We provide many services here at Concord Parkway Animal Hospital for our small furry friends including:
*Immunization and Wellness Care
We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter package; and specialized blood tests for all life stages.
*Internal Medicine
We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: Cardiology; Ophthalmology; Neurology; Dermatology; Gastroenterology; Orthopedic surgery; Oncology; Endocrinology; among others.
*Emergency and Critical Care
In any emergency, seconds count. Dr. Roberts has spent 7 years as the Chief of Staff of a local emergency, critical care hospital. His experience and that of our experienced staff provides the best available care in an emergency situation. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we use the services of a local, fully staffed emergency center, when we are not open.
*Dental Care
Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. Dr. Roberts believes that healthy teeth and gums are essential to the quality of the life of your pet.
*Surgery
We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: board certified surgeon available for consultation; fully trained veterinary and technical staff, to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet; heated surgery tables for greater comfort; advanced sterilization techniques; ECG and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive after surgery care and full blood testing.

I've been taking my two dogs, Max & Gideon, to CPAH for going on 8 years since about February, 2008, when they were 4 weeks old. I got both of them from Kitty City who told me both dogs were found abandoned in a garbage dump in the cold of January that year. They also told me that, as they were very sick, CPAH, under the care of Dr. Stewart Roberts, brought them back to health. I decided to take them there and have never regretted it. The CPAH have helped keep my dogs healthy and the staff is super-friendly and caring. My advice: take your pet to CPAH. You won't regret it.

I am Retired/Disabled from the US ARMY. My family has a 4 year old Cat (Milo) which has been seen by Dr. Roberts since January 2017. We now have a 8month old Kitten (Cali) we rescued and has been in our care for 3months. Milo went into Heart Failure and Respiratory Distressed. Cali recently develop Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome. I want to say the honest truth because in the military you are trained on Integrity and Honesty. Dr. Roberts has gone above and beyond his duty to take care of my pets as well as his staff. We have became apart of their family as well as they have became apart of our family. The staff was very sympathetic to our situation and extremely helpful. Dr. Roberts took his time to explain in detail everything that would be done, everything that needed to be done and everything we needed to do. Dr. Roberts sees the brighter side of things and tries to make you laugh in making a hard time feel better. The last thing I could say is "Don't take my word for it, go and check Concord Parkway Animal Hospital out for yourself and make your own decisions".

I rescued two baby kittens that were 3 weeks old that I found in a box. I'd never been here before but I was scared because i couldn't get the cats to poop. They gave me a dewormer and a stool softener for both kittens and the staff was extremely nice through it all. Ive always had older cats that my mom would rescue so they gave me a lot of pamphlets on kittens to know what to expect. Callie and Toes will be going here for everything!

I called for a spay appointment after feeling my last vet was charging me for services I wouldn't need (my pet is already chipped and they wouldn't take that fee off their spay fee). I made an instant decision after how helpful the lady on the phone was. My apologies, but I didn't get her name. She offered to call the previous vet to get my puppy, and her sisters' records. Then when it came to surgery day I was a nervous wreck. They listened to me ramble about my puppy and advised me I could call any time throughout the day to check on my baby. Me being who I am, I called. They were so accommodating. They called when they said they would, were super nice, explained in great detail what to expect tonight and the coming days, and the service was LESS THAN QUOTED! My girls will be going there for every visit...... Oh! And they trimmed her nails without me even asking (and I meant to ask!)!!!!

Dr. Roberts and his staff are wonderful. I have taken my dogs to Dr. Roberts for 6 years now and have received nothing but the best service. My golden retriever had several issues during his last years and Dr. Roberts helped me to navigate through them. He would also make suggestions such as acupuncture or water treadmill therapy that might help....services he doesn't provide but was able to make recommendations. I appreciated that he was thinking beyond his own services for ideas that might make my golden more comfortable.I have always felt the pricing was fair. Owning a pet is not inexpensive so I would never want a vet that everyone raves is "cheap". I want a vet that people say is knowledgeable, caring, and honest. And Dr. Roberts and his staff definitely fall into all three of those categories.

I want to thank Dr Roberts for taking care of my sweet KitKat on Friday 1/22/16 during our ice and snow day. My vet was closed and Concord Parkway Animal Hospital was open. My cat was in a fight and he was bit on the foot a few days ago and it was not getting better and it was swelling so I called his office and he was open and he was able to lance it. He did a GREAT job caring for him. He also updated his shots and gave him a check up. Now my KitKat as a new vet. I would recommend them to anyone. Very kind people.

I have been bringing my cats to this office for over 4 yrs and today is the second time they refused to see my pets in an acute condition because it was 45 minutes before they were closing(I would be there in 15 minutes) and they referred me to the emergency clinic 10 miles further down the road. The first time I had to put my baby down, they refused being to close to closing time and this time I don't know . My baby is not recovering well from a procedure performed in an emergency situation yesterday and I just wanted him to have a look and make sure the abscess was healing and not worsening. I had called them earlier in the day to let them know I would be in if I felt the situation was not getting better. Told them he hadn't urinated in somewhere over 6 hrs and it didn't matter , so callous. Well finding a new doctor tomorrow.

