4 Seasons Cat Hospital

Charlotte, North Carolina
General Info
Four Seasons Cat Hospital in Charlotte highlights intricate body positions and subtle movements as the main points of their concentration. In this care model, every detail serves as a cue: a tail that descends when calm or a step back signaling “reset.” Everything starts with a spatial read: how the dog distributes its weight, how often its eyes dart, and whether its tail moves smoothly or hesitantly. Staff members adjust their stands based on their readings (diagonally rather than directly if the latter causes tension) and replace vocal cues with pauses when animals are over-attuned. The first set of tools stays in the pet’s visual field to ensure habitualization. 4 Seasons Cat Hospital provides integrated diagnostics, surgical consultations, pain monitoring, sensory response care, and targeted mobility rehabilitation. Every treatment protocol adapts in the process of its application. When the pet becomes flat or avoids the gaze, rhythmic steps are performed to calm it down (the so-called anchoring). Aftercare plans for owners shed light on extending hands in arcs to the sides with movement contrast (aftercare) into routines (faces). This ensures that the behavior and habits remain steady while homecare routines run at their normal pace. 4 Seasons Cat Hospital offers more than medical treatment to the families in Charlotte and pet owners across North Carolina by interacting at a pace and level that both parties are comfortable with, reading the inaudible cues. Services at 4 Seasons Cat Hospital encompass Livestock/farm animal care, Dental care, Cardiology, Hospice and palliative care, Prescription medicine, Laboratory, Behavioral counseling, Internal medicine, Physical therapy and Reptiles. This variety enables local pet owners in Charlotte and the surrounding areas to access a wide range of services, from standard checkups to cutting-edge procedures. The clinic strives to be a trusted presence within the greater Charlotte region by offering services that ensure a pet’s lifelong well-being and comfort.

I was so glad to find Dr. Moses. Everyone was very helpful and showed me how to do the glucose testing on my cats ear so I can chart his numbers. Also took time with me to explain the best food choices for his condition and noticed that he is probably dealing with neuropathy and gave me a prescription to help deal with that. Very thorough. I would never go back to 4 seasons. They discharged my cat while he still had bloody urine, disobeying the most basic criteria of removing the catheter from a cat with urinary blockage. You don't need lab analysis to tell if a cat's urine is running bloody, right? I understand that Moses may want to cut my cost since I stated that I'm not rich. But at least, basic guidelines please? I clearly said that I would wait for the doctor's judgement on whether my cat need hospitalization for more time. But they called me that evening, less than 6 hours of catheterization, telling me my cat was doing fine and ready to go home. My cat blocked again immediately and went back to urgent care and then an emergency center for hospitalization. Guess what, the bill at the urgent care was cheaper than Moses'. The nurses were much more professional. The doctors were much more willing to explain. Until I went to urgent care and emergency did I noticed that the nurse at Moses' did not even check my cat's pulse and temperature and so on the first thing. They even wanted to charge $20 for shaving for IV. They wanted me to inject my cat with painkiller on my own for 10 days but only gave me two syringes. They did not even tell me to give my cat a e collar to prevent him licking and thus further infection. I don't even remember Moses' face because she showed up for so short of time. Now my cat may face the PU surgery because this twice blockage and twice catheter in a week. I hope not. I was excited to be referred to this feline specialized doctor by my old vet. However, it turns out catastrophic for my cat and my family. This hospital cares more about money than cats. I clearly know that I'm not rich. I did not have the confidence to afford the cost the day I was at 4 seasons. But I don't want my cat die. But, but, but, shouldn't the doctors know better when to discharge a patient? Should it be when the patient is still having blood in the urine??????? Can I say I hate this hospital, which causes more pain instead of healing?????? Read Less

4 Seasons Cat Hospital is the best! They have saved my kitty's life. My kitty was very sick for over a year and other vets didn't do anything to determine what was wrong with him and the run of the mill bloodwork they did do was reported to us incorrectly. We took our kitty to 4 Seasons and they sent bloodwork off to Texas and did exploratory surgery which assisted them in identifying two separate diseases. After giving him the correct medication, he is doing great now!!! I would highly recommend this practice. Read Less

