I don't say this about TCAH as a whole, but my experience with them this past week was almost a complete disaster. One of the vets there came in to tell me after my dog had tests done and had symptoms of eating grapes off of my vine which include diarrhea, vomiting, lethargic, depressed, and loss of weight, that I should put her down. I asked is their any treatments that could be done and she told it was, but it would've cost me 1,200 or more to do. I told her that I was on a strict budget because I was on disability, but my benefits didn't start for another 4-6 week's and I could only afford around 400.00 at that time. Again she told me the best thing was to euthanize my 11/2 year old dog. Still not wanting to give up, I told her to give me some antibiotics and meds for nausea and the meds to reduce the toxic levels in her body. After paying 309.00, I took lady home and give her the meds, fed her chicken and rice, and made sure she hydrated herself. After about 3 days, lady is not only doing better, she's playing like normal and even chasing squirrels like she use to before getting sick. All I'm saying is, she needs to be careful about telling clients to euthanize their pets to soon because after her telling me their was no hope for lady, I almost took her advice when I didn't need to.
