In the past, I always hated taking my pets to the vet because I knew they would be scared and I hated to put them through that. I am thankful to say the staff at the Totalbond in Davidson have changed my perspective. I know when I take my kitten to Totalbond she is going to be looked after and treated with kindness. I've been to veterinarians before who are rather routine and distant with their patients, but such is not the case here. Every member of the staff is kind to the animals they see. They treat my kitten like the precious little lovebug she is and it makes me far less nervous about bringing her in. They're patient when I ask questions, they let me know what they're doing and treating and are knowledgeable about their profession. I feel 100% comfortable with the staff here. My little fur baby is my joy and I am so glad I am able to take her to an office full of loving people that I know I can trust to look after her. I find their services to be affordable for everything they do. You really cannot find a better vet's office. I highly recommend them. Tid bit: I usually seek out Doctor Hay but the other vets are also nice. Shelly, Katie and the other pet "nurses"/techs are all amazing. Thank you guys immensely for making our vet visits kind of fun and significantly less scary!

We've been bringing our pets to Dick Hay for 20 years now, and feel very lucky to have been able to do so. Like Dr. Hay, his staff are delightful: loving, gentle and smart. They have seen us through sad goodbyes and tail-wagging hellos. This is not a big, factory style vet hospital. This is a real vet.

Took my 11 year old dog here for the first time and he had a wonderful experience after years of being petrified of other vets. Dr. Messner and Karen were so patient and kind and took their time offering him treats and even a toy until he felt comfortable enough to let them do a complete examination. He got his shots, a blood draw and let them check his teeth, ears and other sensitive areas without growling or shaking violently as with previous vet visits. He left with his tail wagging and even got to take the toy home. All my questions were answered and prices were very reasonable!

Just brought my new puppy to TotalBond in Davidson today. It's nice to be able to bring her to Dr. Hay. He cared for my Boston Terrier, years ago when he was in Mount Holly. I moved to Cornelius recently there was no question in my mind which Veterinary Hospital I would be going to. His staff seems as caring as he is.

Dr. Hay is the best. I cannot really put into words. He has cared for our pets knowledgably and lovingly. Would not think of going anywhere else. Until recently I traveled from another town just so my pets could be under his care.
The staff is the greatest. I always feel that my pet in the best hands from getting nails cut to getting shots. Appreciate everyone on the staff!!!!!!

I highly recommend Dr. Hay and his team to anyone. Our chihuahua had bladder stones and was very sick and they took great care of him each time we visited. They went above and beyond to make him better. Dr. Hay always answered any questions we had and explained thoroughly when we wanted to know more. He and the office never rushes you and calls you if it is urgent or to check in/follow-up. There had been times I had to leave him at the office for oberservations and I knew that he'd be taken care of and I was never worried. Staff member Karen was excellent in communicating my dog's care, needs, and status to us. She went above and beyond by coming all the way to Paw Creek, where we were picking our doggy up. Having a familiar face there and being there with us was comforting - especially since I had been an emotional wreck the previous days when my dog was so sick and the turn of events that brought us to surgery. If you have a furry friends, come here for the best care.

There is no way that I could describe adequately just how much we love Total Bond Vet Hospital. We started out over 25 years ago with Dr. Hay at one of the other Total Bond locations and when he opened up the practice in Davidson, we came with him. We drive over 20 miles one way for visits for our 2 dogs (and my mom brings her 2 dogs as well as my sister and her dog). Dr. Hay and his staff treat your pet (we have had cats, guinea pigs and bunnies in and out as well) as if they were their own pets...loving on them and making them feel as comfortable as possible. If you love your pet as much as we love ours, you must bring them to Total Bond!!

Dr. Hay and his colleagues have cared for my dogs ever since I moved to Davidson in the summer of 2009. We've always had great experiences with them. They consistently provide highly competent and compassionate care. I'll never forget their kindness in coming to my house and gently putting my dog Bud to sleep in October 2012, allowing him to die comfortably in the familiar setting of his back yard and with his trusty companion Curly and me next to him.

Dr. Hay and his staff are knowledgeable and caring. We have been bringing our dogs to TotalBond, Davidson, for 12 years and are extremely well satisfied with the care that we have experienced. When we are there, we feel as if we are family. Our current dog is fearful of strangers, but the staff has magically won him over. We board our dog at TotalBond, Davidson, and he literally squeals with excitement as he makes his way up the steps. Dr. Hay and staff were very kind and compassionate when our previous dog had to be put down.

Dr. Hay and his staff were wonderful in the care of our two dogs. They met them in their(the dogs) old age and helped us through the difficult phase of end of life. You learn a lot about people at that time and we could not have asked for greater kindness to us or Razor and Rusty. We know they received the kind of care we would want for us or any member of our family. It was appropriate and compassionate. Dr. Hay even took time to write us a personal note after each pup's passing.
I highly recommend Dr. Hay, his staff and Total Bond and will be heading back there when we are ready for a new addition to the family. They have our complete trust.

In the past, I always hated taking my pets to the vet because I knew they would be scared and I hated to put them through that. I am thankful to say the staff at the Totalbond in Davidson have changed my perspective. I know when I take my kitten to Totalbond she is going to be looked after and treated with kindness. We've been bringing our pets to Dick Hay for 20 years now, and feel very lucky to have been able to do so. Like Dr. Hay, his staff are delightful: loving, gentle and smart. Took my 11 year old dog here for the first time and he had a wonderful experience after years of being petrified of other vets. Dr. Messner and Karen were so patient and kind and took their time offering him treats and even a toy until he felt comfortable enough to let them do a complete examination. He got his shots, a blood draw and let them check his teeth, ears and other sensitive areas without growling or shaking violently as with previous vet visits. He left with his tail wagging and even got to take the toy home. All my questions were answered and prices were very reasonable!

I highly recommend Dr. Hay and his team to anyone. Our chihuahua had bladder stones and was very sick and they took great care of him each time we visited. They went above and beyond to make him better. Dr. Hay always answered any questions we had and explained thoroughly when we wanted to know more. There is no way that I could describe adequately just how much we love Total Bond Vet Hospital. We started out over 25 years ago with Dr. Hay at one of the other Total Bond locations and when he opened up the practice in Davidson, we came with him. Dr. Hay and his colleagues have cared for my dogs ever since I moved to Davidson in the summer of 2009. We've always had great experiences with them. They consistently provide highly competent and compassionate care. Dr. Hay and his staff were wonderful in the care of our two dogs. They met them in their(the dogs) old age and helped us through the difficult phase of end of life. You learn a lot about people at that time and we could not have asked for greater kindness to us or Razor and Rusty. We know they received the kind of care we would want for us or any member of our family. It was appropriate and compassionate. Dr. Hay even took time to write us a personal note after each pup's passing.
I highly recommend Dr. Hay, his staff and Total Bond and will be heading back there when we are ready for a new addition to the family. They have our complete trust.
