I took my dog on a Saturday afternoon after he had just been bitten by a copperhead snake. I had not been here before but no one else was open. We called and they were booked all day but said to come by and they would see him immediately. They were very nice and wanted to help and pushed us up time wise because they already had other appointments and were just helpful. The staff were friendly, they knew what they were doing and just handled our emergency well. The doctor knew what was going on and was very informative and detailed. I appreciate people like this. They went out of their way to help on a Saturday and were completely professional. I needed a new vet. I just found one.

Wonderful experience everytime I've been here. We were here in April to get a shot and Dr. Hay was so sweet and patient with our dog. We were back in their office this past Monday because our dog was presenting UTI symptoms. Dr. Hay was again sweet and patient with her while examining her. He explained everything to me and sent us on our way with antibiotic. So far she seems back to normal. They also have a staff person call the next day to make sure everything is ok or to see if you have any questions which is a nice touch. I actually tried to switch to a new vet office only because they are a little far from my house but I keep coming back here for any needs I have. Thank you for your caring staff!

Professional and caring doctors and staff at every visit. Providence Animal Hospital has provided excellent care, advice and diagnostics for two of my cats. Patient #one lived to 20+ years of age and Dr. Elliott and staff were supportive and compassionate when his quality of life deteriorated to the point that euthanasia became the humane decision. Dr. Murray has provided well appointments/check-ups for patient #two. Dr. Bonaquisti saw patient #2 in order to evalute her condition and diagnosis after an emergency room visit and over night treatment. He communicated with the emergency vet, and gave me good advice as to when my cat's treatment would best be served in the emergency/24/7 hospital with its ready access to high tech diagnostic equipment. I
highly recommend Providence Animal Hospital. You can trust them with your pet's life.

I have a 2 year old pure bread Holland lop bunny. Dr. Bonaquisti is knowledgeable, thorough, careful, and gentle when examining her - great bunny vets are hard to find! I feel confident bringing her here for check ups and whenever she has a problem. The techs are also very friendly and highly capable. The front desk staff also quickly acquired her records from her previous vet in Raleigh which helped with the continuation of her care - great customer service!

The other day was the first time we had used Providence Animal Hospital and we were extremely satisfied with their customer service toward us, and the care and dental treatment our Dottie received.
Our Dottie is very shy and scares easily, the staff at Providence Animal Hospital took extra time to allow her to get used to them, which we appreciated.
Dr. Hay thoroughly explained everything to us, he even called the next day to check up on Dottie. We appreciated getting photos of her mouth/teeth in our take home packet.
Highly recommend!

I'm wondering since you guys lost Shadow, the white Coton du Tulear on July 13, why wouldn't you post on this page? Notify your customers so they are on the lookout and get your staff involved for the last 17 days? Why haven't you hired dog trackers, or pet search companies? What exactly are you doing to help find this dog? I never even met this dog but have been involved in the search from the beginning. Taking time off from my job and family because it's the right thing to do! I can assure you, my dogs won't ever visit your hospital and I can also assure you, you will never be recommended by me. Utterly disappointed. Posting a couple of flyers and looking for two days is not enough. This is an innocent living being. Step up and help!!!

I can't say enough nice things about Dr. Hay and the entire staff at Providence Road Vet and Assoc. Our 2yr old silver lab recently had to have exploratory stomach surgery to remove a blockage. Thankfully they found the culprit and removed and we're happy to say Lincoln is well on his way to a full recovery. Dr Hay and the staff were truly concerned for our dog and made us feel as calm as one can be going thru that situation. They kept us informed and led us thru a logical plan that eventually led to the surgery. Our dog is here today because of the care shown Lincoln by Dr Hay and his staff. We are forever grateful and have and will be back for regular care as well. I would add that they now offer boarding services and as I write this Lincoln is enjoying his second stay there, due to a short notice family emergency which they were able to take him right in. What a better place to feel comfortable your pet is getting the right care and accommodations than at the veterinary office where his life was saved! Big Thanks to all involved with Lincoln. You are all the best!!!

I can't say enough good things about Providence Veterinary. The doctors and staff really care about the well being of your pet, and it shows. My dog Rusty had cancer in his jaw and had major surgery. Dr Meeks and Dr. Elliot went above and beyond in his care, calling and checking up on him and making sure he was doing well. Mulitple post surgery check ups, all included in the price of the surgery. Unfortunately, the cancer came back along with other complications and we sadly had to put our sweet boy down (he was 12 years old). During that process, everyone was so caring and attentive to us. We were able to say good bye privately in a back room that they have in their practive. A week later we received a card from the practice which was such a nice touch. The cost of Rusty's care in the final months was costly, but the practice allowed us to do a payment plan and were so accomodating to ensure that it wasn't a huge financial burden. If you're looking for a great place with exceptional care I highly recommend the doctor's at Providence Veterinary.

