They took good care of my cat, the incision looked super clean and well done. I'm super happy with the clinic and have told many people about them. The only reason I'm taking off 1 star is because when I made my appointment, I scheduled it 3 weeks after her initial round of vaccines so it would be just in time for her boosters and she could get them done there. So I made the appointment and the person that helped me schedule confirmed she would get her boosters and dewormed, but didn't tell me that if I didn't tell the people at check in she wouldn't get it done. So it was a small misunderstanding but I wish it would've been made more clear that if you don't say something twice it won't get done. Other than that everything was great and I think it's a great organization. Don't forget to donate some food when you go!

They have a food pantry for the animals that belong to homeless people, or people who are down on their luck
and need help feeding and taking care of their best friends.
It is important for people who can pay to go and help supplement this mission by using their services and by making a donation to where they can continue taking care of those who are less fortunate. Their pricing seems to be about a 3rd of what other Veterinarian clinics charge. Injections are $12.00, office visits $35.00 Dental cleanings are $ 175.00

Stand for Animals is a super tight ship and although they are efficient, they aren't cold. When you walk in, you can really tell that the people who work there really care. With the monthly special, I only paid $50 to spay my cat and I was given clear instructions on how to administer her pain meds when I picked her up the next morning. I was even given a strip of gauze to tie her e-collar on when I said that I did not have a collar for her. I thought my heart was going to break when I saw her after her surgery but that wasn't the case. I could tell that my girl was well taken care of.

I was very excited to have my kittens spayed and neutered here. However, they will never be going back. I am extremely upset about my experience with this place. Upon arrival yesterday morning, I explained that my kittens had an accident on the way in and one carrier was a complete mess so bad that I had them both in one carrier. I did not have the means in my car to clean it up myself, but I did try my best. After explaining my situation, the clipboard lady said it was no problem, go get the other carrier and we will clean it up for you so they can be separated. I made sure that was okay and apologized and thanked her a billion times and gave her the messy carrier. I went to pick them up this morning and upon getting them home I see that they did not clean the carrier, they just covered it up with the hard bottom, leaving a complete mess just under where my kitten was laying. My kitten has an open wound and they stuck her in a carrier that still had poop in it. Really? I was in actual tears knowing my baby had to be stuck in there like that. Instead, they charged me for a cardboard carrier without my knowledge or without me even being able to keep it. I don’t understand why they didn’t just suggest a cardboard carrier in the first place. I would have been more than happy to go that route. I also purchased two e collars for both my babies and they gave them to me already put together. They are so big that they won’t stay on for more than a minute and seem to be on the tightest setting. What a waste of $20 and now I can’t stop them from licking. Please do not tell your guests that you can accommodate accidents if you are not actually willing to. I find this place very unprofessional.

Amazing place to have your pet neutered and for the incredible price buy sincerely caring and professional vets. Even though we had the money and have a good veterinarian we were still able to save hundreds of dollars & get our beloved Cooper taken care of and contribute to their cause. I got my dog spayed here AND her first round of shots for only $50!! on the other hand, I just left a different place where I paid $71 only for $11 antibiotics that the Dr admitted he doesn't know if it will help my dog. lesson learned: I'll never stray from Spay Neuter again! Yall are hands down the best, I'm always recommending this place.

However.. if you have a small kitten (as I do) i would tell you to not purchase the cone. I made that mistake, it was 2x the size of my kittens head. They would not refund the $10.. but, because everything else was so perfect.. I cant complain. Just wanted to let others know.. to wait and see if it fits before prepaying.

We needed to get our female dog spayed around her 6 month mark so that we could still bring her to doggy daycare. We got quotes from our vet and another recommended vet to see what the cost would be and they were upwards of $400-$500. After talking to a couple of coworkers, and actually someone who review this place on here, I decided to bring our puppy to Spay Neuter Charlotte.Spay Neuter Charlotte sometimes runs specials on their services and December spaying your dog was around $65! So much less expensive than the vet. We scheduled our appointment for December and then travel plans caused us to have to reschedule for January. I emailed them and they said that they would honor the December special since thats what we initially scheduled for our appointment, which was awesome.The fact that the cost was so low did make me kind of skeptical. But i called them and asked them why it was so cheap - and they explained it had to with funding they received but their vets were qualified to do what they were doing and do them all the time. That made me feel a little more comfortable along with my two coworkers who brought both of their dogs (male) there to get the neutering done.When you go, its a little hectic. You have to leave your dog in the car to check in, it kind of seems like mass chaos in the building as there is not a ton of organization and its a small space. But everyone was very friendly and helpful. After the surgery, anytime I had a question about how my dog was healing, I emailed their vet, even after hours. The vet always responded very quickly and was helpful as to saying that what I was seeing was normal. I probably emailed this person 3 times in a 1 week span! I would recommend this place to anyone that didn't want to spend an arm and leg to get their dog spayed/neutered.

