East , you have many things all together on one road . That's where it becomes a trap when u ride down One road NORTH CHURCH Street and can see how things are set up and all together it's a little strange right ? Like for example night clubs near gas stations ... I know that's a little off topic but who ideal was that ? I'm sure someone thought of a way to gather a group of African Americans lets get them under the influence And let's keep one gas station open so when they leave the night club they can go a couple feet away a start drama . When I paid a deposit when I first moved to Burlington my account is paid, I don't owe them money but they said I would get my deposit back once my current house was shut off.