Providence is the most expensive Vet in south Charlotte. Did fine work but quoted me 308.00 for a standard procedure but ended up charging me 410.00 because they said they misheard me when they quoted me the price. Even without that the are very costly. These are the most expensive guys around and are no better. I don't mind paying more if I get more but there service and facilities are just average. If it is anything routine save yourself 20% and go to one of the other good vets around that aren't way over priced.

Providence Veterinary Associates has alway been my choice for my animals, Dr. Weeks being the Vet I am most familiar with. Aside from any serious illness that my pet might be suffering, it is always a pleasure to walk into a state of the art, immaculate facility and see the smiling faces of all of the staff. Everyone is friendly, patient and professional in every aspect of a visit. Dr Weeks has treated my pets for surgery and on a regular basis for as long as he has been in practice and I have complete confidence in him and his staff to diagnose and treat my pets with expert care. I highly recommend Providence Veterinary Associates and their staff to anyone considering a Veterinary Professional.

I have been taking my dogs to Providence Veterinary Associates since they opened their doors in 1993. At that time there was only one vet, Dr.Weeks. Obviously, as the practice grew, Dr. Boniquisti and Dr. Elliott came on board. Since I've known Dr. Weeks the longest, he is my first choice when making appointments. But things come up and I've had my dogs treated by the other vets. They have always received excellent treatment. Each of the vets have different personalities and it sounds like ncbonitachica was used to Dr. Elliott's effervescent personality. Dr. Boniquisti has a more clinical approach to treating your pets. I would and do trust each of these vets with my dog's life. As for the rest of the staff, they are all caring and consumate professionals. Also, I don't care if they fed my dog filet mignon, he still wouldn't think it would be fun going to the vets. He does appreciate the luvs he gets while he's there!

Providence Veterinary Associates has been taking care of my three pets all their lives, and they've only been seen by Dr. Bonacquisti. They have had better care all these years than I have received at times from some of my medical doctors! (I only wish Dr. Bonacquisti practiced human medicine!) He's is thorough, professional, and patiently answers all of my questions. He has brought my cat and dogs through some serious health issues -- including trauma injuries, neurological problems, and a heart condition. I'm not sure what the other reviewer experienced -- my pets have never had a need to be muzzled. Then again, my pets don't try to bite the doctor. And they love being up and down on things like our bed and sofa at home, so naturally they're fine with the exam table at the vet. (I can't even imagine asking the doctor to crawl around on the floor to examine a dog while the dog tries to bite him!) Our veterinary visits with Dr. Bonacquisti have never been anything but pleasant for me and my pets. I have never been less than fully satisfied with the services he and the staff have consistently provided to my pets and my family. I would never trust my pets with anyone else!

I moved to the Charlotte area about 6 months ago and needed a vet. A neighbor told me to give her vet a try. I needed to board my dog and his vaccines were not current so I gave her vet's office a call. I was very impressed on how helpful the receptionist on the phone was by getting all of my dogs records from my vet in Charleston and letting me know what she needed to be boarded. When my dog usually went to the vet she was always scared to death, sometimes even had to be sedated. The assistants talked so sweetly to her she didn't seem to know she was at the vet. Dr Weeks was great with her . My experience was great knowing I didn't have to have her sedated because everyone made her feel so happy. This office made my dog leave with her tail wagging and a chew treat, not realizing she had just been at the vet. Two weeks later, a coworker had a litter of kittens dropped off in her property. I adopted one and took it straight to the vet. I did not have an appointment. They were very good about working me into their schedule. I just had the kitten neutered and declawed a few weeks ago by Dr Bonaquisti and I can't believe how well my kitten did after the surgery. I had another cat declawed years ago and it took a LONG time to overcome that trauma. Dr Bonaquisti did a fantastic job. I am glad my neighbor told me about this office.

I recently visited Providence Veterinary for my dog to recieve her yearly check up. Normally I see Dr. Laura Elliott and she is excellent with my dog. Well my last visit I had Dr. Joseph Bonacquisti which I felt either has been over worked or doesn't want to be in this line of business. I felt my visit was very rushed and he didnt spend adequate time with my dog to make her feel that coming to the vet is a good experience. My dog was muzzled immediately (she wasnt showing any signs of aggression i.e. snapping, growling, etc.). She was acting like any normal dog that didnt understand why the table was moving up. Here's a thought: you can always exam the dog on the floor 60lb dogs shouldnt be on tables anyways! I feel in order to build a relationship with the dog so they understand that going to the vet is a favorable experience more time should be spent paying attention to the dog. I dont even think a treat was offered. Instead now my dog has this horrible perception of the vet. Shots, therometers in uncomfortable places, muzzles, etc. So rather than just complaining about this I am also changing vets. I dont appreciate spending large amounts of money for my dog and I to feel we recieved nothing except pain. Other than our experience with Dr. Bonacquisti the rest of the staff is wonderfull. That's why I gave 2 stars.