Went here for the first time to get my puppy neutered. I'd recommend people to check out if there are any specials because for December it was all dogs for $65! I couldn't pass on that deal. When coming in for the appointment you must have your dog in the car because all the cats come in first. They then give instructions super super fast. So you must pay attention. I know it's 7:30AM but you definitely don't want to miss anything. They provide microchip and cones and any other vaccines for additional charges. My puppy happen to have one testicle that was hard to find. And if this happens to you it'll be additional charges as well. So it can become pricey overall. When I came to pick up my puppy at 3PM they gave another speedy instruction. And you pay upon pickup. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 star is because the prescription and medicine given did not match up. I even called and emailed for further clarification and no one has responded. But then again it's during the holidays.Edit* They actually responded but it was in the junk email so if you were to have any questions makes sure you check the spam and junk folders!

I was terrified to have my furchild under anesthesia for her spay, and SNC was super patient in answering every single one of my weird questions! When the day came, and I brought Millie in, they were so patient in checking her in. (And all the activity with other dogs was a little scary for my dog too, so she was shaking and scared), they were clear with telling me the procedure, and getting her in the back for her surgery. When I came back to get her, I could quickly pay, get the meds and the take home package, and get her from the clinic and bring her home, and I could send any questions I had which was wonderful when I didn't know what i was doing- and they were very quick to respond. Thank you SNC! You are amazing!

They were so organized and so friendly, go her in did not wait very long gave her shots and have a visit with doctor and know what to do about her teeth got her meds for when surgery is to happen, and got heart worm tested and meds for that. all around very happy that we went there. We will be making this our clinic. I know there are some poor reviews but with all places there can be accidents, and things can happen. happens in Hospitals for people too!

I have to say I was a little nervous at first about going to a clinic like this and not my regular vet, but I'm so glad I made the choice to take my puppy here to get fixed. For the amount of animals they have come in everyday they have a pretty simplified process, and you can tell they really do care about our furbabies. I would definitely recommend going here to get your pet fixed so you don't pay the premium vet fees.

She has gone far, far above and beyond the call of duty to enable me give our precious kitty Frankie good care while I also care for husband who has been diagnosed with ALS. What at first seemed like insurmountable obstacles to caring for Frankie became doable with Dr. Ackerman's concern and guidance. Although Frankie passed away today, his last weeks were as good as could be and the extraordinarily kind care Dr. Ackerman showed us inspires me as I continue caring for my husband and our other kitties. Thank you, Dr. Ackerman...you are a treasure and an angel!!!

There was a complete 'assembly line' feeling to the entire process, and they insisted that everyone leave their dog in the car until we were all registered. One man brought a very large and excitable dog into the lobby that was knocking into people, but he was never asked to remove the dog. So between the "factory approach" and the uneven enforcement of "the rules", I cannot suggest this place at all. For a little icing on the cake they called me an hour later to see why I missed the appointment and took an argumentative attitude when I described my experience. The girl on the phone literally told me to "let her finish talking, ok" while I was trying to describe the experience. Just so unprofessional.

I highly recommend this place for spay and neutering! My vet wanted to charge me $400.00 to spay my puppy. That seemed outrageous to me so I did a little research and found this clinic. On surgery day they sit down with all of the puppy parents and explain everything. They were really thorough and have figured out how to do things quick and efficient. Upon picking her up I wasn't quite sure what my total would be so I was expecting maybe $100.00 but to my surprise the surgery, cone and pain pills only cost me $30.00!! I was in shock! Thank you Spay and Neuter Charlotte for providing essential vet care for a low cost!