I took my dog because of a cough due to tracheal collapse. While the visit took over an hour Dr Roberts examined my dog in under 3 minutes. He prescribed a bronchial diolater as well as an antibiotic ...
I took my dog because of a cough due to tracheal collapse. While the visit took over an hour Dr Roberts examined my dog in under 3 minutes. He prescribed a bronchial diolater as well as an antibiotic for him. While his cough did stop he began to have very bad intestinal distress. I called early on the am asking to speak to the Dr about what was going on and was told he would call me right back after not hearing back from him I began to google the medications he was prescribed. ToMy horror it clearly noted on the FDA webSite as well as several other reputable sites that these 2 drugs should never be prescribed together and the rests could be fatal. I immediately called the animal emergency hospital which confirmed that these were not to be used together. I called Dr Roberts and told his receptionist what was going on and she hung up on me. When I called back and told the next receptionist she hung up on me too. Several hours later Dr Roberta called and was less than apologetic stating that even though they are contraindicative of one another he's used them before. When I told him about his receptionist hanging up on me he first said that he was in a room with a patient them he said he was standing right next to her. He is a liar and his prescription almost killed my dog

My sister recommended Concord Parkway Animal Hospital to me. I had been taking my pets to Banfield (Petsmart). I thought the staff was very friendly and Dr. Roberts took the time to talk to us and answer any questions we had concerning Buster, our pug. He even diagnosed Buster with peridontal disease, something Banfield overlooked for years. Their motto is "Quality Medicine...Compassionate Care" and this is true. Exceptional service, knowledgable and friendly staff and reasoanably priced. We are so pleased!

Our relationship is over.Short and sweet...Are Dr. Roberts and his staff knowledgeable? YesIs everyone friendly? YesDo they have a nice, clean office? YesDo you get charged for services that you did not request? YESAre they the only vet in town? No thank goodness.Sorry, but I do not have money to throw away. I will take my business elsewhere. 2 examples offhand that occurred on my past 2 visits there:1)My cat has FLUTD. I took my cat's urine in to the office with me. The office told me I could do this. I had to camp out at the litter box and catch the urine in a ladle. The office still charged me $75ish to cath my cat and perform a urinalysis. They said the doctor 'likes' to use his own specimens. BUT they never told me that they didn't use my specimen until I got home and dissected the bill. I called the office back to tell them I had brought my own specimen, but was still charged for a cath and they were still not certain if my specimen was used or the doctors...but that he 'probably' cathed for a new specimen. Keyword...probably. 2)My dog went in for an eye problem last week. When I got to the desk to check out my jaw dropped over the amount. A few of the charges I agreed to, or felt obligated by suggestion of the doctor. BUT...When she went down the charges there was a charge for a nail trim. I didn't ask for a nail trim. I questioned this....she said it was difficult and the doctor did it while 2 techs held him...that's why you charged me? I don't care who did it...I did not ask for it. NO, not one single employee there asked me if I wanted them to trim my dog's nails. And the least the doctor could do is say Thank You for the doggie bandannas that i took for him and his staff.

I've been taking my two dogs, Max & Gideon, to CPAH for going on 8 years since about February, 2008, when they were 4 weeks old. I got both of them from Kitty City who told me both dogs were found abandoned in a garbage dump in the cold of January that year. They also told me that, as they were very sick, CPAH, under the care of Dr. Stewart Roberts, brought them back to health. I decided to take them there and have never regretted it. The CPAH have helped keep my dogs healthy and the staff is super-friendly and caring. My advice: take your pet to CPAH. You won't regret it.

I am Retired/Disabled from the US ARMY. My family has a 4 year old Cat (Milo) which has been seen by Dr. Roberts since January 2017. We now have a 8month old Kitten (Cali) we rescued and has been in our care for 3months. Milo went into Heart Failure and Respiratory Distressed. Cali recently develop Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome. I want to say the honest truth because in the military you are trained on Integrity and Honesty. Dr. Roberts has gone above and beyond his duty to take care of my pets as well as his staff. We have became apart of their family as well as they have became apart of our family. The staff was very sympathetic to our situation and extremely helpful. Dr. Roberts took his time to explain in detail everything that would be done, everything that needed to be done and everything we needed to do. Dr. Roberts sees the brighter side of things and tries to make you laugh in making a hard time feel better. The last thing I could say is "Don't take my word for it, go and check Concord Parkway Animal Hospital out for yourself and make your own decisions".

I rescued two baby kittens that were 3 weeks old that I found in a box. I'd never been here before but I was scared because i couldn't get the cats to poop. They gave me a dewormer and a stool softener for both kittens and the staff was extremely nice through it all. Ive always had older cats that my mom would rescue so they gave me a lot of pamphlets on kittens to know what to expect. Callie and Toes will be going here for everything!