Wonderful experience everytime I've been here. We were here in April to get a shot and Dr. Hay was so sweet and patient with our dog. We were back in their office this past Monday because our dog was presenting UTI symptoms. Dr. Hay was again sweet and patient with her while examining her. He explained everything to me and sent us on our way with antibiotic. So far she seems back to normal. They also have a staff person call the next day to make sure everything is ok or to see if you have any questions which is a nice touch. I actually tried to switch to a new vet office only because they are a little far from my house but I keep coming back here for any needs I have. Thank you for your caring staff!

Professional and caring doctors and staff at every visit. Providence Animal Hospital has provided excellent care, advice and diagnostics for two of my cats. Patient #one lived to 20+ years of age and Dr. Elliott and staff were supportive and compassionate when his quality of life deteriorated to the point that euthanasia became the humane decision. Dr. Murray has provided well appointments/check-ups for patient #two. Dr. Bonaquisti saw patient #2 in order to evalute her condition and diagnosis after an emergency room visit and over night treatment. He communicated with the emergency vet, and gave me good advice as to when my cat's treatment would best be served in the emergency/24/7 hospital with its ready access to high tech diagnostic equipment. I

I have a 2 year old pure bread Holland lop bunny. Dr. Bonaquisti is knowledgeable, thorough, careful, and gentle when examining her - great bunny vets are hard to find! I feel confident bringing her here for check ups and whenever she has a problem. The techs are also very friendly and highly capable. The front desk staff also quickly acquired her records from her previous vet in Raleigh which helped with the continuation of her care - great customer service!

The other day was the first time we had used Providence Animal Hospital and we were extremely satisfied with their customer service toward us, and the care and dental treatment our Dottie received.
Our Dottie is very shy and scares easily, the staff at Providence Animal Hospital took extra time to allow her to get used to them, which we appreciated.
Dr. Hay thoroughly explained everything to us, he even called the next day to check up on Dottie. We appreciated getting photos of her mouth/teeth in our take home packet.
Highly recommend!

I'm wondering since you guys lost Shadow, the white Coton du Tulear on July 13, why wouldn't you post on this page? Notify your customers so they are on the lookout and get your staff involved for the last 17 days? Why haven't you hired dog trackers, or pet search companies? What exactly are you doing to help find this dog? I never even met this dog but have been involved in the search from the beginning. Taking time off from my job and family because it's the right thing to do! I can assure you, my dogs won't ever visit your hospital and I can also assure you, you will never be recommended by me. Utterly disappointed. Posting a couple of flyers and looking for two days is not enough. This is an innocent living being. Step up and help!!!

I can't say enough nice things about Dr. Hay and the entire staff at Providence Road Vet and Assoc. Our 2yr old silver lab recently had to have exploratory stomach surgery to remove a blockage. Thankfully they found the culprit and removed and we're happy to say Lincoln is well on his way to a full recovery. Dr Hay and the staff were truly concerned for our dog and made us feel as calm as one can be going thru that situation. They kept us informed and led us thru a logical plan that eventually led to the surgery. Our dog is here today because of the care shown Lincoln by Dr Hay and his staff. We are forever grateful and have and will be back for regular care as well. I would add that they now offer boarding services and as I write this Lincoln is enjoying his second stay there, due to a short notice family emergency which they were able to take him right in. What a better place to feel comfortable your pet is getting the right care and accommodations than at the veterinary office where his life was saved! Big Thanks to all involved with Lincoln. You are all the best!!!

We were not disappointed. The staff was so sweet and delicate in handling the matter, consoling me as I cried to them about our situation, and they even sent us a card in the mail a few days later.

I can't say enough good things about Providence Veterinary. The doctors and staff really care about the well being of your pet, and it shows. My dog Rusty had cancer in his jaw and had major surgery. Dr Meeks and Dr. Elliot went above and beyond in his care, calling and checking up on him and making sure he was doing well. Mulitple post surgery check ups, all included in the price of the surgery. Unfortunately, the cancer came back along with other complications and we sadly had to put our sweet boy down (he was 12 years old). During that process, everyone was so caring and attentive to us. We were able to say good bye privately in a back room that they have in their practive. A week later we received a card from the practice which was such a nice touch. The cost of Rusty's care in the final months was costly, but the practice allowed us to do a payment plan and were so accomodating to ensure that it wasn't a huge financial burden. If you're looking for a great place with exceptional care I highly recommend the doctor's at Providence Veterinary.