Why didn't anyone tell me about this place sooner?The best way I can describe the Spay Neuter Charlotte Clinic: it's basically like the health department for pets. It's such an affordable option for pet care. Yorkies have really bad teeth and must get them cleaned annually. At my normal vet, it costs a ridiculous amount of money. Ridiculous should be in 54 point font. Here, it's a fraction of the price. Seriously, I wasted so much money over the years by not coming to this place. I love how they write the names of all the pets on the chalkboard doors each day. Everyone here is really nice and you can tell they love what they do. I can't say enough good things about Elizabeth Welch. She's such a good person and I know Marley is in goods hands every time I bring him here. They get pretty busy, so make sure to book an appointment plenty ahead of time. The dental cleanings especially. Check their website, they also have monthly specials. There are clinics in both NoDa and Pineville.

I'm so impressed with this place and grateful. I needed to spay a neighborhood stray and couldn't pay a vet. The vet assistant at my vet said this is where she took her cat! (So she can't afford the vet she works for.) Spay Neuter of Charlotte was wonderful. Affordable! They didn't keep me waiting long for an appt. They had a doctor look at my stray before I left her to make sure she was healthy enough to proceed (after I indicated on paperwork that she'd been on antibiotics recently). They explained things well. Provided pain meds for my foster kitty. She came out fine and recovered quickly and her incision is almost invisible. She's doing great. They help so many people. It was crowded. But they do a great job and are kind and caring. Thanks!

I've never gotten major procedures or spay/Neuter services, but I've been to this location at least 3 times and have always been happy with their services. For the past two years, I've gotten my dog's annual wellness visit here. Meaning, his yearly vaccines, rabies,heart worm test and prevention. I've also stopped by for a discounted flea and tick collar. This clinic costs half or less the amount of my normal vet! I've easily been able to make appointments. The women at the check out are very friendly and knowledgeable and the vet techs are kind and get you in and out in a timely manner. The waiting room is clean, I have no complaints. For people who have pets and want to properly care for them, but may not have the money to afford a traditional vet for standard/ mandatory services this place is a life saver!

They took good care of my cat, the incision looked super clean and well done. I'm super happy with the clinic and have told many people about them. The only reason I'm taking off 1 star is because when I made my appointment, I scheduled it 3 weeks after her initial round of vaccines so it would be just in time for her boosters and she could get them done there. So I made the appointment and the person that helped me schedule confirmed she would get her boosters and dewormed, but didn't tell me that if I didn't tell the people at check in she wouldn't get it done. So it was a small misunderstanding but I wish it would've been made more clear that if you don't say something twice it won't get done. Other than that everything was great and I think it's a great organization. Don't forget to donate some food when you go!

and need help feeding and taking care of their best friends.
It is important for people who can pay to go and help supplement this mission by using their services and by making a donation to where they can continue taking care of those who are less fortunate. Their pricing seems to be about a 3rd of what other Veterinarian clinics charge. Injections are $12.00, office visits $35.00 Dental cleanings are $ 175.00

Stand for Animals is a super tight ship and although they are efficient, they aren't cold. When you walk in, you can really tell that the people who work there really care. With the monthly special, I only paid $50 to spay my cat and I was given clear instructions on how to administer her pain meds when I picked her up the next morning. I was even given a strip of gauze to tie her e-collar on when I said that I did not have a collar for her. I thought my heart was going to break when I saw her after her surgery but that wasn't the case. I could tell that my girl was well taken care of.

I was very excited to have my kittens spayed and neutered here. However, they will never be going back. I am extremely upset about my experience with this place. Upon arrival yesterday morning, I explained that my kittens had an accident on the way in and one carrier was a complete mess so bad that I had them both in one carrier. I did not have the means in my car to clean it up myself, but I did try my best. After explaining my situation, the clipboard lady said it was no problem, go get the other carrier and we will clean it up for you so they can be separated. I made sure that was okay and apologized and thanked her a billion times and gave her the messy carrier. I went to pick them up this morning and upon getting them home I see that they did not clean the carrier, they just covered it up with the hard bottom, leaving a complete mess just under where my kitten was laying. My kitten has an open wound and they stuck her in a carrier that still had poop in it. Really? I was in actual tears knowing my baby had to be stuck in there like that. Instead, they charged me for a cardboard carrier without my knowledge or without me even being able to keep it. I don’t understand why they didn’t just suggest a cardboard carrier in the first place. I would have been more than happy to go that route. I also purchased two e collars for both my babies and they gave them to me already put together. They are so big that they won’t stay on for more than a minute and seem to be on the tightest setting. What a waste of $20 and now I can’t stop them from licking. Please do not tell your guests that you can accommodate accidents if you are not actually willing to. I find this place very unprofessional.