After a week with the local vet and our cat getting worse we headed to 4 Seasons.  After blood work and a short exam Dr Moses identified the problem.  With the proper medications we had our cat back and acting like her old self.  We now travel the three hours for regular check ups on our two cats.  We know that if it hadn't been for  Dr Moses, we would have lost our cat.  The staff always follows each visit up with a phone call to make sure everything is o.k. after the trip and to see if we have any questions. They helped me so much last summer...the first time I ever went to them I had one cat with an extremely bad UTI and one cat who had hurt his foot and it just wouldn't get better. Turns out the reason his foot wouldn't get better is because he had cancer. I was in their office at least once a week with him for 6 weeks until it was his time to cross the rainbow bridge. 3 good stars, not 3 bad stars... I can't say YAY I am a fan, but I believe the practice is a good one, I will just be returning to my old vet.The vet that I have been taking the cats to for years (that I LOVE) is in Matthews and I am in Southpark now.  Little cat cries woefully during all car rides, so I wanted to try to find a closer vet.  As you can see, the reviews for this practice are wonderful.  Because they do not have weekend hours, I took both cats on the same day for their annual exams so I wouldn't miss too much work.  The cats do not like each other, with the older one being as mean as a junkyard dog.  She also likes to hiss, growl and bite once she has had her fill of nonsense.  The staff did a fair job of restraining her while doing some tests. As a spinster cat-lady that loves her cats, I had a hard time watching them try to wrestle urine samples from both and quite honestly I left the hour-long appointment a nervous wreck. Dr. Moses and staff are VERY thorough.  With very thorough comes a very thorough price tag.  When comparing similar tests and shots between her and my old vet, 4 Seasons was higher (sometimes substantially) on all tests.  When getting a quote to have little ones teeth cleaned, 4 Seasons was double what my old vet charges.  More services may come with that price, but I really just need to have clean teeth for the cat.  As someone who is just a middle-class gal trying to keep her cats alive and healthy, they were really too expensive for me to return to.The experience was like comparing your new boyfriend to an ex that you still are in love with.  I love my old vet and was only trying someone else because of their proximity to my home.  I think Dr. Moses is a good vet and she was very prompt with lab results and follow-up.  The staff was also friendly and helpful.  The appointment was just much more stressful than my time in the past with my previous vet, and as a cat-only practice I thought it would be the exact opposite.  Overall, I think this is a good practice if you have the funds and the time for it. Pros - they are cat-only and they do take CareCredit.   Cons - no weekend hours and costly. Read Less

This morning while eating breakfast our 18 year old cat Decker checked in to see what was on the menu. The older Decker gets the more he looks like a kitten mainly from the weight loss due to his numerous ailments. Through it all, Decker continues to have a good appetite and is a content and pleasingly social cat. It truly is a miracle as you will read in Decker's story below! This is Decker's story. Several years ago Decker was nothing more than skin and bones and in serious decline. After months of numerous tests and attempts to treat Decker by our previous Veterinary facility we did not know where to turn. It was a costly and frustrating experience. It was also very obvious to my wife and I that Decker was going to die if we didn't do something about his condition soon. Then, the most amazing thing happened. My wife Kathryn was sharing Decker's story with a customer at work that told her about a place called 4 Seasons Cat Hospital and how they specialized in Cats. We immediately made an appointment and after only 1 visit there Dr. Moses effectively diagnosed Decker's problems and started him on a treatment plan that worked. My wife and I would like to personally thank Dr. Moses and her staff at 4 Seasons Cat Hospital for putting Decker on a treatment plan that has extended the quality of his life far more then my wife and I could have ever imagined. I will never bring my cats here again!  This doctor tends to want to make as much money as possible, running all kinds of tests, and consulting you after the tests are done.  I never had a vet before want to always do give blood test and other tests when my cats are fine!!!  The last straw is when my cat was fidgeting while getting a blood test done in front of me.  The doctor said that she will do the test in another room because the cat will behave better without me there (why did I fall for this).  I brought my cat home that day and noticed that he was limping in one leg, I realized that something must of happened when she brought him in the back room. i called and told them about this and they denied that he could of been hurt while they were restraining him.  It took him 6 months for him to stop limping.  Beware, do not ever let them take your pet in the back room, and make sure that if any tests are done that they ask you first, before they proceed. I love 4 Seasons Cat Hospital. I have taken my cats to several other vets around the area, but I had never really been totally satisfied with the veterinary care my cats received until we came here. Dr. Moses and her staff are very caring and gentle with my cats, and I totally trust Dr. Moses when it comes to diagnosis and treatment. She is also very patient with me and answers all my questions to my complete satisfaction! I never feel ill at ease when I have to leave a cat with her because I know they are in good hands. I also recently began having 2 of my long haired cats groomed here when they get their annual lion cuts in the late spring. One of them is a big hissy girl, bites and scratches and fights, and she has to be totally knocked out before she is groomed, and Dr. Moses uses sevoflurane gas for anesthesia, which is much safer for the cats than other anesthetics that vets often use. She also uses the safest vaccines available for cats. The whole place is very clean, and when a cat has surgery he/she recovers in a quiet room, in a heated recovery cage, in a fleece sleeping bag! It's only cats and so there are no dogs here to scare my cats, which is very important also since my cats were not raised with dogs; the cats are already frightened from being in unfamiliar territory after a long car ride, and the last thing they want to face is a dog sniffing around their carrier. I always recommend 4 Seasons and Dr. Moses to everyone with cats, and especially if a cat has a medical problem. Read Less