Providence is the most expensive Vet in south Charlotte. Did fine work but quoted me 308.00 for a standard procedure but ended up charging me 410.00 because they said they misheard me when they quoted me the price. Even without that the are very costly. These are the most expensive guys around and are no better. I don't mind paying more if I get more but there service and facilities are just average. If it is anything routine save yourself 20% and go to one of the other good vets around that aren't way over priced.

Providence Veterinary Associates has alway been my choice for my animals, Dr. Weeks being the Vet I am most familiar with. Aside from any serious illness that my pet might be suffering, it is always a pleasure to walk into a state of the art, immaculate facility and see the smiling faces of all of the staff. Everyone is friendly, patient and professional in every aspect of a visit. Dr Weeks has treated my pets for surgery and on a regular basis for as long as he has been in practice and I have complete confidence in him and his staff to diagnose and treat my pets with expert care. I highly recommend Providence Veterinary Associates and their staff to anyone considering a Veterinary Professional.

I have been taking my dogs to Providence Veterinary Associates since they opened their doors in 1993. At that time there was only one vet, Dr.Weeks. Obviously, as the practice grew, Dr. Boniquisti and Dr. Elliott came on board. Since I've known Dr. Weeks the longest, he is my first choice when making appointments. But things come up and I've had my dogs treated by the other vets. They have always received excellent treatment. Each of the vets have different personalities and it sounds like ncbonitachica was used to Dr. Elliott's effervescent personality. Dr. Boniquisti has a more clinical approach to treating your pets. I would and do trust each of these vets with my dog's life. As for the rest of the staff, they are all caring and consumate professionals. Also, I don't care if they fed my dog filet mignon, he still wouldn't think it would be fun going to the vets. He does appreciate the luvs he gets while he's there!

Providence Veterinary Associates has been taking care of my three pets all their lives, and they've only been seen by Dr. Bonacquisti. They have had better care all these years than I have received at times from some of my medical doctors! (I only wish Dr. Bonacquisti practiced human medicine!) He's is thorough, professional, and patiently answers all of my questions. He has brought my cat and dogs through some serious health issues -- including trauma injuries, neurological problems, and a heart condition. I'm not sure what the other reviewer experienced -- my pets have never had a need to be muzzled. Then again, my pets don't try to bite the doctor. And they love being up and down on things like our bed and sofa at home, so naturally they're fine with the exam table at the vet. (I can't even imagine asking the doctor to crawl around on the floor to examine a dog while the dog tries to bite him!) Our veterinary visits with Dr. Bonacquisti have never been anything but pleasant for me and my pets. I have never been less than fully satisfied with the services he and the staff have consistently provided to my pets and my family. I would never trust my pets with anyone else!

I moved to the Charlotte area about 6 months ago and needed a vet. A neighbor told me to give her vet a try. I needed to board my dog and his vaccines were not current so I gave her vet's office a call. I was very impressed on how helpful the receptionist on the phone was by getting all of my dogs records from my vet in Charleston and letting me know what she needed to be boarded. When my dog usually went to the vet she was always scared to death, sometimes even had to be sedated. The assistants talked so sweetly to her she didn't seem to know she was at the vet. Dr Weeks was great with her . My experience was great knowing I didn't have to have her sedated because everyone made her feel so happy. This office made my dog leave with her tail wagging and a chew treat, not realizing she had just been at the vet. Two weeks later, a coworker had a litter of kittens dropped off in her property. I adopted one and took it straight to the vet. I did not have an appointment. They were very good about working me into their schedule. I just had the kitten neutered and declawed a few weeks ago by Dr Bonaquisti and I can't believe how well my kitten did after the surgery. I had another cat declawed years ago and it took a LONG time to overcome that trauma. Dr Bonaquisti did a fantastic job. I am glad my neighbor told me about this office.

I recently visited Providence Veterinary for my dog to recieve her yearly check up. Normally I see Dr. Laura Elliott and she is excellent with my dog. Well my last visit I had Dr. Joseph Bonacquisti which I felt either has been over worked or doesn't want to be in this line of business. I felt my visit was very rushed and he didnt spend adequate time with my dog to make her feel that coming to the vet is a good experience. My dog was muzzled immediately (she wasnt showing any signs of aggression i.e. snapping, growling, etc.). She was acting like any normal dog that didnt understand why the table was moving up. Here's a thought: you can always exam the dog on the floor 60lb dogs shouldnt be on tables anyways! I feel in order to build a relationship with the dog so they understand that going to the vet is a favorable experience more time should be spent paying attention to the dog. I dont even think a treat was offered. Instead now my dog has this horrible perception of the vet. Shots, therometers in uncomfortable places, muzzles, etc. So rather than just complaining about this I am also changing vets. I dont appreciate spending large amounts of money for my dog and I to feel we recieved nothing except pain. Other than our experience with Dr. Bonacquisti the rest of the staff is wonderfull. That's why I gave 2 stars.