I got my dog spayed here AND her first round of shots for only $50!! on the other hand, I just left a different place where I paid $71 only for $11 antibiotics that the Dr admitted he doesn't know if it will help my dog. lesson learned: I'll never stray from Spay Neuter again! Yall are hands down the best, I'm always recommending this place.

However.. if you have a small kitten (as I do) i would tell you to not purchase the cone. I made that mistake, it was 2x the size of my kittens head. They would not refund the $10.. but, because everything else was so perfect.. I cant complain. Just wanted to let others know.. to wait and see if it fits before prepaying.

We needed to get our female dog spayed around her 6 month mark so that we could still bring her to doggy daycare. We got quotes from our vet and another recommended vet to see what the cost would be and they were upwards of $400-$500. After talking to a couple of coworkers, and actually someone who review this place on here, I decided to bring our puppy to Spay Neuter Charlotte.Spay Neuter Charlotte sometimes runs specials on their services and December spaying your dog was around $65! So much less expensive than the vet. We scheduled our appointment for December and then travel plans caused us to have to reschedule for January. I emailed them and they said that they would honor the December special since thats what we initially scheduled for our appointment, which was awesome.The fact that the cost was so low did make me kind of skeptical. But i called them and asked them why it was so cheap - and they explained it had to with funding they received but their vets were qualified to do what they were doing and do them all the time. That made me feel a little more comfortable along with my two coworkers who brought both of their dogs (male) there to get the neutering done.When you go, its a little hectic. You have to leave your dog in the car to check in, it kind of seems like mass chaos in the building as there is not a ton of organization and its a small space. But everyone was very friendly and helpful. After the surgery, anytime I had a question about how my dog was healing, I emailed their vet, even after hours. The vet always responded very quickly and was helpful as to saying that what I was seeing was normal. I probably emailed this person 3 times in a 1 week span! I would recommend this place to anyone that didn't want to spend an arm and leg to get their dog spayed/neutered.

I have had only great experiences here! Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable! It is also kept very clean. Went here for the first time to get my puppy neutered. I'd recommend people to check out if there are any specials because for December it was all dogs for $65! I couldn't pass on that deal. When coming in for the appointment you must have your dog in the car because all the cats come in first. They then give instructions super super fast. So you must pay attention. I know it's 7:30AM but you definitely don't want to miss anything. They provide microchip and cones and any other vaccines for additional charges. My puppy happen to have one testicle that was hard to find. And if this happens to you it'll be additional charges as well. So it can become pricey overall. When I came to pick up my puppy at 3PM they gave another speedy instruction. And you pay upon pickup. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 star is because the prescription and medicine given did not match up. I even called and emailed for further clarification and no one has responded. But then again it's during the holidays.Edit* They actually responded but it was in the junk email so if you were to have any questions makes sure you check the spam and junk folders!

I was terrified to have my furchild under anesthesia for her spay, and SNC was super patient in answering every single one of my weird questions! When the day came, and I brought Millie in, they were so patient in checking her in. (And all the activity with other dogs was a little scary for my dog too, so she was shaking and scared), they were clear with telling me the procedure, and getting her in the back for her surgery. When I came back to get her, I could quickly pay, get the meds and the take home package, and get her from the clinic and bring her home, and I could send any questions I had which was wonderful when I didn't know what i was doing- and they were very quick to respond. They were so organized and so friendly, go her in did not wait very long gave her shots and have a visit with doctor and know what to do about her teeth got her meds for when surgery is to happen, and got heart worm tested and meds for that. all around very happy that we went there. We will be making this our clinic. I know there are some poor reviews but with all places there can be accidents, and things can happen. happens in Hospitals for people too!

