Unfortunately we did not have a great experience recently at this vet hospital, both with getting quality care for our dog and with the boarding services especially. My husband brought our 1-year-old dog in for a limp, and when they examined her leg, for some unknown reason my husband had to be the one to hold her down, growling and snapping, so that they could sedate her to examine her leg. My husband is not trained in handling frightened/defensive/hurt animals, and I assume their staff is, so I'm not sure why he had to be involved in that, and the experience understandably left him shaken, and our dog had trouble trusting him afterward. This was all after we had brought her in the week before when the limp wasn't very bad, and we didn't get a lot of direction on how to care for it, so had gotten worse. All of this was unsettling, but we were still committed to trusting the vet, so when we unfortunately had to go out of town the following weekend we chose to board her at New Hope, thinking that the best place to board your injured dog must be at a vet hospital. We hated that we had to leave and were very anxious about it because of her injury. The vet assured us that they had the notes on her leg injury and that she would be on restricted activity while being boarded so that her leg could heal. When I picked her up Sunday after returning from weekend travels, I asked the staff member how her leg was doing and I received a curt, "I don't know anything about that, I wasn't here yesterday" in response. My dog's limp was worse and has been worse this entire week after it had noticeably improved before we boarded her at New Hope. After we called them to ask about all of this, they admitted to the error in communication to their staff about her injury, and have promised to refund the second day of her boarding fees to us, which of course is nice (no refund yet of course), but now we're not sure how many days/weeks of recovery she has been set back due to the error, so it's still very frustrating. Communicating about injuries within a vet hospital seems like the most basic service you should be able to rely on. We really trusted this vet, so it has been very disappointing that when something more serious was wrong with her and we desperately need quality care, we feel let down. Read Less
