Dr. Hodges has not paid her bills for the past 3 months and stiffed us for $1,500.  No wonder she went out of business.  Not the way to do business!

We have been taking our kitties to the Cat Clinic for so long I don't even remember when we first started! Dr. Jen and all her staff are friendly, professional, thorough and most of all very caring - not only about their patients, but their owners, too. When we finally had to say good-bye to our beloved 21-1/2 year old Mr. Snow, Dr. Jen came to the house to help him over the Rainbow Bridge. That speaks volumes about her and the entire staff! I have had the best experiences with the Cat Clinic of Cary! I have used their mobile vet a few times. They are super convenient. The vets show up and do exams, shots, and provide any additional care, all in the comfort of my own home. My two kitties hate the vet so they are absolutely thrilled that they have such a competent and attentive vet who will visit them at home. So nice to visit a vet clinic that really cares about the comfort as well as the health of the animals! Cat Clinic of Cary has always provided me with detailed accurate health records for my pets. They really go the extra mile! One time Dr. Jen even had me send photos of my cat's eye when she was off-duty so that she could diagnose him ASAP. Our house loves Dr. Jen and the Cat Clinic of Cary staff! Read Less

Our current three cats are consistently receiving first class medical veterinary treatment and we wouldn't think about bringing them anywhere else. Our last visit was today 8-12-2015 and we had a home visit for full annual checkups, shots, blood work, specimen samples and weight recordings. Our cats are so well treated and Dr Jen and her staff are terrific to work with. So if you need a vet for your cats, go see the best Vet Dr in Cary at the Cat Clinic of Cary. I cannot in good faith recommend this doctor. In the last few years the clinic and the care has diminished to the point of great concern. There is a lack of attention, and communication. I get told different things by staff and the doctor, and things were not being recorded on my cat's chart which interfered with their care (very concerning). It just feels like chaos from the time you walk in to the time you walk out, with being rushed, not given the opportunity to ask questions/speak up, and being constantly interrupted. An office visit takes literally a matter of three minutes. Dr. Jenn seems VERY incredibly rushed and unfocused. The clinic itself doesn't feel clean, has an odor and desperately needs a facelift. I greatly admire Dr. Jenn's involvement in the community, Willy's Facebook page, and her rescue efforts but the bottom line is.... I expect that same level of care/attention for my fur babies, and I can confidently say I do not believe they will receive it here. The attention has shifted from patient care to branding/marketing an image, and ultimately I think it will be the demise of this clinic. Read Less

Every interaction with CCC has been great! Over the last 8 years our 2 current cats have had the best care possible. Always right on time, and always willing to see them right away if really needed, even if it's a busy day for them. For each visit I feel I've been given as much information as possible about any conditions they have had over the years. Any treatments or blood work suggested are appropriate in my opinion. I always get a call back the next day after a visit with them checking on how my babies are. Our previous 2 cats also had the same above great care and lived long healthy lives with their help. Stay away from this place if you want your cat to stay alive. Our cat swallowed a string, which we did not know at the time. He began to vomit frequently so we took him to the CCC. After doing a physical (which included opening his mouth) the vet stated that it was impossible to tell what was wrong and she offered two treatment options: one more conservative and the other more aggressive (also more expensive, close to $500). I decided to go with the conservative treatment, hoping it was just food poisoning. They gave him fluids and an anti acid and told me to bring him back in the morning if he was not better. Our cat only got worse overnight. It was breaking my heart to watch him suffer so. The following morning I decided to take him to another cat clinic, which was further away but had amazing rating and reviews. It took a minute for the other vet to see that there was a string wrapped around his tongue. I could not believe that CCC missed this! Our cat had to suffer whole other day because he was not checked properly. He ended up having a surgery to remove the string. I spoke with the CCC vet afterward and basically just got some lame excuse that the string was not there when she checked our cat and that it came up from his stomach because of him continuing to vomit. I do not believe this to be possible because the string was wrapped around his tongue.I will never step my foot inside CCC  and I would not recommend it to anyone! Read Less

My elderly cat was at the end of his lifespan of 15years. I had a feeling it was time to put him down and I was prepared to do so. Cary cat clinic (ccc) wanted to order a panel of lab tests to determine his issue. I disagreed with their evaluation and I felt they made me feel like a bad owner or something. I left, went to another vet who agreed that at this stage it may be best to put him down but I would have to make that final call and I did. I will always miss my beloved cat. Go with your gut feeling. Also, there were 0 seats for paying clients. The front desk staff said the chairs were for the cats. There were a limited amount of chairs in the waiting area. We took our hair ball of a cat here to get him shaved because he was leaving enough hair around the house to make another cat.  We just recently moved here within the last few months from Myrtle Beach.  There we paid $60, which I thought was ridiculous, but I didn't want to shave him myself (on account of having tried once and not having a positive experience) so we sucked it up and had him shaved every few months.  So, our cat really needed it and he was getting matted up so my wife made him an appointment.  I dropped the cat off on the way to work and the charge was $97!!!!!  I really didn't have time to take the cat back home, and he desperately needed the cut, so I went ahead and let him get cut there and planned to find somewhere else next time.  I should say - the lady at the front desk was very, very nice.  Anyhow, I had my dad pick up the cat because he has nothing better to do during the day and we were at work.  When we got home we discovered that our cat was BUTCHERED.  I have never seen a worse cut on any of God's creatures.  The poor guy was shaved to the skin in some places and I'm surprised he wasn't bleeding.  I can't speak to the quality of their vet services, but their cat grooming services are terrible and far, far overpriced. Years ago, this was a great place -- back around 2000 or so. Then we used CCC again in 2007 and 2008 and it had changed dramatically. The vets were all different and it was a like a completely different place. Before the vet had been very knowledgable and could give me at least an idea what was likely the problem right away. But now they don't seem to know anything without lots of testing. Whenever I asked for an estimate of what all this testing would cost, it always cost much more when we were done -- since they hadn't added in the exam charges and this and that. There was even a time when they charged a $10 or $15 "prescription charge", but that went away after the customers complained so much. I felt terrible when my cat was old and very sick and they couldn't give me any idea of his prognosis without going through the whole testing thing. When I tried to ask probing questions to see if my cat even had a chance, they made me feel like I was trying to write my cat off. The vet showed no compassion at all. They previous vet (years ago) had been so compassionate. Now we have two wonderful kittens we got from a shelter, but I will not go back to CCC. Read Less

Avoid this place.  About 4 years ago our male cat had a urinary tract infection, and they basically said "if you don't do ~$400 worth of stuff right now, he could die today"  This sat uncomfortably with us, but we didn't want for our cat to die..... so we went ahead and bit the bullet and had his procedures done. The next week we went to a small veterinary office near our house to basically get a post-procedure 2nd opinion.  Dr Graham, who owns Lake Wheeler Veterinary, told us that he would not have died, and that we just needed to give him some simple medications that amounted to about $50.  In fact, he had another urinary tract infection about a year later and we did just that..... with Dr. Graham of course.Highly recommend Lake Wheeler Veterinary..... definitely stay away from the Cat Clinic of Cary.