I have to say I was a little nervous at first about going to a clinic like this and not my regular vet, but I'm so glad I made the choice to take my puppy here to get fixed. For the amount of animals they have come in everyday they have a pretty simplified process, and you can tell they really do care about our furbabies. I would definitely recommend going here to get your pet fixed so you don't pay the premium vet fees.

She has gone far, far above and beyond the call of duty to enable me give our precious kitty Frankie good care while I also care for husband who has been diagnosed with ALS. What at first seemed like insurmountable obstacles to caring for Frankie became doable with Dr. Ackerman's concern and guidance. Although Frankie passed away today, his last weeks were as good as could be and the extraordinarily kind care Dr. Ackerman showed us inspires me as I continue caring for my husband and our other kitties. Thank you, Dr. Ackerman...you are a treasure and an angel!!!

I never even let them touch my dog and if you love your pet, I suggest that you not take them here. There was a complete 'assembly line' feeling to the entire process, and they insisted that everyone leave their dog in the car until we were all registered. One man brought a very large and excitable dog into the lobby that was knocking into people, but he was never asked to remove the dog. So between the "factory approach" and the uneven enforcement of "the rules", I cannot suggest this place at all. For a little icing on the cake they called me an hour later to see why I missed the appointment and took an argumentative attitude when I described my experience. The girl on the phone literally told me to "let her finish talking, ok" while I was trying to describe the experience. Just so unprofessional.

I highly recommend this place for spay and neutering! My vet wanted to charge me $400.00 to spay my puppy. That seemed outrageous to me so I did a little research and found this clinic. On surgery day...
I highly recommend this place for spay and neutering! My vet wanted to charge me $400.00 to spay my puppy. That seemed outrageous to me so I did a little research and found this clinic. On surgery day they sit down with all of the puppy parents and explain everything. They were really thorough and have figured out how to do things quick and efficient. Upon picking her up I wasn't quite sure what my total would be so I was expecting maybe $100.00 but to my surprise the surgery, cone and pain pills only cost me $30.00!! I was in shock! Thank you Spay and Neuter Charlotte for providing essential vet care for a low cost!

Why didn't anyone tell me about this place sooner?The best way I can describe the Spay Neuter Charlotte Clinic: it's basically like the health department for pets. It's such an affordable option for pet care. Yorkies have really bad teeth and must get them cleaned annually. At my normal vet, it costs a ridiculous amount of money. Ridiculous should be in 54 point font. Here, it's a fraction of the price. Seriously, I wasted so much money over the years by not coming to this place. I love how they write the names of all the pets on the chalkboard doors each day. Everyone here is really nice and you can tell they love what they do. I can't say enough good things about Elizabeth Welch. She's such a good person and I know Marley is in goods hands every time I bring him here. They get pretty busy, so make sure to book an appointment plenty ahead of time. The dental cleanings especially. Check their website, they also have monthly specials. There are clinics in both NoDa and Pineville.

I'm so impressed with this place and grateful. I needed to spay a neighborhood stray and couldn't pay a vet. The vet assistant at my vet said this is where she took her cat! (So she can't afford the vet she works for.) Spay Neuter of Charlotte was wonderful. Affordable! They didn't keep me waiting long for an appt. They had a doctor look at my stray before I left her to make sure she was healthy enough to proceed (after I indicated on paperwork that she'd been on antibiotics recently). They explained things well. Provided pain meds for my foster kitty. She came out fine and recovered quickly and her incision is almost invisible. She's doing great. They help so many people. It was crowded. But they do a great job and are kind and caring. Thanks!

I'm very surprised with the negative reviews for this clinic. I've never gotten major procedures or spay/Neuter services, but I've been to this location at least 3 times and have always been happy with their services. For the past two years, I've gotten my dog's annual wellness visit here. Meaning, his yearly vaccines, rabies,heart worm test and prevention. I've also stopped by for a discounted flea and tick collar. This clinic costs half or less the amount of my normal vet! I've easily been able to make appointments. The women at the check out are very friendly and knowledgeable and the vet techs are kind and get you in and out in a timely manner. The waiting room is clean, I have no complaints. For people who have pets and want to properly care for them, but may not have the money to afford a traditional vet for standard/ mandatory services this place is a life saver!