I called for a spay appointment after feeling my last vet was charging me for services I wouldn't need (my pet is already chipped and they wouldn't take that fee off their spay fee). I made an instant decision after how helpful the lady on the phone was. My apologies, but I didn't get her name. She offered to call the previous vet to get my puppy, and her sisters' records. Then when it came to surgery day I was a nervous wreck. They listened to me ramble about my puppy and advised me I could call any time throughout the day to check on my baby. Me being who I am, I called. They were so accommodating. They called when they said they would, were super nice, explained in great detail what to expect tonight and the coming days, and the service was LESS THAN QUOTED! My girls will be going there for every visit...... Oh! And they trimmed her nails without me even asking (and I meant to ask!)!!!!

Dr. Roberts and his staff are wonderful. I have taken my dogs to Dr. Roberts for 6 years now and have received nothing but the best service. My golden retriever had several issues during his last years and Dr. Roberts helped me to navigate through them. He would also make suggestions such as acupuncture or water treadmill therapy that might help....services he doesn't provide but was able to make recommendations. I appreciated that he was thinking beyond his own services for ideas that might make my golden more comfortable.I have always felt the pricing was fair. Owning a pet is not inexpensive so I would never want a vet that everyone raves is "cheap". I want a vet that people say is knowledgeable, caring, and honest. And Dr. Roberts and his staff definitely fall into all three of those categories.

I want to thank Dr Roberts for taking care of my sweet KitKat on Friday 1/22/16 during our ice and snow day. My vet was closed and Concord Parkway Animal Hospital was open. My cat was in a fight and he was bit on the foot a few days ago and it was not getting better and it was swelling so I called his office and he was open and he was able to lance it. He did a GREAT job caring for him. He also updated his shots and gave him a check up. Now my KitKat as a new vet. I would recommend them to anyone. Very kind people.

I have been bringing my cats to this office for over 4 yrs and today is the second time they refused to see my pets in an acute condition because it was 45 minutes before they were closing(I would be there in 15 minutes) and they referred me to the emergency clinic 10 miles further down the road. The first time I had to put my baby down, they refused being to close to closing time and this time I don't know . My baby is not recovering well from a procedure performed in an emergency situation yesterday and I just wanted him to have a look and make sure the abscess was healing and not worsening. I had called them earlier in the day to let them know I would be in if I felt the situation was not getting better. Told them he hadn't urinated in somewhere over 6 hrs and it didn't matter , so callous. Well finding a new doctor tomorrow.

I took my dog because of a cough due to tracheal collapse. While the visit took over an hour Dr Roberts examined my dog in under 3 minutes. He prescribed a bronchial diolater as well as an antibiotic for him. While his cough did stop he began to have very bad intestinal distress. I called early on the am asking to speak to the Dr about what was going on and was told he would call me right back after not hearing back from him I began to google the medications he was prescribed. ToMy horror it clearly noted on the FDA webSite as well as several other reputable sites that these 2 drugs should never be prescribed together and the rests could be fatal. I immediately called the animal emergency hospital which confirmed that these were not to be used together. I called Dr Roberts and told his receptionist what was going on and she hung up on me. When I called back and told the next receptionist she hung up on me too. Several hours later Dr Roberta called and was less than apologetic stating that even though they are contraindicative of one another he's used them before. When I told him about his receptionist hanging up on me he first said that he was in a room with a patient them he said he was standing right next to her. He is a liar and his prescription almost killed my dog

My sister recommended Concord Parkway Animal Hospital to me. I had been taking my pets to Banfield (Petsmart). I thought the staff was very friendly and Dr. Roberts took the time to talk to us and answer any questions we had concerning Buster, our pug. He even diagnosed Buster with peridontal disease, something Banfield overlooked for years. Their motto is "Quality Medicine...Compassionate Care" and this is true. Exceptional service, knowledgable and friendly staff and reasoanably priced. We are so pleased!

YesDo you get charged for services that you did not request? YESAre they the only vet in town? No thank goodness.Sorry, but I do not have money to throw away. I will take my business elsewhere. 2 examples offhand that occurred on my past 2 visits there:1)My cat has FLUTD. I took my cat's urine in to the office with me. The office told me I could do this. I had to camp out at the litter box and catch the urine in a ladle. The office still charged me $75ish to cath my cat and perform a urinalysis. They said the doctor 'likes' to use his own specimens. BUT they never told me that they didn't use my specimen until I got home and dissected the bill. I called the office back to tell them I had brought my own specimen, but was still charged for a cath and they were still not certain if my specimen was used or the doctors...but that he 'probably' cathed for a new specimen. Keyword...probably. 2)My dog went in for an eye problem last week. When I got to the desk to check out my jaw dropped over the amount. A few of the charges I agreed to, or felt obligated by suggestion of the doctor. BUT...When she went down the charges there was a charge for a nail trim. I didn't ask for a nail trim. I questioned this....she said it was difficult and the doctor did it while 2 techs held him...that's why you charged me? I don't care who did it...I did not ask for it. NO, not one single employee there asked me if I wanted them to trim my dog's nails. And the least the doctor could do is say Thank You for the doggie bandannas that i took for him and his staff.
