We have used the services of Falconbridge and Village Vet since 2006. They have always been professional and kind with our pets and with us. Recently we had to put our rescue dog of 11 plus years down. The staff and vets could not have been more compassionate and caring. They took care of our hamsters including boarding for trips and end of life care, so when we adopted a new puppy, we automatically brought him to Falconbridge for all his care. I love village veterinary hospital. Friendly and professional staff. All the veterinarians are great. My kitty loves Dr. Reeves and Dr. Virgil especially but, all the vets are wonderful. We used to go to Village Vet because it was close to our home. My parents' dog got ill - she was lethargic, stiff, limping, and wouldn't eat. When we brought her to Village Vet, the most they would say is that she was depressed about not being the alpha dog anymore. Dominance theory such as this is outdated and scientifically unsound, which is the last thing you want from a vet! Not to mention that "she's sad she's not the alpha" is hardly a helpful diagnosis. They dismissed my father's worries about her having a tick-borne disease.When we went to Cole Park Vets for a second opinion, they performed a more thorough examination for a cheaper price. They diagnosed her with tick-borne disease and prescribed a medicine that began working the next day.Even while we were at CPVH, I was disappointed with Village Vets' service. We had had bloodwork done for the dog at Village Vets, and were trying to get the records to CPVH so they could look it over. The information VV provided was confusing to all of us and not what was needed (a list of vaccines, with a confusing mix of "last given on" and "due on this date" without mentioning which was which - we wanted the results of the bloodwork, not vaccine info!). VV failed to get the information to CPVH in the entire time we were there (granted, we didn't wait long or feel like we were being stalled - but it was a thorough examination!). We are switching all our animals to a friendlier place.Even my initial impression of VV is that it is small and cramped. Some of the staff is kind, but some members are bordering on rude and disrespectful. The "training advice" we were offered (without asking for it) was severely outdated as well. Would not recommend. I bring my pet rabbit here and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. Dr.Reeves and her staff have gone above and beyond to help us with our pet. Don't go here.  Find another vet!This visit was a complete failure:After the Vet Tec dragged my 15yr old dog down the hall harshly by her leash, then hit her front paw with the door, then closed the door on her hip, I asked the Vet Tec to please be more gentle with the old girl. Instead of recognizing her mistake(s), the Vet Tec took offense that I was "accusing her of abusing my dog,"  asked me to take my records and go somewhere else.  While the vet was apologizing, the Vet Tec then told me to, "go screw."  To make matters worse, the owner, who is also a vet, prescribed the wrong dosage of meds, though the appropriate dose was in her records.  Too busy to look at the records I guess.Note, this location is affiliated with Falconbridge Animal Hospital. I have a vet office 4 miles from my house, but I drive 25 minutes to get to Village Vet. They are FANTASTIC. Caring, knowledgeable, available, flexible. I actually ENJOY going to the vet! I cannot say enough about the staff at Village Vet and the care they provide. They are affordable, kind and great caregivers and diagnosticians. I have taken my animals there since we moved to the area three years ago, and I have never had anything but pleasant and professional experiences. Most recently we had to have our dog put to sleep, and in addition to kleenexes and kind words, our vet took the time to send a very sweet condolences card. Read Less
