My pets are my treasure and Dr Rubin and his staff know it. They have cared for my cats and dogs since I moved into my house over 20 years ago. I never want to lose them. I didn't realise it when my dog Sam had lung cancer. Dr Rubin came, picked him up and took him back to their clinic, sedated him because his teeth needed cleaning then took X-rays because he knew something else was wrong. I lost Sam that night but God took him. When my Golden Retriever, E. Lee had to be put to sleep Dr Rubin sat on the back of his truck for three hours with me in the rain because I couldn't let go of the fact that E. Lee was gone to Heaven. He sedated him twice over I'm sure the norm but still, he loved E. Lee too. He told me of all the dogs I had my Goldie was his favourite. He's a busy man but takes the time with we people to explain what's going on. I'm phobic about my pets. His staff is great. Laura has been with him the longest. If you need a compassionate animal hospital then you can't find one any better than them. I drive them crazy sometimes. Thank God, they put up with me. When my cat, Sweet Pea had Feline Leukemia, Dr Rubin kept her alive more years past her nine lives with an FDA approved vaccine for cats who haven't been vaccinated for this. It's called LTCI. I don't understand why there aren't more reviews for AHCC. They are caring, knowledgeable, reliable, and communicate well regarding costs of their services. Dr Rubin has been more than understanding when explaining options and costs relating to my pets, conditions, and results. I have had emergencies, pet deaths, as well as normal visits for at least 10 years and 7 pets, and Dr Rubin has always been the best vet for them. Read Less

Dr. Rubin and his staff have taken care of all of the pets in my family for over 25 years. Animal Health Care Center is everything you could want in a veterinary office - I know when I bring my dogs that I'm putting them in the best hands possible. Rat Baby came into my office for a 2nd opinion for a lump on her abdomen. It had been diagnosed previously as a mammary tumor. An x-ray of her chest showed a mass in her chest. The x-rays were sent to a Board Certified surgeon (at no additional cost to the client) for an opinion which was as follows: "This could easily be a metastatic disease. The other possibility is mineralization from an old chronic lesion. If the owners wish to pursue, we would recommend full cancer workup (bloods, abdominal ultrasound, mammary mass cytology) and if indicated a lung lobectomy for biopsy." The client was given the x-rays and this report to get a 3rd opinion. I am happy that Rat baby's mass turned out not to be a malignant mammary tumor, however I did nothing inappropriate regarding her treatment. Read Less

In 2007 Dr Rubin told me my cat had cancer and 3 months to live. When I requested the xrays and paper work to take to another doctor for a 2nd opinion. Dr Rubin told me that I got a 2nd opinion when he sent the xrays to he specialist for review and that I didn't need a 3rd because my cat would be dead in 3 to 4 weeks....