Not impressed!!! I called to have my kitten altered and declawed. ( Normally I wouldn't declaw my cats but he is an indoor cat and extremely destructive, scratching posts and all.) I was quoted an insane amount of money over the phone by the owner, Dr. Moses but I agreed, excited to find a feline only practice. I brought my kitten in early the next morning for the surgeries, dropped him off and went to work. An hour later, I received a call from the receptionist telling me that they would not perform the surgery unless I agreed to a rabies shot and other boosters. ( He was given all of necessary shots when I adopted him.) I reluctantly agreed--they already had him there and I felt as though I was forced into it. My main concern was my kitten would be undergoing an exuberant amount of treatment unnecessarily. I told them he was an indoor only cat, he didn't need all of those shots! My original quote on the phone was bull. I felt like I was being milked after that phone call. When I went back the next day to pick up my kitten, I went to pay with my American Express card. I was informed they don't accept Amex. (Bad sign right there, they are too cheap to pay the fees!) So I gave them my Debit card. The total was well over $600 and I didn't have enough in my checking account to cover it. I told them I could give them half and figured they would bill me for the remainder. Nope. Dr. Moses told me she would hold on to my cat until I came back with the money. (5:00 on a Friday night) I was so livid at that point. I called my daughter and told her how to transfer money from one of my accounts into the other. I went right back in there and paid, I cannot believe they were going to hold my cat hostage and make me go all the way home ( I live in SC, not around the corner!) The vet, Dr. Moses has a severe attitude problem and is running a money mill, not a cat hospital. Her prices are ludicrous, her attitude is atrocious and her policies are ridiculous. She lost a client, I will never ever ever bring any of my cats there again! Read Less

Read Less

4 Seasons is an excellent place to take your kitty for health care.  The entire staff is very welcoming and helpful, and Dr. Moses is a wonderful veterinarian (she even called after hours to give me the report on my cat's blood work!)My cat had been a stray, so she was far from comfortable being restrained for her blood work and nail trimming - but the doctor and nurses did a great job (despite her howling!)  They also provided us with flea/heart worm/ear mite medication and free samples of "dental care" treats.I definitely recommend 4 Seasons to any cat owner in South Charlotte.  Love those two beautiful Maine Coons who hang out in the waiting area, too! I love this hospital. Dr. Moses and her staff really love cats and the whole environment is friendly, warm, cat oriented and peaceful. They only treat cats so they are specialists, very important. The absence of barking dogs is a huge relief for cats I realized, but hadn't thought of before. Dr. Moses was quick to diagnose my beloved black cat Forrest with a terminal illness and handled the whole issue with kind grace and directness. They understood how attached I was to him and made his passing as gentle as could be. I cannot express how grateful I am to Dr Moses and her wonderful staff.  So glad I found this hospital for the sake of my healthy 13 year old cat who now is calm going for check ups.Thank you Dr. Moses and staff!

Read Less
