WOW, so many great things to say about VCA Animal Hospital where to start. When I called the young lady was very kind and helpful! When I got to the Hospital with my puppy, staff was sweet and gentle towards my family and puppy it was amazing experience! Then the Vet Doctor and Vet Tech was super wonderful, they made everything easy and comfortable for my family first time visit. Even when we didn't have lot of funds, the Vet Doctor worked within our budget to help my puppy feel better. Today the puppy is well and she's progressing daily and I am grateful we was turned in the right direction seeking care for our new edition to our family!

Staff are wonderful with my pet. She is nervous when we go to the vet and the staff make her feel comfortable. The staff give several alternatives about treatment. I was leary about using their services initially when I read some of the reviews. They are not about how much money they can get from you. They genuinely care about the health and well being of your pet. I have been coming here for over a year and I am very pleased.

Michael Hayden....I came to you two weeks ago to treat my family member for an hematoma on his ear. Yesterday morning he died. You know why? Because of the additional side effects of Prednisone, the drug you prescribed, that you did not mention to us. The side effects you said weren’t possible with that drug, but after careful research turns out that was a lie. Thursday morning, he vomited four times and suffered from constipation the rest of that day. He stayed outside that entire day. Mind you he’s a house dog. My mother called you for advice in the matter and you assumed his constipation came from eating “bones or seeds”. Let me tell you guy, we run a tight ship over here. That would never happen. Friday morning he died. In pain. Moaning and groaning until he stopped breathing. My dog has been healthy and active all his life. And 13 days after I bring him to you he just so happens to roll over and die???.... I observed you. You don’t care much. To you it’s just work. Get them in and get them out. If you would of drained his ear as I requested initially, Manolo would still be alive today. Even then you could of prescribed that crab in a smaller dosage to keep the inflammation from coming back. I hope you reconsider what you do for a living. I wonder if your heart is into treating animals. Because if it is, I don’t see it.

Just moved to CLT area and needed a vet for an emergency visit, they fit us in no problem on a Saturday morning.The vet and tech were great at handling my dog who is not a fan of vet offices. We were expecting a huge bill and lots of testings, and I believe most vets would have gone this route. They didn't think drastic steps were needed after the exam and the bill was extremely reasonable and after a few days of medicine our dog was back to normal!

I needed a vet in a hurry due to an unknown issue our cat had and the front office staff was awesome. But once in the exam room I knew this was the vet for us! Brandon, the veterinary technician extraordinaire, was not only awesome but an obvious animal lover! The vet, Dr Peer, was awesome too! The kitty needs oral surgery next week but she got her on antibiotics and pain meds right away. Expensive, yes but what specialist isnt? The first visit was free! With that said they did all they could to get me a package to lower the cost and provide clear information on what I would be paying. I look forward to bringing my animals here from now on.

I am so happy I found this amazing hospital to help me take care of my puppy Na'la. I first contacted the Humane Society and received bad customer service. I remember seeing VCA when I used to live in that area. From the initial conversation on the phone making an appointment to getting the first examination was amazing! They help me figure out the cheapest way to get Na'la started on getting up-to-date on her shots. Then I decided to get her groomed and she came out looking like a cute princess. The staff and Dr. Michael Hayden made us felt like home!

Took my dog here because he had symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea. They recommended x-rays that would cost 300$ than said they would also need blood work which would be an extra 200$ could not afford that at that time so took my chances and waited to find a cheaper vet clinic. Found one in matthews a couple days later assuming everywhere would be around the same price. They only charged me 90$ for x-rays found out he had an obstruction and it was too late. If only these horrible people gave reasonable prices my dog would still be alive. It's disgusting how much of a price difference there is don't ever take your pet here there's plenty others near matthews with better prices and amazing veterinarian's that truly care. My dog would still be alive!

My bf took our two month old kitten to be seen for an upper respiratory infection. Where they also told us she had ear mites and worms when she didn't have either. She in fact had FIP, a none curable disease and we ended up having to put her down at another vet and bill. Never coming here again.

I took my pup here for the first time about a week ago. Everything was fine. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. This was my first time ever taking an animal to a hospital (I'm from the country...out there we figure it out lol) Anyway, not knowing what to expect I ended up paying a lot more than I anticipated so it was fine then. Now that I'm seeing so many different reviews I'm thinking I could have paid less elsewhere. The real reason for 3 stars is that I wasn't able to go back with my pup during treatment. Definitely a red flag. How do I know I got what I paid for. My pup has human qualities but she can't speak lol Anyway, I'll have to see if going into the examination room is an option before counting this place out. It's too close to my home right now to rule out completely.

Staff was really sweet. Dr Hayden was demeaning and rude. I'm a full time student. I don't have a lot of money right now. But I love animals. I brought in a stray I found because he was sick. I told them I'm was on a budget. If I could just get him well I would bring him back as soon as I got the money to have him fixed and vaccinated. (I know how important these things are.) That did not seem to matter to him. He kept pushing them on me and when I told him I could only afford the antibiotic the cat had to have he got rude. I'm not sure how he expected me to pay??? He has me in tears by the time he left the room to get the medicine, which was $74 by the way. I plan on giving this sweet cat the best care possible as soon as I am financially able. But I will never step foot into this office again. He literally made me feel like trash for trying to be a Good Samaritan. Never again.

I needed a vet in a hurry due to an unknown issue our cat had and the front office staff was awesome. But once in the exam room I knew this was the vet for us! They recommended x-rays that would cost 300$ than said they would also need blood work which would be an extra 200$ could not afford that at that time so took my chances and waited to find a cheaper vet clinic. Found one in matthews a couple days later assuming everywhere would be around the same price. They only charged me 90$ for x-rays found out he had an obstruction and it was too late. If only these horrible people gave reasonable prices my dog would still be alive. It's disgusting how much of a price difference there is don't ever take your pet here there's plenty others near matthews with better prices and amazing veterinarian's that truly care. My dog would still be alive!

My bf took our two month old kitten to be seen for an upper respiratory infection. Where they also told us she had ear mites and worms when she didn't have either. She in fact had FIP, a none curable disease and we ended up having to put her down at another vet and bill. Never coming here again.

I took my pup here for the first time about a week ago. Everything was fine. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. This was my first time ever taking an animal to a hospital (I'm from the country...out there we figure it out lol) Anyway, not knowing what to expect I ended up paying a lot more than I anticipated so it was fine then. Now that I'm seeing so many different reviews I'm thinking I could have paid less elsewhere. The real reason for 3 stars is that I wasn't able to go back with my pup during treatment. Definitely a red flag. How do I know I got what I paid for. My pup has human qualities but she can't speak lol Anyway, I'll have to see if going into the examination room is an option before counting this place out. It's too close to my home right now to rule out completely.

Staff was really sweet. Dr Hayden was demeaning and rude. I'm a full time student. I don't have a lot of money right now. But I love animals. I brought in a stray I found because he was sick. I told them I'm was on a budget. If I could just get him well I would bring him back as soon as I got the money to have him fixed and vaccinated. (I know how important these things are.) That did not seem to matter to him. He kept pushing them on me and when I told him I could only afford the antibiotic the cat had to have he got rude. I'm not sure how he expected me to pay??? He has me in tears by the time he left the room to get the medicine, which was $74 by the way. I plan on giving this sweet cat the best care possible as soon as I am financially able. But I will never step foot into this office again. He literally made me feel like trash for trying to be a Good Samaritan. Never again.
